Bull City Flavors now ships to you!
I didn't know this until now. This is their shipping policy, only recently updated (that I know of).
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!!!! I WILL NOW STOP YELLING AT YOU IN ALL CAPS!!!
Literally emailed them last month asking if they would be willing to ship to Canada and the answer was a hard no. Guess things have changed. So fucking good. Cheers.
I know I'm probably a bit out of the loop, but what is so great about Bull City compared to current Canadian vendors?
Do they normally have a better selection? Are they usually more well stocked?
Pricewise, they seem to be on par (or worse after exchange and shipping) than places like Paragon Flavours.
I only checked pricing on Capella Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy (because it was at the top), but:
-
Bull City - 30 ml - $4.75 USD ($6.31 CAD)
-
Paragon - 30 ml - $4.75 CAD ($3.57 USD)
-
Bull City - 4 oz (118.294 ml) - $12.99 USD ($17.25 CAD)
-
Paragon - 120 ml (4.05 oz) - $18.50 CAD ($13.92 USD)
-
Bull City - 16 oz (473.17 ml) - $47.99 USD ($63.75 CAD)
-
Paragon - 500 ml (16.9 oz) - $72.00 CAD ($31.61 USD)
Bull City also has only 4 size choices, whereas Paragon has 7 (although, it does appear that Paragon is out of most of the larger sizes at this time).
Also, once you add on the, presumably, higher shipping cost, it seems like Bull City would be much more expensive to order from...
On top of that, they won't refund, even if the shipment is returned to them? That's a fairly odd policy, no?
I can understand if it's seized, buyer's risk and all that, but if you get the product back, why would you not issue a refund? Even a refund minus shipping would be acceptable, but to say, "Hey, sorry they sent it back to us, but we're going to keep all your money and re-sell this to a US buyer" seems a little...dishonest (unless they have a strict rule about tossing anything that comes back once it has left or something like that).
I'm not really seeing the excitement, but I'd be willing to get excited for the right reasons :P
For your run of the mill Bavarian Cream or Vanilla Swirl, Canadian vendors will be the better choice. But Bull City and ECX just have waaay more choices in terms of selection. This may not apply to everyone but since I mix only tobacco flavors, there are tons which are simply not available in Canada. It's not a price thing, it's a selection problem
When I ordered from ECX I did a cost analysis and it ended up being same price as if I had ordered in Canada, that's after conversion, shipping and duty. But I got a bunch of flavors that aren't available in Canada. That is why Bull City shipping north is a huge win. I support Canadian vendors as often as possible and once I have a big enough list of flavs that can't be bought in Canadian ruples, I hit up the US.
I am interested in this as well I mainly use diy-ejuice.com but have been having to go to ecx for some stuff they don't have. I wonder what bull city has that ecx doesn't.
I understand that, but honestly I always look at Paragon, Broke Vaper or Fusion on top of diy-ejuice for what I need. One of them has always had what I needed, so I haven't even bothered to shop Stateside yet.
As far as I see it, there's no point in me paying the extra shipping or potential duty (or worse, losing the whole shipment at customs), if I can get it here for the same price (or less with exchange).
It's really funny that you replied because I went there to put 2 tobaccos (because you just recommended them to someone) on my wishlist! Karma huh?
I think this is gonna be a big deal for ya'll. Huge variety ~~and saving some money. Win-win~~ Ok so I didnt take the exchange rate and shipping into account. Still should be a lot more variety, maybe some things that havent been available to you before.
From BullCity a 4oz bottle of Capella will run you $54.41 CAD shipped
vs.
The same 4oz bottle from diy-ejuice, shipped, is $33.41.
Although they do have a lot more flavours, it's only be worth it for larger orders. The shipping/currency exchange hurts lol
Yeah I didnt think about the exchange rate, that hurts. Well, I hope at least a wider variety of choices can make up for it.
According to /u/T_Mace, the selection is apparently better, so it would be good to get those flavours the Canadian vendors don't carry or don't have in stock
Also don't forget about http://www.diy-ejuice.com/ I buy everything from them and have it shipped here to the states. I put an order in yesterday morning and it arrived today. Great products and shipping. I haven't compared them to anyone else on prices so not sure how they compare on that.
I exclusively order from diy-ejuice and they have one of the best selections I've seen in Canada or US. I always order $100 so shipping is free and every time I've calculated the difference between other US or Canadian vendors it always came out in DIY's favor.
I prefer to support Canadian buisness
Just be careful as I ordered from ECX a few months back approx $120 worth of flavors and when I went to pick it up I was hit with a duty. This ended up costing $270. The explanation on the bill was it was deemed to be tobacco related products. Had no choice but to pay it, My thought at the time was if I decided to not pay I would loose everything. I was shocked. I believe I had one bottle of INW Strawberry Shisha that was the culprit but have not bought anything from the US ever since. DIY ejuice will get flavors in if you send them a email or speak with someone there most of the time. Just thought I would put this out there for all of the DIY'rs from Canada that buy from International suppliers.
