Age verification methods for diy sites?
submitted almost 9 years ago by OFF_dish

Maybe it's the same as other sites but I'm wondering what age verification methods some diy sites use, I do not like to send out my picture ID and/or 4 digits so I guess I'm wondering if there are sites that don't need to use these.

Age verification is only required if you're buying nicotine from a site (for people in the US).

Not sure if you are outside of the US, but here, DIY sites don't require age verification. They aren't selling anything subject to regulation

I'm from EU and I ordered from ECX (despite shipping cost beeing as high as the value of my whole order). They asked me my ID and the end of my credit card number eventhough I wasn't ordering any nic

That's weird, I just ordered from them yesterday and they didn't require anything. I only bought 5 concentrates.

Even if you are ordering only flavorings and no nic, the site can't distinguish what's in your order. If a site sells nicotine, they have to have the age verification in place by law.

Now, as far as the verification goes, remember that they are checking your information against an existing database. You aren't giving them anything they don't already know.

Does that change your answer? :)

It very much does.

Edit to clarify: my original answer was specific to the situation of selling vape juice, not diy components.
