Thanksgiving Corn Pudding
submitted almost 9 years ago by Arpeggiator8472

A sweet & savory side dish for your Thanksgiving Day smorgasbord!

70VG/30PG

2-7 day steep minimum

11.6% flavoring

HC Sweet Corn 0.6%

FW Bavarian Cream 1%

CAP Vanilla Custard 2%

TFA Ripe Strawberry 2%

HC Creamy Vanilla 2%

FA Cookie 1%

FA Vienna Cream 2%

NN Erythritol 1%

Health Cabin Sweet Corn is pretty potent stuff. Anything over 0.6%, I've found, overtakes the creams. It's an extremely authentic sweet yellow corn.

FW Bavarian Cream is a very thick and sweet cream. More so than any other bavarian cream I've ever used. Only 1% is necessary here. It adds a nice 'fluffy' kick to the HC Creamy Vanilla.

CAP Vanilla Custard/TFA Ripe Strawberry both lend to the milkiness tasted in the edible dinner side dish. We don't need full-blown custard or strawberry here. All we need is the milky quality that both flavors provide at these low percentages.

Health Cabin makes some really nice flavors. And Creamy Vanilla is just a decadent, thick, buttery flavor that shouldn't be overlooked. I have a few future projects in mind for this delectable flavor. This contributes largely to that 'creamed corn' flavor like no other brand of vanilla could.

FA Cookie is used here strictly for its' buttery nuance. It lends to both the buttery quality of the corn, as well as a very slight 'cakiness' of the side dish

FA Vienna Cream is used for its very sweet cream and along with HCs Creamy Vanilla, really completes the thickness & sweetness I was looking for.

Are you possibly the person who convinced me to add HC to All The Flavors this very morning? :)

Oh yay I can finally use the hc sweet corn I've got! I messed with a corn pudding but got sidetracked with other things, but I'll be mixing this one up for sure.

I was thinking of shooting for a corn fritter juice with it too. I've got every syrup/pancake flavor there is, I think one of the TFA ones will go great with sweet corn judging by smell.

Saw this on ATF. I REALLY need to get the HC flavors, I've been dying for a corn bread type flavor after trying one at an expo, so this sounds fantastic!

This is more of a corn pudding flavor. But I will give you my first born if you develop an accurate corn bread!!!!

Corn pudding is fine with me! One of my favorite thanksgiving dishes. But I've never seen the sweet corn flavor so now that I know it exists I'm gonna be a man on a mission!

Glad to see a sweet corn flavor is finally out there. Once I get some, I will be trying this.

Now, just to find a sweet carrot flavor, and a plain old white rice flavor.

I thought I was the only psycho wanting a nice carrot flavor! Imagine that with brown sugar and butter!

Is corn pudding a regional dish? I've not heard of it.

It's mainly a southern dish. Look up the recipe for the actual food & make some. It's just amazing! I usually make mine at Thanksgiving...
