All The Flavors - Backups and Printing
submitted almost 9 years ago by queuetueAllTheFlavors Creator/Admin

Prompted by this very important message, I've added csv and json backups to All The Flavors, so if I go crazy or offline, you can keep your important data safe. Check "backup data" from the menu on the website, or go here.

In addition, printing is much improved for recipes, batches and mixes. I'd love to do label printing, but ... how would that work? I don't print labels myself right now, what format would you want them in?

See, /u/kirkt ? I told you I'd improve printing, it only took me about 2 months to get through all the tasks ahead of it in the queue. :)

You'll definitely want to allow PSD, PDF, JPEG & PNG. PSD/PDF are your most clearest for print, but your standard user pirating Photoshop doesn't know that.

Sorry, I don't mean what file format, I mean what print format. Are people printing sheets? Single items on a sheet? Thermal printers?

(And to be clear, high DPI PNG and JPG are just as "clear" as vector based formats like PS, PDF, AI and SVG - if they are prepared at the right target print format. PSD is the photoshop layer file format, which depends on the "clarity" of the source images.)

Thanks for all your amazing work /u/queuetue. Maybe I can do a recipe binder instead of a notebook now.
