Help with choosing VG
submitted almost 9 years ago by disappea

Hey Everyone,

First of all I'd like to thank everyone in this wonderful subreddit. I've been lurking for a long time just reading and reading, trying to make up my mind to finally decide to start DIY. I live in Turkey where everything vape related is banned so it is a PITA to get supplies. I started DIY last month and ordered myself supplies, mixed my batches, everything is groovy.

Today I found out that probably the only high quality VG supplier to Turkey for some reason stopped supplying VG. I found another VG from the same company but there is tiny amounts of difference between the VGs so I was wondering if anyone could help me if the one I found is safe for vaping purposes?

The one I used to get, no longer available: http://www.merckmillipore.com/TR/tr/product/Glycerol,MDA_CHEM-137028

The one I can get now: http://www.merckmillipore.com/TR/tr/product/Glycerol,MDA_CHEM-104093

I would really like your opinions whether it would be safe or not before I jump the gun and place an order before that one goes out of stock too.

thanks!

They are both USP grade glycerol so should be fine.

Seems to have same formula c3h8o3 (hill formula) as the wizardlabs VG. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can come and give a definitive answer though.
