Has anyone tried TFA: (Dulce De Leche Caramel) or (DX Graham Cracker)?
If so how are they? Specifically is DX Graham worth a shot (for tobaccos)?
I have seen them for a while but have not picked either up bc I thought they could be butyric acid variants. Searches yield limited results. Upon closer inspection of TFAs MSDS they do not seem to contain BA. I think they recently released the msds for that one not sure though (irrelevant)
New to DIY as of this week and I've got 2/3 of the recipes I was hoping to have(Lemonade, Fruit Loops), but I can't quite get a "Graham Cracker Tobacco". My flavors are:

Fruit Circles with Milk (TPA)

I've tried:
Cheesecake (Graham Crust) (TPA), 5.01%
Graham Cracker Clear (TPA), 2.50%
Marshmallow (FA), 2.50%,
RY4 Double (TPA), 6.00%
Tried 5 combinations of those ingredients so far, mostly lowering the ingredients. Also tried just the RY4 and GCC on their own, but I still have a sort of bacony taste, and not enough graham cracker for what I'm going for. Any advice appreciated >
Alright man the reason I started diy was to clone or emulate my favorite brands recipes. Those were Graham crscker tobacco and cancelled and no one really knows exactly how they did it with AVE bobas bounty or Seduce juices jango or seems to have a. Really good clone that I know of

That being said: maybe checking out my submitted post history and find "guide to buying random Flavors and making recipes" or something to that extent. Start with 2 flavors and fine tune them.
In this case your ry4 double and graham cracker tobacco are the starting points. I don't really like ry4 double so I've never tried to make this exact combo.
I'd say start at like:
- 0.5-1% Ry4 double
- 2-3% graham cracker clear (GCC)
And go from there. Drop all the other stuff, if you're getting a weird a taste That's generally indicative of too much of a concentrate, or similar constituents of multiple concentrates are acting weird together.
Next step would be to add like 0.1% acetyl Pyrazine5% solution to try to get it more toasted I think you have some from your cereal ventures.
If you don't have AP5 then the next step would be to raise the GCC or replace with Cheesecake Graham Crust (CGC) @ same % of GCC in the recipe above

You may need more flavors ultimately depending what you want exactly. I have a guide for tobacco flavors and am about to review some other Graham crscker flavors. CAPs v1 tastes great but has caramel food coloring in it soo won't be ordering more of that.

Nice guide, just finished reading it. I tried ry4 and graham together on their own (yesterday at 3.3% / 2.5%, and still bacony a bit. Tried graham on its own at 2.5%, and it had like an "incense" taste/smell or something to it.
Unfortunately didn't get any AP5, ended up getting meringue instead
I suppose I should try lowering the ry4 significantly (its a 3.3% from most recent test) and swapping out graham for 2.5% cheesecake w/graham. I'll try that and let you know how it goes
Yea the ry4 double contains maltol which can mute other flavors, or just taste weird to some.
Def try lowering the ry4 double and giving it some time as well.

I've bought 2 different bases so far:
- E-Liquid France Base - 70%PG / 30%VG (100ml) - nic: 6 mg/ml
- Insane Tm INSANE BASE ( 60VG / 40PG ) nic: 6MG
For my first tries I bought them all together so I just needed to add the flavoring and be done with it. Truth be that even vaping the base itself is pretty harsh for the throat (sharp scratchy feeling) so I guess it is either the amount if nictine or the quality of it (or both).

I know a few people who mix massive quantities, about 50 litres a week. And theyre all strongly against buying premixed pg/vg though I never thought to ask why.
Is the second base the same size? In that case you're getting a 55 pg /45 vg base. What kind of device do you use? Because 55 pg/ 45vg can be quite harsh in devices other than starting pen kits.
And yes, just buy the vg, pg and nic separate. You're gonna be happy you did once you start mixing :)
I haven't mixed the two bases, I only have taken one base and added flavourings.
My device is a KBox 70 with a Kanger Subtank nano using 0.5 ohm coils.
So if I want to have big clouds, and no harshness, how high would my vg percentage need to be?

Which base have you tried? For a subohm it's usually recommended to go 70vg or higher. I personally like max vg because it's a smoother vape, but I pretty much only drip. 70-80vg should be fine in a tank and not give you any harshness. 6mg nic for a subohm sound harsh to me as well, but some people don't think so. Also, you'll bring up your amount of pg in the mix whith the flavoring.

I live in Turkey where everything vape related is banned so it is a PITA to get supplies. I started DIY last month and ordered myself supplies, mixed my batches, everything is groovy.
Today I found out that probably the only high quality VG supplier to Turkey for some reason stopped supplying VG. I found another VG from the same company but there is tiny amounts of difference between the VGs so I was wondering if anyone could help me if the one I found is safe for vaping purposes?

I'm from the UK and really unsure where to buy Nicotine Base from.
Darkstar is popular and is good nicotine. However their flavour offering is pretty poor so not a very good one stop shop. Try vapable.com. Their Nic is just fine and likely the same as Darkstars (most of the UK nic comes from the same place in Switzerland), though I have never had any issues so never looked in to it too much. Vapable.com is a great place to get started for a beginner as they carry everything you need and a very wide range of flavours.
Will prop 56 affect DIY.
PA passed a similar tax. No issues here. Much like the FDA regs, the only thing it could possibly effect is nicotine base. Flavoring, PG, and VG are not solely e-cig products
Should note that EcigExpress has stopped selling Nicotine base to PA.
But not a great loss anyways.
Haven't started mixing yet, but am really looking into it. I have a bunch of recipes in excel sheets that I want to try, so I'll probably make an order with the next paycheck.
Question is: I found this on Mitten Vapors Website. It seems to be a good deal and has all I need for the base. So is it perfect for a beginner? And if I understand correctly, if I'm ~~weighing~~ mixing by weight, basically I'd drop in my flavors and their respective ~~flavors~~ percentages and then fill the rest of the bottle with this mix?

TFA VBIC substitute?
Greetings all. I'm wondering if there's a go-to substitute for TFA VBIC. I'm very interested in many recipes that contain this flavor, but I cannot stand it. I don't think I get the peppery taste that others describe, but this flavor overpowers everything I've ever tried it in, and it just does not taste like vanilla cream to me at all.
Is there a replacement flavor or flavor combo that will get me what other people taste in this flavor?

Can someone please advise me on the different ginger options? I'm looking for a natural tasting ginger. One that is earthy, pungent, hot on the tongue and spicy. When I look at options for ginger flavours, I see ginger cookies galore, but I'm not sure that's what I'm looking for. I'm wanting to craft a recipe that is a lemonade using lemon sicily and meringue as a sweetener (but only a hint of sweetener, a good lemonade isn't sweet in my books) but with ginger tones throughout. Aside: If you haven't had a strong lemonade with fresh ginger in it then you haven't lived yet! I just laid down $150 on supplies for my first order, and don't want to repeat that next month with my second order, so I was hoping that someone could advise me as to one or two ginger flavours to test with that might fit the bill. (Is this even the right thread to ask this question? I don't know for sure but couldn't find another thread to use.)
Props to finding the thread, things are a bit "different" here today. While I don't have a lot of experience with ginger, I can point you in a couple directions and wish you luck!
Here is a FOTW thread from a week or so ago dealing with spices, I recall ginger being brought up there a few times, and there are some users in there that have some experience. I'm sure if you asked someone, they would still reply. Que and Cheeba seem to have a lot of experience with spices.

I'm also going to shamelessly recommend FA Torrone. It's not a full on ginger flavor, but to me, it does have a "ginger root" type of nuance buried in the depths of its overall profile.

My problem is that (after a week of steeping) I am primarily tasting the Espresso and the Custard, and there is a lot of bitterness on the exhale from these flavours. It is also quite dry and a touch thin in the mouth feel.
I'm going to order FA Hazelnut and I think this will add the fullness and round out the creams in the mix, but will it add sweetness or should I add sweetener?
Also there is the possibility that something could be out of whack with the recipe seeing as its my first.. so if you could pipe in any changes/additions or what have you I'd be glad to hear.

If you still have trouble with this recipe after the advice given here, which is all fantastic advice.
You can also try breaking the recipe out into large components and work on them individually. Since right now it's not working great, I'm going to try my best to put the flavorings into the sections where I feel they might go. Notice that some ingredients might funnel into both sides.

It seems like the Coffee maybe has the wrong creams backing it up, or too much cream backing it up. So I rolled it over to the cookies, which I don't think really needs the cream. Plus that meringue seems to me to be unnecessary. Or either the Vienna ceram or the fresh cream, both of those do almost the same thing. I dunno. Here's my take with the same ingredients.

An important thing is that this lets you mix and test the sections separately so you can tweak sections of the recipe in a vacuum. Get the cookies perfect, get the coffee perfect. Put them together. Possibly a few more tweaks and done.
Great write up Kudos! Yes I read more and more and even wayne from DiyorDie can't stress enough about testing flavors/recipes and taking notes. I find that reading reviews of the flavors and asking questions is key to successful mixing. Even if you was to make sample size single flavors vape at your preferred % and take notes on what you experience from it.
1.What are you picking up on just smelling it out of the bottle. 2.On inhale is it sweet or tart sour or bitter so on and so on 3. Is it a traditional flavor or candied version 4 smooth or harsh as %'s increase/decrease 5 exhale what do you get from it, does flavor stay consistent or does it change 6 days or weekly steeps what does your mix do as it ages
these are just a few things you can do to refine your mixing and also with the note taking you can grasp a better feel on what works n doesnt, this can lead to massive saving and time not wasted on altering your blends.
First of all you need a clear goal, I see a bunch of random flavors tossed together into a muddled mess. The first three flavors are pulling in different directions, add meringue and cream to that and it doesn't even sound appealing. Adding even more flavors to this won't help until you've removed some and found a balance between them.
So, try your flavors solo and get a feel for them. Then when you imagine a profile, you'll know even before trying if they will fit together or what other flavors would work better. At this point you try to find a balance between just a few of them, two, no more than three, and you don't proceed past this point until you're satisfied. Then you can consider adding more flavors.
With a bunch of experience you can attempt this many flavors off the bat, because you already know in your head roughly how it will turn out. But even with years of experience it may be a disaster, so it's always best to start with what you know, then slowly build on that, one flavor or tweak at a time.
Essentially what I was going for was a take on Coffee and Donuts, but with cookies instead. I used HiC's flavour notes to get an idea of where I wanted to go.
According to HiC adding FA Custard to FA Cookie makes a rich cookie flavour. The fresh cream, and vienna cream are the cream for the coffee.
The meringue I added for sweetness.
Edit: I see what you are saying though, I should have made a good cookie flavor for example then added the coffee aspect.
Gotcha and your edit is exactly right. First find a balance between Custard and Cookie. I've never shot for this profile, but 2-3% Cookie to 1% Custard would be more even in terms of relative strength. Then either finish the cookie profile with sweet and cream and try to fit the coffee in last, or try the coffee first and add sweet and cream last. Both ways have their drawbacks and this is assuming you only have these flavors to work with.
I'd consider CAP Sugar Cookie, INW Biscuit, TFA Graham Cracker, TFA Pie Crust and FA Apple Pie for example, depending on what type of cookie you want, with TFA Brown Sugar or FA Caramel to sweeten it and CAP Golden Butter, CAP Vanilla Custard or TFA French Vanilla for the buttery notes and mouthfeel. EDIT: And some vanilla to brighten the cookie up, gotta have some vanilla in there ;)
I love FA, such great flavors, but rarely does any brand stand well on its own in a recipe without some support from other brands.
I feel you exactly at this low concentrates, to me would be a muted flavor almost vaping pg/vg nic solely with a hint of something.
You received a ton of great advice. I would recommend making all the variations from this article on a cookie Base. This way you can find your perfect cookie and learn more about how the flavors play together at different %. From it my perfect chewy cookie base is
- 1% Cookie (Biscotto) (FA)
- 0.75% Hazelnut (FW)
- 1% Meringue (FA)
- 3% Sugar Cookie (CAP)
- .75% Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP)
- 1.25% Vienna Cream (FA)
Awesome, I think that your base is exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to mess around with a ton of variations, guess I need to order some more bottles too.
you need to get a balance of flavoring. A good base solid foundation, main profile flavor or main note, along with a mid note. Something that ties your cookies and cream together that brings a smooth transition between the notes. a top note like the icing on the cake to complete the whole recipe. For me a cookie and coffee recipe those 2 would stand out as your main notes and creams and custard as a smoothness throughout. Its all about the layering and what makes sense. I would try higher percent of the cookie and espresso and build off that. For some reason the custard is throwing me a bit, not sure if its just me tho. I would probably add marshmallow but that's just me.
I would try this:
FA Cookie 3-4%
CAP Sugar cookie 2.5-3%
FA Espresso .75%
FA Vienna Cream 3%
FA Fresh Cream 1.5%
FA Meringue .5%
TFA Toasted Marshmallow 1%
Ok the FA cookie and CAP Sugar cookie to combine and make a great cookie all day 4-6% based off reviews %'s read.
FA Espresso (dark bean) noted very powerful used mostly at 1% or less from read reviews this is the coffee needed to dunk your cookie in.
FA Vienna Cream paired with Fresh cream to add that milky creamy smooth creaminess needed
FA Meringue paired with toasted marshmallow Meringue has notes of a marshmallow adding the toasted to it to give ti that campfire burnt flavor to top it off.
This should have that sugary sweet smooth taste to dunk into that nice cup of java!
Here Making the cookie flavorful with a strong cream base to make the espresso more subtle but not muted,to much espresso and that is all you'll taste. The fresh cream is there to contribute to the Vienna cream to make it a more compound cream. the meringue and toasted marshmallow should pair for the sweet and char taste I think it needs to compliment the rest of the recipe.
I am going to go out on a limb and say the custard is where your getting the bitter from. FA Custard reviews very lemony citrus flavor and work better between 4-6% to get the smoothness from it.
I think you need to get this around at least 10% flavoring. You may be getting a deceptive flavor from the vg/pg since your overall flavoring % is low
I would say steeping this 7-10 days so the flavors balance out and bind to make a delicious treat.

Is there a preferred brand or vendor for the best nicotine? I'm contemplating both Nude Nicotine and Carolina Extracts nicotine.
I've had good luck with www.bulkapothecary.com for VG and PG. Excellent product and really cheap, even after shipping, it's slightly lower than most others I've found.
Nicotine for me has always been Carolina Extracts. Nude has some mixed reviews as far as incorrect strengths and shitty customer service. Other vendors I've read about have problems with harsh, peppery, pink, brown, and/or incorrect strengths, leaky bottles, late/missing packages, etc. Type "nicotine" into the search bar and you'll see numerous threads of people complaining about numerous vendors. You can make an informed decision from there, but I don't want to see you posting here in 2 weeks saying Nude Nicotine still hasn't responded to your package inquiry emails or they sent you a shit product. I would honestly just pay a little more and go with Carolina Extracts, and be happy with their speedy delivery and quality product. Their extraction process is 2nd to none. Make sure you get your nic in PG base, it's much easier to work with. Coupon code "Dada1" should get you a discount at checkout, I forget how much.

Hey I'd like to ask why you suggested the nic in a pg base? I'm kind of not liking this throat hit I'm getting. Most of the juice vendors I use seem to be using nic in a vg base.
It's far less prone to "hot spots" and is generally much easier to work with. What was the exact recipe you used, weights/% for flavorings, VG, PG, and nic? Also, have you tried the exact recipe without nic to see if that is the culprit? How recently was this mixed? Generally a 24-48 hour steep should rid most harshness that flavorings tend to put out.
I am curious as to what exactly your recipe was and what weights you put in. Probably a dumb question, but did you shake everything well?

2% White Chocolate - FW
However, my vendor didn't have them all on stock, so I ended up with CAP Vanilla Cupcake v2, TPA White Chocolate, and the required TPA Strawberry Ripe.
Since I don't know the flavors and so far only copied recipes, can I transfer the %?, like:
10% Vanilla Cupcake - CAP
8% Strawberry (Ripe) - TPA
2% White Chocolate - TPA
If not, has anyone suggesstions for adjustments?
from what I understand most version 2's require longer steep times and patience is key. you could try smaller batches one with same recipe and one at 1/2 the % version2 and see which on stands out or do you need to bump it. try shake n vape and then vape them after 1 week 2 week ect.. hope this makes sense and good luck on your venture.
So I bought a starter kit from Liquid Barn and got my 10 Flavors, and I'm starting with some very very basic stuff. I'm using 10% flavoring(70/30 is my preferred ratio FWIW) ordered the following Flavors:
- Cherry Blossom Tea.
- Strawberry.
- Cola Freeze.
- Dew Mountain.
- Pacific Cooler.
- Menthol(flavor enhancer).
- Sweetener(flavor enhancer).
- Strawberry Cheesecake.
- Honeydew Melon.
- Rainbow Sherbert.
I just got my kit today, and I brewed up 3 different flavors(Cola, Dew Mountain, and Pacific Cooler). What are the standard steep times for these Flavors? And where can I find recipes that might utilize these Flavors without needing to order more Flavors from various other shops? Does anyone just use baseline Flavors or is a recipe the preferred practice? When should I use sweetener or menthol(I tend to like menthol cigarette flavoring, though I'm a non-smoker now) and what Flavors should I be using in combination with the menthol and sweetener enhancers?

I could be wrong but I think I remember reading that those are VG based flavors and therefore might need a slightly longer steep time than others. But surely no longer than a week or at the most two. Not many people use Liquid Barn flavors at all, so you're unlikely to find very many all-LB recipes, but some are out there. If you test those baseline flavors individually, you might get some idea of recipes you might like to make yourself (like, hmmm, this Dew Mountain tastes pretty good at 10%, but I bet it would be even better with a little bit of that Honeydew Melon added, maybe like 5%). Similarly, I'd taste small batches of the flavors first without sweetener or menthol first to determine whether I wanted to add those in there or not.

For your first question, while I do not have experience with those flavors specifically, sodas/drink like vapes take a few days (3 or so) to a week to really come together for me. Because LB uses VG for their flavoring I would say a week minimum steep.
In regards to the second question, as far as I am aware there are not many recipes that use purely LB flavorings. Your best bet might be to search ATF or ELR for Liquid Barn, specifically in the flavor sections of each of those sites. Unfortunately to make most recipes exactly the same you will need to order more flavorings from different vendors (Or somewhere like BullCityFlavor that has multiple popular vendors in one place).
Third question - single flavor mixes are definitely a thing, it just depends on how that flavor tastes to you and if it needs any tweaking/boosts from other flavors. There are many mixers who will just do single flavor mixes for ease of use, and there is nothing wrong with that. There are also people who dive down the rabbit hole and make recipes with 12 flavors trying to nail down a certain profile.
Finally, menthol and sweetener can be put in damn near any mix as far as I'm aware, because they are flavor additives and not flavorings themselves. I.e., menthol will make any recipe feel cool/have a mint feel and sweetener will make any recipe taste like it has sugar dumped in it. Using these flavors perfectly is up to personal preference and the specific mix. In your case, if you're okay with the mint taste menthol will add, throw a small bit (1% or less. 1% if you want that stuff icy) into each of your mixes to add a cool feel since they are supposed to be a drink. Sweetener can mute mixes and muddle flavors if too much is used, but again around 1% or less will add a sugary taste to the vape. Sweetener, especially surcolose, is what is responsible for that 'sugar lips' feel as well - literally feeling like there is sugar on your lips after vaping. If you feel that the mixes you make need to be a bit sweeter in a sugary way, throw it in at low percentages to get that boost.

I made a Simple Strawberry and cream looking for advice.
70/30 vg/pg 6mg nic
Tested on Wismec 75rx @40w
5% TFA Strawberry-Ripe
3% FW Bavarian Cream
2% TFA Graham Cracker Clear
On the inhale I am getting the graham cracker with a vanilla creaminess and just a hint of the strawberry ripe.
My question is I would of thought the Strawberry would be the star at first and not the cream. Will the strawberry come thru more after steeping a week and will the cream tone down to balance with the graham cracker
Was it steeped?
The strawberry will reach its peak after a couple of days. TFA Strawberry Ripe is fairly weak on its own and increasing the percentage won't do much. I like to boost it a bit with CAP Sweet Strawberry.
The pungent parts of the other two flavors will mellow down after about a week and become more rich and dense. If this overpowers the strawberry, just dial it down a notch.

Okay, give it a few more days to balance out. As the cream develops the strawberry may become more prominent. It can definitely be vaper's tongue too, try to avoid strawberry for a few days before your next test.
Hot bath and/or breathing will make the strawberry even weaker, so that would be counterproductive. After the initial shake it's best to just let it sit, then shake it up again just before you're ready to test it.

I know there is a strong aversion to sweetener here but I've tried all the top-rated recipes and realized sucralose is a lot more important than I thought. I feel I need sweetener just as much as I need nicotine :/

Try adding 1% TFA Sweetener as a starting place in a smaller batch and increase (or decrease, you might find 0.5% to be enough) in future batches if you feel the need to. EM is not really a sweetener. Used properly it might enhance the sweetness of already sweet concentrates, but it will also mute flavors.

You don't need sucralose. Give it 10 days without vaping and/or eating sucralose and you'll taste things differently. You grow new taste buds every 10 days & therefore your sense of taste changes every 10 days. The recipe calls for zero sweetener because it doesn't need any sweetener (BTW FW Yellow Cake is literally 30% fructose syrup by weight, get some JF Yelow Cake instead)

Which PG/VG ratio are you planning to make your juice, what nicotine strength do you want your final juice to be, what nicotine strength are you planning to buy, and how much juice are you planning to make? All of that plays a role in deciding how much of which to get.
You will probably want some different-sized bottles, smaller for testing out single flavors, larger for recipes.
Before you get all those syringes, make sure you have educated yourself on the pros and cons of mixing by weight vs. mixing by volume.

After reading the entire article, I decided to go ahead and purchase a scale instead of syringes/pipettes/etc. It does seem a little bit easier and mess free, thanks!
I plan on making 10 mL bottles to give to friends, so maybe I'll add a bit of smaller sizes to the list.
Also, I plan on (usually) making 50/50 ratio's with up to 36 mg/ml (in a bottle). My question is why should I buy 100 mg/ml over 48 mg/ml over 24 mg/ml? Is that the max it could be? I'm a bit confused on the options for this and why. Why doesn't everyone just get the 100mg/ml?
For the amount we're making, we plan on making ~40-50 10-mL bottles per week. Maybe starting off, significantly less, but that's our end goal. I'm just looking for a starting off volume. I can figure out how much I need based initial numbers once the weeks go by.
There's no reason not to buy a gallon each of PG and VG.
Some people prefer lower concentrated nicotine because it's safer to work with and not as terrible a mistake if your measurement is off a little and some prefer it because it doesn't oxidize as quickly. Most do get the 100mg option, though. That's one reason why you might not want to get a liter of nicotine. You don't want to get so much that it goes bad before you can use it all up. But with good storage practices as /u/bobbysavage mentioned, you can preserve it.

I have experience making coils for certain builds, so I can easily get one and get started with that. What is the advantage of RDAs over simple 510/306 dripping atomizers? If I do get an RDA, should I make a new coil for each flavor I'm testing?

IDK how much you pay for carts but I have 20-25$ congrevape doge v2 and v3 rdas that have lasted years.
I can also change out wicks in like 2 minutes flat if I am just changing flavors. You don't have to change coils for flavors, however it is convenient to be able to change the wicks so quickly/frequently for beta testing flavors/recipes.
I try to change my coils everyday, something bout health, oxides, etc.... im really tired maybe I can find that tomorrow..

Is there much of a difference between using cap super sweet and regular sucralose. I know cap is a 20% dilution and usually sucralose is a 10% dilution. Cap also has citric acid and a few other things.

PG based nicotine is much easier to work with. The strength is a matter of comfort and safety as it's toxic, especially to children and pets. Check out "All about nicotine" in the sidebar.
Have been wondering... Can I mix up a base recipe of VG/PG and nicotine to the strengths I like, say, a large amount, and keep it in a bottle and draw out the amount needed every time I want to make a mix and just add my flavours to the drawn mix? I'm not sure if that made any sense. It's 2:30 a.m. and I've been wondering about this for a while now. My supplies are coming in at the end of this week (maybe the beginning of next week) and I'd love to have this base of VG/PG and nicotine all mixed up to make mixing go faster/more streamlined. Does my question even make sense? When I was soapmaking, I used to do this with all my oils. It's quite common in soapmaking. You make a large batch of oils and draw out the amount needed (after stirring) and add your lye to that batch of oils. It is called superbatching. So I wondered if I could do it in mixing my mixes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sure, in fact most vendors sell base in various combinations of PG, VG and nicotine. The downside is that you'll alter the PG/VG ratio and reduce the strength of the nicotine when you add in concentrates.
Personally I don't care about PG/VG ratio that much, so I premix that to 30/70. If I end up with 40/60 in the final mix, that's fine by me. Nicotine however is another matter. Even a small reduction can be noticeable, so I prefer to add that separately.

What's a simple two flavor recipe I can use it in. I got TFA Sweetner and added it to like 4 of my favorite recipes and it's been like magic, just BOOOM instant 11. I don't plan on using it on juices like my Cherry Cobbler where it's so rich, but on Fruit Juices or Candies or things like that.

I really like the way that /u/Enyawreklaw puts it, which is that EM brings out the inherent sweetness in flavors rather than adding sugary sweetness to the recipe. So adding it to fruits brings out the 'natural' sweetness in the fruit, but it can also mute some flavors. I also like to use EM to help blend flavors together a bit, so as an emulsifier.
Okay so, Let's say....
- FE Lemon 2.5%
- INW Cactus 0.8%
- Ethyl Maltol 1%
Is that reasonable?
I have not worked with FE Lemon so I don't know how strong it is, but 1% EM should not mute if it is a stronger flavor. If its on the weaker side, I might drop the EM to 0.75% or 0.5%. INW Cactus is a great flavor for wetness, but the flavor itself is definitely weak - so if you were going for any of that at all it will likely be muted.
Only way to know for sure is to mix it up but it does not seem like anything should clash too badly there.
TFA Sweetener has EM in it. It's half EM half Sucralose. Its the best and most vivid "flavor enhancer" out there. Using just EM, will bring about a very subtle difference like what /u/wafflepriest1 said, inherently. I like to use EM specifically in lemon mixes exactly, because it turns that sharp lemon into a bit softer, more "candy" lemon. It's subtle, again, but there's a difference. If you were to use the TFA Sweetener in that lemon mix instead of just EM, that Sucralose is going to actually do just the opposite and bring out that tartness a bit more, so you'll end up just cancelling out any properties and run the risk of muting. Think of EM as a "Candy-fier" and sucralose as just sugar.
You know....In august when I got surgery and was in the hospital recovering, my plan was this.
Just watch decent videos on youtube of how to mix ejuice and start mixing once I'm recovered. So surely enough the only consistently good quality videos I could find were these ones with nice well made thumbnails were DIYorDIE. I watched em all. Pretty much all within a week. Rewatched a couple. Made sure I got concepts understood, then I ordered my stuff. And started mixing.

EM is more of an additive than a sweetener. It's usage is limited: use the right amount in the right recipes and it can change the sweetness of certain flavors, but use too much or in the wrong place it tends to mute the flavor. Try searching for sweetener in this sub. There are a few really good posts on this topic
Just like /u/EdibleMalfunction said, it should be used only when needed and it can also be used in small percentages to round off flavors that have a slightly harsh kick. It's a great additive to have, but difficult to know when to use it and difficult to nail how much of it is needed.
I echo everything that has already been said but in terms of a good recipe to use to play with it. Try Fizzmustard's Mustard Milk. Two flavours, one of them sweet. Use EM at different levels to ascertain what it does to the strawberry. Lower levels will make it sweeter, higher levels will start to mute it. This is all assuming you are not one of the damned who can't taste strawberry flavours :-)
I've been trying to figure out substitutes for all those beloved CAP flavors. It seems that anything from CAP taste off to me (plastic-like). What are good substitutes for CAP's Sugar Cookie, Vanilla Custard, Cake Batter, NY Cheesecake, Vanilla Cupcakes?

Have you tried them stand alone at 5% or are you trying combinations of them?
I have a really muted pallet from 28 years of 20 a day smoking, but I don't get anything plastic like from any of those flavours. Like /u/EdibleMalfunction mentions, those are some of the best most widely used flavours out there. I think it would be really unusual for someone to have such an adverse effect to them. Not saying you don't, but you need to try and rule everything else out before you abandon them otherwise I'll shed a tear or two for you as well.
Start by mixing up 10ml of 5% of each flavour just in VG. Steep for two weeks, even those that shouldn't need that long. Then test them on a new coil.
The only negative I can say about any of those flavours mentioned is CAP NY Cheesecake mutes pretty much everything for me and makes any recipe "feel" like I am vaping Styrofoam. As that flavour is often mixed with other creams in recipes, I had to single flavour test every cream I have (20) to isolate the issue.

I'm using a fresh build every time (changing between claptons and twisted coils).
Steeping is my arch-nemesis but I let it steep min 2 weeks and then the flavor becomes almost a muted plastic taste.
I'm going to chuck it up to either my taste buds are shot or I got some bad batches. I will revisit them down the rode but for now I will stick with the other brands.
You could just use the FA or TFA or FLV or JF replacements for them.
They all have their differences, if you don't like the ones you bought then don't use them. You don't have to use what others are using just because that's what everyone else uses.
Before that, are you sure you're letting them steep for long enough? Are you sure you're mixing at reasonable percentages? Are you sure your vape is functioning and setup correctly?

Possibly try the V2s of them. They tend to fit in the mix better and are less overwhelming for recipes, but they have the same taste just with the mids taken out.

Yeah, I literally have no idea! I started vaping back in October last year to quit smoking and I've fallen in love.

I guess it differs from person to person. I made some mistakes in buying subpar flavors etc. If I would start again I would do it like this:
Buy basic ingredients: PG/VG from the seller of your choice, at least food grade. Nicotine PG base (I was very happy with HiLiq), and 2 flavors: Strawberry (TPA) and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA). A famous recipe around here is fizzmustards Mustard Milk: 8% VBIC and 6% Strawberry. Doesn't hurt if you buy too much strawberry as tons of recipes use them.
From there on keep enough basic ingredient supplies as you will burn through them most likely.
Afterwards I would look for 3-4 flavour juices, for example nana cream (strawberry, dragonfruit, banana cream). From there one build up your stock of flavors and try more complicated juices as you find your 2-3 daily vapes.
Oh, and your first order should have your basic equipment: gloves (and mask + glasses for nicotine higher than 50mg), 1, 5, 10 ml syringes (about 5 for 1ml, 5 for 5 ml, 3 for 10 ml), and tons of bottles (about 10 10ml, 20x30ml for starters, they are cheap).
Seriously ignore people saying to start with scales, and nicotine measuring devices etc. That can come later, first find what you like.

If you can't find any reference to it here or on ELR, chances are that it either isn't a good flavor or is unsafe for vaping. Since it's FW, I would exercise caution with that flavor

Generally, if you have to question whether or not you think it's safe to use something in a liquid that you'll be vaping, it's probably best to avoid it. Stick to what we know. Went to research that site, then came back here to post the same thing. You can find all the recommended flavor brand in Canada easily. I would not recommend buying flavors from a lesser known company, especially when you don't sound like you know much about this hobby yet

I know enough to keep myself safe, and if a flavour does not have any of the known nasties (diacetyl, sugar, etc) and is composed of natural, organic concentrates, then I'm on the right track. NF has just such a Ginger flavour, and that's what I'm after. A true ginger that the "recommended flavor brand" companies don't carry. I'm seeking a natural ginger, which is impossible to find in FA, CAP, TFA, FW, FLV, etc. All you can get is ginger breads and ginger candies - not a true ginger. So please don't tell me to stop with that shit. I'm doing nothing wrong. I'm asking a legitimate question. This is probably your best bet. Not 100% sure it works for Mac, but check it out. Definitely one of the most detailed calculators out there. Also, All The Flavors has the option to input costs for all of your ingredients, but it is a paid feature I believe.

I love the recipe/flavor management on it. Plus you can just autoimport all the flavors and star the ones you have. I just manually add my own though. I don't add specific gravities so I just stick with fixed gravity. Don't know how far off that screws up my recipes for people when I share them.

Is there any special procedure for disposing of a large amount of PG? I bought a gallon of the stuff from Essential Depot a couple months ago & just popped it open, everything I make with it is grossly bitter & damn near unvapeable. Dunno what happened to the PG to make it so disgusting but it's clearly off & I want to get rid of it properly.
What ratio are you vaping? PG is naturally bitter. If you are using too much it could be that.
70VG/30PG, same ratio I've used since I started DIY'ing about a year ago, and I'm making the same recipe that's been my ADV for the last 4 months. I mixed a 10ml with 1% distilled water in place of the PG & it tasted normal, that's how I figured out it was the new PG. Originally thought it might be a problem with one of my flavorings as some of them are getting a little old.

I'm still confused on nic vg and nic pg. I have both 100% vg and 100 pg respectively but it confuses me. Could someone break it down like eli5 style. What do most people commonly use and how does it effect the formula if I use one over the other. (Btw I prefer a smooth hit and dislike too much harshness)
I don't know what kind of concentration you have got your nic (how many mg/ml). When using nicotine you need to shake it a lot because otherwise you could get hotspots (meaning your pg or vg nicotine isn't the same everywhere in the bottle, leading you in bad surprises in your ejuice). If you are talking only about nicotine, then i would advise using pg because it's less viscous, it's easier to get an homogenous base and will spend less time shaking it before use. If your concentration is high enough you won't put a lot of it anyway, so envtho you want max vg juices, you should still be using pg nic base IMO.
I'm not sure if you're asking also what is pg/vg outside of nicotine, i'll let you answer first.

How do you test multiple version of a recipe ? (let's say 2 or 3)
Do you vape everything in the same setup one after the other or in parallel with multiple and/or identical setups ? Every rda/rdta/tank/etc restitute flavor differently, add to that different coils and wattages and i've got all i need to be drown in a sea of changing variables.
So i'm at a point that i feel if i don't use the same setup and alternating both recipes on the same setup i can't have a true way to compare. Any thought/advise ?
For multiple small variations of a recipe, I make 10 ml of each and go through them in the same tank with the same wick, taking notes as I go. At the end of the last one, I'll know which one I preferred, as long as I was paying attention while vaping. I would use an RDA for the convenience of it, except I get better flavor from my Aromamizers than any RDA I've tried. I know some will disagree on this.
For testing vastly different flavors and recipes, especially if they contain a flavor that tends to stick to the wick forever, I use an RDA and change the wick between each.
I use a dual setup when I try to clone something, as that's the only time I see a need to go back and forth to compare.

But now something is bothering me, you mentionned aromamizer ... i thought i got 2 good tanks(Herakles Plus and arctic v8) and rdta (Eagle and Limitless plus) for flavours. Have you compared your aromamizer with any of the 4 i mentionned ? How many of them do you have ? (carfull i might want to get one x-) )
What setup you prefer is highly subjective as it will depend largely on how you vape, what builds you use, wattage, etc. I don't have any of your tanks/RDAs, so I can't compare, but I'm sure they're just fine :) I stopped buying tanks and RDAs after I found something that fit my style perfectly, and just got several identical ones.
I tried this mix with VG/PG:70/30 with Nicotine:3, and I am having extreme irritation and throat hit vaping this. Which of these flavors is giving me this unwanted vaping experience? The juice has been steeped 3 months prior to vaping.

My first guess would be harsh nicotine, how did you store the juice and do you have any other mixes with the same batch of nic?
I steeped it in my closet that's a cool temperature for 3 months. Even i tried it without nicotine it still hurts my throat and that's not a normal throat hit sensation. It's more like irritation
Ah okay, it could be anything then, you'll just have to troubleshoot it. If you still have the ingredients, you should be able to make a small batch of each flavor, shake it up and vape it, and get the bad reaction right away. Try vaping just the PG/VG first to rule that out. First suspect flavor would be CAP Sweet Strawberry. I can't really help you beyond this point as it seems to be some individual sensitivity. Hope you figure it out!
How long did you let it steep. I find that if I don't let a juice steep for at least 4 days it rips up my throat.

Brand new mixer here, I'm going to be making my first batch on monday :).
I'm looking for guidance on choosing a recipes, I'm trying to reproduce a juice I've tasted recently that I loved. It's a very simple one on paper:
1 - Fruit (in this case, mango, I'm open to other options)
2 - A menthol hit.
3 - 60/40 vG/PG
Basically when you take the hit, you feel the menthol on the back of your throat, without tasting it (I hate the flavor of mint). I loved this effect, it was really refreshing.
I'm guessing there is more to it then just one fruit flavor, but if anyone has any recipes on hand that sounds similar, I would love a link.

What you're looking for is TFA Koolada, the cooling effect without any taste. Start at 1% and reduce or increase depending on how cool you want it.

Hi, no problem! And to answer what you wrote at the end, it can absolutely be as simple as just one fruit flavor. It just might get a bit boring. Combining two mangos can make it feel more authentic and adding other fruits etc can really bring it to life. But there's nothing wrong with just using one flavor for starters.
So with the days getting colder in Southern California (colder, not cold haha). I need to ditch the menthol/minty flavors.
There's two flavors that come to mind... The ever so niche Gambit and then a local company to me called Legion Legendary E-Liquid - Athens. The flavor description is "strawberry, nectarine, and honeysuckle" however to me it tastes like a very rich and heavy peaches and cream of some sort... But not really. I can't pin point it, but it's creamy.
There's several different recipes on Gambit out there, all using different flavors... So I am thinking of throwing that idea out the window...
I just don't know what to vape for these colder days, i'm literally out of ideas. I just want something heavy, it could be super creamy or mildly creamy... Hell, I am thinking of getting into a sweet/creamy tobacco... I want to even say Apple-Pie like Adam Bomb's Adam's Apple....? I should look for that recipe...
If anyone could help me out, that'd be awesome! I could also use a list of ingredients as well. Trying to make an order before Halloween on Bull City or maybe RTS.

I'm working on a spicy black tea flavor but it really dries my mouth out. Is there anything in this recipe that seems to stand out or that maybe i should add something like saline solution?

The rose I need to back off on (it's too flowery) so that'll change on the next batch. I had to add a few drops of 3 ingredients to tone the rose down so it's a bit more than 10 ml.
It's hard to read your recipe in this format, but it looks like you're using 20.5% total flavoring? That is way too high for FlavourArt concentrates. Cut it in half, personally I'd use a quarter of that at most.
You could try leaving the tobacco out, I tend to get a dry feeling from that.
I made a mix 3mg 82/18 with watermelon, double kiwi, strawberry ripe and sweetener. I made other stuff but each time, the hit is really strong (too strong) for my dripper. Why? I'm 100% sure that I don't invert my pg and vg and 100% sure that I don't screw my nic level ( 20mg, vg base and put 1.6 ml for 30ml). Why is the hit so strong?

You should list the exact % of each flavor. Personally dubkiwi is harsh to me. Tossed it out after I picked up FA Kiwi. Way more realistic.
All may not be lost tho, put that bottle in the back of the drawer for a week or so. It may just smooth out. I almost tossed a strawberry yogurt recently, as it didn't improve after 2 weeks. But 6 weeks later it's very nice.

I'm trying to really nail down a waffles and maple syrup taste. I have NF Organic Waffle and NF Organic Maple. I've tried low percents of one and both, high percents of one and both, letting all variations steep for 2 weeks, but still feel like it could be improved. I'm sticking around the 10%-15% range, and got closest at around 8% waffle, 6% maple syrup, but would just like some friendly advice. Thanks in advance!
Any alternatives for Capella v1 custard and TFA coconut extra? They have high concentrations of Dialectal which causes an irritation to my throat.

Edit: Now I recognized you from the other post and I honestly doubt this is your issue. While diacetyl is a known irritant, I've never heard anyone complain of extreme irritation and throat hit from it. The main concern is long term health effects and something you should read up on, but I think your problem is unrelated.

As I get closer to receiving my first order of flavourings, PG/VG, syringes, etc., I'm left wondering one basic question. How do I best go about doing my flavour tests? I was thinking that I would do three strengths tests of each flavour, each with the same amount of nicotine that I will be vaping at (because the nicotine will surely impart it's own flavour to the recipes). But what strengths should I use? I read somewhere that I should do 5%, 10% and 15%, but that seems excessively high, especially since I rarely see a recipe with more than 5% flavour concentration in it. I was thinking more along the lines of .5%, 1% and 3%, or 1%, 3% and 5%. What does the collective say? Also, should I include the nicotine in it or not?
Also, should I mix these flavours at the PG/VG ratio that I'm comfortable vaping at? I would think so, but if there's any reason to mix up a different ration, I'm all ears.
Also, I picked up an RDA to do my taste tests with. Sounds right, right? An RDA instead of a tank... My first foray into dripping. I'm so damned excited...

Hi, I don't add nicotine to single flavor tests since that's mostly about throat hit for me and I like to know what throat hit I get from the flavor itself. I use it in all experimental recipes though.
What percentage to use depends on the type of flavor and the brand in particular. You don't want to vape 15% menthol of any brand :) 1-3-5% makes more sense, although 1% is low for TFA and 5% is a lot for FA/INW. Personally I just try INW at 1%, FA at 3% and CAP/TFA at 5%, I only do a second test if it's way off my expectation.
As long as you use at least 20% PG so the flavor is carried properly, you can use any ratio you want.
Yup, RDA is the way to go for flavor testing :)

No worries, I love your enthusiasm, happy to offer any advice I can give :) Those are the brands I'm confident in from that list. I only have a couple of FW and I have no experience with FLV, but I believe FW and FLV are the weakest concentrates, slightly below TFA and CAP in terms of strength. Perhaps someone can fill in here with these brands?
Note that this is just a general guideline, there will always be deviations, but those are good averages.

I also like testing at three different strengths, one low to see how present the flavor is at a low amount, one in the middle, and one purposely a little too high to see if any off notes come out.
You can find general guidelines on which flavors to use for which brand but EVERY brand has exceptions that are either much stronger or much weaker than others. Look up the flavor and see what % others are using it at.
Some people don't include nicotine in testers. I do, because that's how I'm going to be vaping it. I also recommend doing it at the same PG/VG ratio that you're going to be vaping at. And yes, use an RDA for testing.

As for e-liquid-recipes saying there are no recipes, it could be that you didn't pick the right version of your flavors for your stash. When you search for a flavor, you need to sort by number of recipes and pick the one with hundreds or thousands of hits. If you pick any of the other ones, the "what can I make" feature won't work.
I know it's ok to store VG with nicotine in the freezer, but what about pure VG, is that ok? Also, how much of a concern is the leftover oxygen? I bought a ten litre tank of VG and a 1 litre bottle of 100mg/nic VG bottle. Thanks in advance
There's no reason to store pure VG in the freezer and leftover oxygen in it is not a problem at all, just make sure it's in an airtight container.
The one liter bottle of nicotine you may want to break down into small bottles and store those in the freezer, and leftover oxygen IS a concern, and you might look into some argon to fix that.
Freezing plain VG isn't needed. The nicotine however will stay fresh for years if properly stored. Here is good info, including suggested storage practices.
After testing, I break my liter into 60ml amber glass bottles, filling to the brim to exclude oxygen (need about 17 bottles). I keep a 30ml ldpe bottle in the fridge to work with, refilling as needed. I have nic over a year old that is still as good as new.

I'm about to receive my first order of flavours tomorrow afternoon via Canada Post - you know, those guys who always take time off for walking the strike lines around christmas? Anyway... What I'm wondering is what experience do y'all have with testing your different flavours. I've read that you should test at 5%, 10% and 15% flavour concentrations, but this seems terribly high to me when I look at recipes that are using between .25% and 4% concentrations of flavours in recipes. I don't know whether to go with 1%, 3% and 5%, or .5%, 2% and 5% with my tests. And I also know that certain manufacturers produce flavours that are considerable stronger or weaker than other manufacturers.

ID10-T has already been very helpful (on so many things) on some guidelines for some of these manufacturers, but I'm wondering what other experiences some of you may have had. And not just the old tyme posters, either. Some other newer folk who've just recently done their tests on some of these flavours - I'd love to hear from you too.
Maybe a guide in the sidebar that addresses these issues would be welcomed. A how-to which addresses how to go about setting up consistent testing procedures for the newbie. Everyone talks about how important it is to test, but no one's really telling anyone just how to go about doing that. I know there was some discussion on it further back (I only know this because ID10-T directed me to it today when I erroneously posted in the wrong forum for this info). You know, stuff like... advantages to using an RDA over a tank (and there are so many), why you need to change out your cotton so often, the importance of note taking and what kinds of things you should take notes on, the importance of KEEPING your notes because you'll invariable forget what you thought of a flavour once you get 6 more flavours tested down the road and if you've saved you're notes, you can go back to check them months down the road on that flavour that might be perfect for this new recipe but that you don't use very often, etc etc etc. I'd even be happy to write it up and have it checked over by someone. If it's the kind of thing that anyone would like in the sidebar. I know its the kind of info that I'd like to see in the sidebar. "You should test, test, test your flavours," says the voice of gawd. "But why?" asks the voice of the underling. "Because," booms the voice of gawd. "Because why?" comes the petulant voice of the minions/millions. "Because I said so. I said so, so be it. It is law!"

S'up dude. Here's what ya do...
Rules:
- There is no hard and fast rule. Read on...
- Go on ELR, click the drop down menu in the top right corner, select "flavor list", then type in the flavor you're about to make testers for. Look at "Average Mixing Quantity". For example, if you check Graham Cracker Clear, it is 2.7% (Median: 2%).
- Make your tester based on that. So one at 2.7% (3% is fine), one at 1% and one at 5%.
- There is no exact science to testing because every flavor is different and every company is different. However, after a while, you will notice a trend. For example, almost every singe Inawera flavor I've tried is super strong and does not need more than 5% and generally way lower like 1-3%. Whereas, several Hangsen flavors can go as high as 8%. But this you can generally get a sense of by looking at Average Mixing Quantity.
Parting note: I used to make three testers per flavor at different percents but have gotten lazy and now I just do one. The important part is to get a feel for the flavor and get some notes down. If I feel I've completely missed the mark with my test, I will do another one but as a general rule, I just hit the Average Mixing Quantity and call it a day. Reason is, I just have too many damn flavors to test. But if you can take the time to do three testers per flavor, that is fucking awesome and will definitely give you more insight into the flav.

Nice work! Don't forget to test them again after they steep a while. Rule of thumb: Fruits generally don't need a long steep, many are good as a shake n vape and will peak much sooner than other types of flavors. Custards, creams and tobaccos need 2 weeks to a month to fully develop. So for example, if you mix a simple strawberry and cream, when you try it on day 1 you might only taste strawberry and vanilla, but after a few weeks the strawberry will mellow out and the cream will start to show itself. This is a balancing act which only time can bring about. Also, some flavors are downright nasty without a steep. Some have floral notes that need steeping to go away, others have weird chemical notes that also fade with proper steeping. Generally, I test after a few days or a week just to see what it's like, then after 2 weeks or a month I actually sit down and take notes.
What do people mean by gravity of nicotine? I didn't see too many answers or explanations to this, but, what do they mean by "specific gravity"? Is that nic content? I've been trying to get into mixing and i want to know if that knowledge will be vital to a juice. Don't want to miss something major. (sorry if i missed a already posted answer, didn't see anything in the all about nicotine basics, and nothing popped up in search as to answer this)
It refers to the weight of the nicotine, if you're using a scale when mixing.
If you're using PG based nicotine, it's insignificant. You can just assume it weighs 1 g/ml, where aiming for a strength of 3 mg/ml would result in 2.9 mg/ml.
If you're using VG based nicotine however, which is a lot denser, the margin of error increases. Your 3 mg/ml juice will only come out to 2.4 mg/ml if you still assume 1 g/ml, since the specific gravity of 100 mg/ml VG based nicotine is around 1.24 g/ml.
I agree with everything that /u/leapinglabrats said, and add that in the "all about nicotine" thread from the sidebar has additional info and examples.

Just to confirm, and I've looked AAAA LOOOOT, the consensus is that there is a damn lot of mls of caffeine in a cup of coffee. And not that many mls of caffeine you can put in a bottle of ejuice.
So it ends up where you would have to vape a 120ml or so to get any sort of effects. That's generally the consensus correct?
That seems to be the case. Vaping just isn't an efficient way to get caffeine into your body. Just drink the caffeine and have your vape on the side. Or pop some No-Doz. Or in case of emergency

Allows you to create an inventory of the concentrates you own. Then, helps you out no end in a variety of ways. It has a function to show you recipes that you have the flavours for. A nice extra touch is you can change the criteria to include +1, +2, +3 concentrates you DON'T have to help you build your next order. If you save other mixers recipes, it will also tell you which flavours you need in order to make them. Essentially creating a shopping list for you. Can't say enough good things about this site. You don't need a paid subscription in order to use it, but this makes it limited, but the $14.00 a year or whatever it is is worth it even for no other reason that to thank /u/queuetue for his efforts.
The second option is ELR: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/ Similar function to ATF, put your flavours in your stash (you need an account) and it will tell you what you can make. The vast majority of recipes on this site are trash. I've never been back there since discovering ATF.
This isn't a question at all. I just wanted to say that my first order came in this afternoon and I was able to get seven tests done and my first 30ml bottle of my own ejuice recipe done! I used TFA Pear, TFA Apricot, FA Vienna Cream and FA Fresh Cream. I'll post it in the recipe section once it has steeped for 2 weeks and any bugs worked out. Now I smell like a bloody perfume factory! (And no spills, though I somehow neglected to order my needles to come with the syringes! Man, that caused some difficulties getting the flavours out of those tiny bottles with just syringes and no needles!)

I don't know if it's appropriate to do some troubleshooting here, but I'm going to give it a try...
I mixed some ejuice and after one week I notice a visible separation of the components, although I shake bottle several times a day.
The blend is 80pct VG, 20pct PG where 13pct is flavor (lime and mint).
When the bottle rests for a couple of hours the separation of components becomes visible, 95pct bottom components are homogeneous, but the top layer is not diffused.
Somebody knows what I'm doing wrong?
Other juices I make (also containing menthol) are fine...
