I have been trying to make a good coffee.
I really enjoy a recipe from Lars over at ELR
I've adapted it to my stash/tastes
-
Dark Bean Espresso (FA) 0.5%
-
Vienna Cream (FA) 0.5%
-
Fresh Cream (FA) 1.5%
-
Vanilla Shisha (INW) 0.75%
-
Tiramisu (FA) 0.2%
-
MTS Vape Wizard (FA) 0.08%
Optional for added sweetness:
- Brown Sugar (TPA) 0.3-0.5%
DV Cafe Brasiliano is a decent flavoring for latte recipes though, it's espresso-like, pretty buttery and has hints of dark chocolate. Pairs really well with lighter creams, I recommend using it in conjunction with TPA Whipped Cream and FA's creams.
However, I like my coffee without any kind of milk/cream, and unfortunately I haven't seen a good recipe like that.
Corn pudding.
actual cigarette
If you're looking for a very ashy and dry cigarette flavor, this is the closest one I've tried.
http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/966114/Paronin%20H.N.K.%20%28Baron%27s%20W.N.P.%29
I really want to go ahead and buy the missing flavs to mix this but I've been burned so many times chasing analog cig recipes. So, does this one have any hints of anise? Also, does it in any way resemble the flavor profile of TFA Cubano or FA Perique Black?
I didn't detect any hints of anise when I tried this mix. Haven't tried FA Perique Black, but this recipe doesn't resemble TPA Cubano at all; for me Cubano tastes like leathery and sandy cigar leaf, whereas Paronin H.N.K. is very smokey, ashy and dry cigarette-like tobacco. The tobacco note is kinda similar as in Wayne's Marble 27, though it lacks any kind of sweetness and creamy nuttiness, and is way more ashy and "grim".
A real Neapolitan ice cream
Try my Banana Split recipe out, but just take out the banana. I'm sure that will be as close as you can get (from me at least).
Will be ordering the double chocolate. I have tried Inawera milk chocolate, FA chocolate and Hangsen Australian chocolate and combinations of all of them. I've gotten close but it's so easy to ruin the balance of the 3 flavors. Thanks for the suggestion.
NP, I see the White Chocolate come up a lot, I haven't personally used it, but it's also white chocolate so probably not what you want. I don't use double chocolate a lot, but it's now my go-to unless I want minty chocolate. But it's definitely a good one.
I've tried FA Chocolate and FA Cocoa, but I'm afraid to use them because of the reports of burnt taste at higher wattage.
POG. 14 versions in. Close, but no cigar.
Edit: CAP Gingerbread + CAP Sugar Cookie is pretty decent.
CAP Gingerbread is missing a "darkness" that gingerbread needs. It needs like some brown sugar or molasses flavor in there.
Interesting in working with three collaborators? /u/wickandwire and /u/philosaphucker and I have also been fighting with this one.
I think I compared notes with one of you on ~~reddit~~ Facebook a month or two ago. I have no idea which it was though, lol. And yes, I am.
i've been chasing the same dragon. can't get it to work so far. so far i've settled with FA Passion Fruit, CAP Sweet Guava but still on the hunt for a good orange. would love to see your progress so far with this. best of luck
It's a right pain. CAP Juicy Orange+CAP Sweet Tangerine seems to hold the orange flavor well, but it's thin and you sort of miss that thick nectar type feel wof fresh OJ. I'm still on the fence with FA and CAP Passionfruit. FA is nice, but thin again and a bit more throat hit than I'd like. CAP Passionfruit is decent, has the nectar, but not much passionfruit flavor. CAP Sweet Guava does okay in this, but it's a bully and gets weird when you go high enough for it to compete/mesh with the others.
i feel that CAP passion fruit is what we should go for here. because the drink itself has the orange and guava more predominant and the passionfruit gives more of a zing and body. for the guava part, i don't have FA Guava but did you try it? it might work as a support for the CAP sweet guava
Anything chocolate. I have found very few chocolate vapes that replicate the taste of good quality chocolate.
I've heard people have decent luck with HS Australian Chocolate + a supporting chocolate. Haven't tried it personally, but Cheeba might be able to offer better deets than myself.
Blueberries and cream like a blueberry lifesaver cream candy. Most blueberries don't play very well with creams.
2-4% HS Blueberry.
.5 - 1% FLV Blueberry.
& your choice of creams, mate. Thank me later.
It's been forever since I've had those & goddamn do those lifesavers sound pretty good right about now.
Right? They're yummy. I actually just got HS BB in a bit ago and as soon as I tasted it on the back of my hand and gave it a smell, it reminded me of blue raspberry. I'll have to give it a go with some creams. Thanks!
I'm really loving flavor west blueberry right now I've had 4 of the others blueberry extra, blueberry wild, bilberry , blueberry candy but flavor west is exactly what I was looking for almost sure this is what the Schwartz uses
Two things, and Trader Joes is to blame for both of them:
Cookie Butter and Mango!Mango! Gummies.
Also POG, but some great minds are helping with that and we'll have that puzzle solved soon.
I've struggled with a peanut butter + jelly that doesn't steep into a muddled mess. I guess the "jelly" part in particular is a tough one because it always comes out dry or just lacking in gooeyness.
Have you tried this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/3h9vvq/flavor_of_the_week_grape/cu5kpef/
I didn't think I was a huge grape fan until I tried INW Grapes. I don't have the TFA Grape Juice, but from what I've tried, that might be what I'm missing. Would you say it actually brings a "jelly" aspect to the mix?
Right. So, I've made a run at making a PB & Grape J sandwich using INW Grapes. PB & Homemade(!) Grape Jelly sandwiches are what I grew up on. It needs work and I got distracted and will have to revisit it later.
But that recipe I linked to is a terrific PB & Strawberry J. You don't taste any Grape, but the TFA Grape Juice really makes the Strawberry taste like Strawberry Jelly. Oh, and ignore what that OP says about lowering the PB. The 5% PB is good. If anything I would lower the AP or replace it with Biscuit.
Chocolate Chip Cookies. Been almost two years now and still not even close. I know its possible too, which makes it more frustrating.
FLV Cookie Dough, but that's on my next fucking huge ass wholesale order.
Nope. It's bad.
When you say you knows it's possible is that because you've had a retail juice that nailed it? If so could you share the name? I've bought a few looking for inspiration and they've all been a disappointment
yeah, this company Artemis(?) the juice called Da Vinci...it was exactly like a warm home baked chocolate chip cookie it blew my mind.
Chocolate
Fuck me if it doesn't taste like a powdery mess. I just think I can't vape it.
Prune/Raisin/Fermented Plum
I'd love a really juicy prune/raisin flavor at low power I think. Maybe something with a fermented plum would be good too. I've successfully used raisin flavoring in a couple recipes, but it's not useful in the foreground.
Which raisin did you use? I tried TFA raisin 1% and it tastes like bubble gum kinda or some other candy.
Just TPA. I haven't had a chance to try any other raisins. It just tastes bad, almost vile, to me above 1%. I found it useful at <=1% with TPA Hibiscus & Honeysuckle , FA Forest Berry, and other berries (Boysenberry, Blackberry both TPA). I have tried it with some stone fruits as well, but nothing to write home about.
Have you tried Inawera's watermelon? It's the closest I've vaped to a real watermelon flavor by far. I also agree with the poster who said Flavorah Wild melon is good. However, it has other flavors in there besides watermelon. Gingerbread cookie wise... I've heard Capella's is the best but I have not tried it myself. (I just ordered One on One's though)
My white whale is strawberry jam.
Inb4 cap sweet strawberry, jf sweet strawberry, ask your strawberries I have them.
At this point I'm playing with cap ss and fa strawberry with varying ratios of fa amber. Honestly don't think I need any more sweet taste but I can't fucking nail the jam flavor I want.
I have a watermelon from TFA and their watermelon candy. Tried mixing those two with the candy flavor on top (7% candy 5% watermelon) and it tasted too much like the candy one.
Then I reversed it and it tasted really good like biting into a nice ruby red piece of watermelon but I was stupid and added a drop of TFA flavor mask idk why and it just fucken ruined it and it tasted like ass.
any melon. they taste very much like bleach. that chemical smell when you dye your hair.
Try the mega melons clone by cut wood. It's pretty simple. Cantaloupe, papaya, and honeydew or something like that. It's super good.
it is, cantlaoupe, papaya, mango. I add a bit of sweet cream too.
I accidently swapped cantaloupe with honeydew once... completely different juice :)
Snake Oil.
I have yet to find a recipe even half as good.
Have you tried /u/ID10-T's Snake Oil My Way?
For real. I think it's an IMPROVEMENT on Snake Oil, even though it still has some room for improvement itself. There's another one by DuderMcCuder on ATF that looks like it might be tastier than Snake Oil as well, and possibly tastier than My Way. But whereas mine actually resembles Snake Oil (but improved, IMO), Duder would need to get some TFA Coconut or TFA Coconut Extra (in a small amount) be closer to Seduce Juice's actual Snake Oil, which I swear is just three ingredients, a wonderfully balanced blend of lots of TFA Bavarian and some TFA Pear and TFA Coconut Extra.
Ooh, I haven't, thanks for drawing it to my attention. That's interesting that he's using two pears and two coconuts.
That said, I feel like there's more to Seduce's cream base than just Bavarian cream, but I dunno. (And this isn't me disparaging anyone's recipe, it's just a thought.)
I want to see some development in teas. I'll probably make a post about it sometime but like Oolong, jasmine, Earl Grey are teas I love to drink and I've been looking for some solid recipes as a foundation for me to use. Or variations of teas like green, white, and lemongrass. Now that'll be sweet but I can't seem to find anything that really nails it.
