I know everyone recommends INW Kaktus so I won't even bother. But something else to consider to add that quench is actually cucumber. FA Cucumber, TFA Cucumber or CAP Cucumber works pretty well! Aside from that, a small amount of TFA Honeydew (0.3%) can also add juiciness!

Venting will sap flavor from your juices and is only used for specific flavorings that have alcohol in them. From what I understand it is done very sparingly if done at all.

Zero flavor still seems unusual though. Are you getting even possibly a very heavily muted flavor?

When i started i forgot to shake the shit out of my flavors and i noticed that most of my mixes lacked flavor. I did notice that when i whipped up the cuprian recipe last week, it was super flavorful at first but now i can barely taste it. Could be vapors toungue though cause i can taste other juices just fine. Maybe rhe mint killed my nose and toungue.

I agree with tiptup, you definitely shouldn't be venting the bottles. Just shake them good and possibly shake them a couple more times during the steep.

If you are new to making your own juice and just coming from "premiums" you might also be missing the sweeteners. This wouldn't account for total loss of flavor but it would make the e liquid seem not as sweet as it should be or the flavor now as powerful. If this is the case then About the only way past this phase is to just keeping juices without sweetener and eventually you'll enjoy the complexity more...it's really kind of like Stockholm syndrome.

Steeping a few days will definitely help. You should be utilizing sites like All The Flavors that give you an average percent used for flavorings. ATF also shows you how others have used those flavorings in recipes.

The 5% rule is something that a lot of us use when using TFA flavorings. Start by mixing each flavor by itself (with pg, vg, and nic if you want) at 5%. Shake and vape test, then let it age for a few days to sample it again to get an idea of how the flavor works. Typically, less is more when it comes to percentages used.

If you think you can just throw stuff together at random percentages, you're going to have a bad time. Especially if you are not allowing your mixes to age for at least 24-48 hours.

Well I don't think there's anyone here better than you who would know about this. We don't know what the laws are there. I suggest doing some research and figuring this out.

Of course it's ok. We're happy to help. You could always make another batch while that one is steeping. You might try increasing the VBIC by 1%, but since that will lower the overall concentration of blackberry and you like where the blackberry is, maybe also reducing the Sweet Cream by 0.5 or 1%? Or just make something different while you wait to see how this one steeps out.

1. To me the best way to mix is to make enough that you can vape it for a day or two a week and have the bottle last about 3-4 weeks. That way you get to taste it fresh and aged. If you're just starting out I'd recommend choosing recipes that require minimal steeping. Don't try and mix to a schedule when you start, you could mix a months worth of juice, find out it's all shit, and be mixing again in a few days.

2. There are concentrates that are vapeable as single flavours. Often 2-3 concentrates in a recipe will be a lot more vapeable. Recipes including 5+ concentrates can be nice but they're not a necessity to get a good vape.

3. Store it somewhere cool and dark and you will easily get 3+ months out of your juice.

4. That could from a few things, hard to say without seeing the recipe. I find most of the juices I mix are at their best flavour at about the 2 week mark and the stay pretty stable for another 2 weeks after that. The flavour slowly declines from then on. You will need to experiment with recipes to see how long the last, it's dependant on a lot of things.

5. I've always got different juices on hand. There's maybe 5-6 recipes that I find my self remaking once every couple of months. Once you've been mixing for a while and have built up a semi-decent library of concentrates you'll find organising your mixing a lot easier.

Overall - pick a few solid recipes that don't require much steeping to start out with. Start mixing them and vaping them. Don't worry too much about steeping. As you get the chance pick up more concentrates to try some other recipes. Give it a year or two and you'll have a couple hundred concentrates on hand ;-)

I'd love you help you but the question is a little confusing to me. Unless you're going for as much VG as possible, which it does not sound like you want to do because your tank won't wick well, you can get PG or VG-based nicotine or even a combination, along with additional PG and VG without nicotine, in order to reach your desired PG/VG ratio in your juice. As for the flavors, just find the recipes you want to make and order the flavors for them, whether from nicotine river or some other vendor.

The majority of flavourings are PG based, there are VG based concentrates but sticking to those will really limit your choices.

I mix to 70/30PG 3mg mostly and for nicotine I like 100mg 70/30PG. It's much easier to work with than 100%VG nic and still gives you quite a bit of flexibility in your final VG/PG ratio.

I'd suggest using one of the calculators on the sidebar and having a play with the ingredients strengths and VG/PG ratios to get a feel for how your mixes will turn out.

VapeWild's nic is in VG base. They also stock everything else you should need. Besides that, they're stupid cheap.

FWIW, I think that the harshness of PG is way overstated. Simply not true. I prefer 40pg in my sub tank, terrific flavor.

Plus PG-based nic is more user friendly. And if you purchase 100mg/ml strength then you will only use .9ml per 30 ml bottle to reach 3mg. So def pick up a small bottle of pg to be able to reach your preferred ratio.

I think that you could get everything at www.ecigexpress.com. Another well-respected vendor is BCF, everything except nicotine, but prob the largest selection across all the major brands of flavors.

These will get you started for sure, and if you like this hobby and want larger quantities of vg/pg, then essential depot is the one you want.

A cool place to start small is LiquidBarn.com. Their starter kit has more than enough labware, and enough flavors, nic, vg, and pg to really get you going. Once you run out of a flavor(s), nic, or liquids, start replacing them with better stuff.

I'd personally recommend using one of the suppliers from the 'All About Nicotine' post in the sidebar for sourcing your nicotine. And then look at ECX, Gremlindiy.com, or Bullcityvapor.com for your flavourings. One of those flavouring vendors should have most of what you want. The unfortunate thing with DIY is that you often end up needing to make multiple orders to get everything you want.

RTSVapes is OK for flavouring but their nicotine is pretty bad - it's been a couple years since I've used them so they may have stepped up their game.

I don't think anyone has that flavor, at least not those who have seen your comment, including myself. I've looked around a bit, found this which contains about 80 public recipes to comb through, and also noticed there's only 1 private recipe on alltheflavors that uses it at 0.75% which means it might be rather obscure.

I can say that if you're looking for a decent cherry flavor that doesn't taste like antiseptic, INW Marzipan is pretty decent, as is FA Marzipan, but FA has a bit more subtle cherry flavor. Both contain a bit of a nougat texture, so if you're after a juicy cherry, you might have to toy with other ingredients to incorporate a juiciness in your mix. That being said, if you do buy either of these, their actual cherry taste is probably better than just about any actual "cherry" flavoring out there.

If you want to go lower than 0.25% I would recommend doing a 10% dilution.

at 1 ml of tfa maraschino to 9 ml of PG.

This means that adding 2.5% of your diluted liquid equals adding 0.25% of the original.

I also do this when make small samples as it easier to weigh out.

I cant link from work right now, but if you can figure out how to view the sidebar, there is a "all about nicotine" link. I use the storage practices outlined there, and have 16 month old nic that is as good as new, and I think years would be ok.

The higher the nic stregnth, the more important proper storage becomes. Stock up whilst you can!

Hello, I'm a bit confused too, it seems it's being enforced all over Europe, but not over night. I guess they're allowing vendors to sell what they have in stock. It's just a matter of time though, Brexit or not, so stock up now and toss that nic in the freezer.

You'll still be able to obtain nic under TPD but only 10 ml bottles of 20 mg/ml. It'll just be more expensive and more hassle.

If you want to use gloves or eye protection is up to you. I've never bothered, I'm just careful when handling it. Wash off any you get on your skin right away and you'll be fine.

There has been a ton of threads on this over at potv, general consensus seems to be that you will still be able to buy 72mg nic from the likes of dark star even when Tpd is fully implemented next May.

The regs relate primarily to premade commercial juices and are really vague when it comes to diy but basically after November 20th all newly manufactured ejuice for commercial sale needs to abide by the new regs. Retailers have until 20 May 2017 to clear non compliant stock.

Many of the nic resellers have stated they will continue to sell as it is upto the manufacturer to ensure compliance of the retail product which they deem to be either the diy mixer or the commercial manufacturer/vape shop.

The word you're looking for is "diluent". Yeah, it's a weird word, I just discovered it recently myself.

It seems like VBIC is a flavor that hits people differently. Have you tasted it the way you want to taste it? It may not be the flavor you're looking for. Have you tried it strong and standalone to see what it's bringing to the table (for YOUR pallette)? There are plenty of flavors that everyone says is the perfect X when all I get is a mediocre Y. If that makes sense.

Something I do when I'm experimenting with combos is mix 10ml of each flavor at a decent standalone percentage. Then you can mix straight into a dripper or tank and count drops to see where your ratios are ballpark. This helps me see if the cream to fruit needs to be 1:1 or 10:1 so that I don't waste the first 3-5 versions.

I used to add more of the flavor I wanted more of. More often than not it works better to decrease the rest of the flavors instead.

You could bang a nice raspberry lemonade together with those.

You almost have enough for some other recipes I know - Nana Cream is strawberry, banana cream and dragonfruit.

I make a grape/menthol that's good - you have all the makings of Thug Juice, so I'm assuming you've made that - just leave the watermelon out.

Get some vanilla swirl and sour, and you can make a decent Pink Starburst I have that's good - 8% strawberry, 6% watermelon, 4% vanilla swirl, .4% sour.

A 50/50 watermelon/strawberry was my ADV all last summer. I'd start at 10% and work up if it's too weak. Hard candy with that would work, as would menthol and koolada.

You have a limited pallete to work from here - I'd get some of the staples - dragonfruit, peach, blueberry, etc, try small samples on their own, and start trying them together, and with menthol/mint.

I love raspberry on it's own. I'd mix that for sure.

If you like mint and menthol and koolada, throw some peppermint in there, in the future.

You can do that. Just make sure you educate yourself on the benefits of mixing by weight before you choose not to do so. If start-up costs are your concern, you can order syringes (large for your base, small for your flavors), bottles, VG-based nicotine, and flavors from vendors in the sidebar and just start mixing your own juice. Hello, the clone requests thread would be a better place to post this, but now that you're here.. I've never tried this juice, what does it taste like? Lemon-y, okay, what else? Some flavors can have a slight lemon character, but we'd need the whole profile to know if they might be in there.

Note that it's rarely worthwhile to attempt an exact clone. What is useful is trying to figure out what flavors there are and how you could combine what you have into something similar. It will almost never be the same, but it can be a fun and rewarding experience that will teach you a lot about how flavors interact.

That said, if it's been a year since you tried it and you don't have any at hand, you're better off just making a profile to aim for and try to develop your own recipe from scratch.

The juice's description reads:
"A delicate lemon zest sugar cookie with the addition of a sweet cream reduction; and encompassing the flavor, a baked in oatey note that is like no other. Giving the flavor a cereal like tendency."
I would start with Capella Sugar Cookie as a base note for obvious reasons, then possibly throw in some FA Custard, as this flavor does have a zesty lemony accent to it. Other concentrates that may get you closer would be TPA sweet cream in there, and for the oatey notes you could try FLV crunch cereal and FA cookie at low percentages.

3.5% - CAP Sugar Cookie V1
2.5% - FA Custard
1.5% - TPA Sweet Cream
0.5% - FA Cookie
0.3% - FLV Crunch Cereal
0.3% - FA Lemon Sicily

That's what I would start with personally, however it could be wayyy off the mark! But hey, that's the fun of DIY, you may make something you enjoy even more than the original.

I would also maybe try fa nona's cake as it has a lemon flavor to it as well.

It's called a flavor base and you can use a calculator to convert the percentages. Many sites have this feature too, such as ELR. Click a recipe, then click the wrench and select "make flavor base".

It's probably the Graham Cracker Crust. You should be using Graham Cracker Clear

80/20 is a lot different than 70/30. Like ten different. Seriously though 22 gauge stays hot for a long time so if you're doing everything else the same you're probably just cooking the shit out of your wicks which can't keep up with 80/20.

Edit: I don't single coil so I tried to get a single coil 80w .2 build on steam engine that didn't hurt my lungs by looking at it and wasn't successful.

Assuming you're at like 1mm diameter with six wraps. Maybe do not that and see what happens.

I think it is probably the graham cracker, make sure you get the clear version.

ELR has a place where you can go in resources then flavor list and search for your flavors. Once you click on your particular flavor you can see the recommended or average percentage people use that flavor.

Stay low, 1% or less as a rule. Any higher and it can mute flavor over time. It isnt a sweetener like sucralose, rather it gives the impression of sweetness. Sucralose on the other hand is more useful as an instant sweetener, but it will wreck your coils. FWIW, most of us dont use either one.

You shouldn't mess around with that until you've been mixing for awhile. Give yourself time to get used to non-sickingly sweet juices. TFA Cotton Candy is just Ethyl Maltol. It will not enhance the overall sweetness of your mix, but rather increase the sweetness of a particular aspect of the mix. Using EM can also possibly mute flavors.

It really depends on the laws in your state, but if you keep it between people you know and trust, you should be fine

You can't always substitute FW for TPA and vice versa and get good results, but sometimes you can. Sometimes you can substitute them in the same amounts, sometimes you need different amounts. You get the taste of shitty juice out of your device by either putting in a new coil, taking apart your device and cleaning with alcohol, warm water, and soap, getting a rebuildable device that you can clean, make a new coil, and put a fresh wick in. That's pretty much it.

If you live in a very hot climate, sure. If not, there's no real benefit.

If your nicotine will last you a very long time, keeping a working bottle for mixing and putting the rest in a freezer will prevent it from oxidizing too fast.

The most important thing with all liquids is to keep them out of direct sunlight, heat and to keep the containers sealed at all times.

I think it depends on the specific wine or type of wine and, more than anything, on personal preferences. So, these are my personal preferences.

I steer clear of mint, menthol, and cinnamon with wine. They just don't go well together for me.

Dry Red: Robust, nutty vapes, that aren't too sweet. Boozy flavors would be great. Dark berries or berries and creams but nothing too bright. Dark caramel that's not sugary.

Medium Red: Just about anything except mint, menthol, cinnamon, but especially good with creamy flavors. Perfect wine for a berry + cream vape that's not overly sweet.

Sweet Red: The sweeter the wine, the sweeter the juice to go with it. Sweet juices with ripe strawberry, blueberry, blackberry would be good. A sweet cheesecake would be great. Cake flavors, yes. Edit: And Cookies!

Dry White: Mild citrus flavors, peach, orange, lemonade, no bakery stuff, maybe some mild tobaccos. Cocktail-inspired juices. Tea flavors.

Medium white: Peaches and cream would be perfect, but almost anything could be good.

Sweet White: Tropical fruits and melons. All the tropical fruits. Banana, pineapple, coconut, mango, papaya, kiwi, etc.

Haven't seen a recipe like the one you're describing. It might be nearly impossible since the Jungle Juice used to give it that menthol flavor is also a watermelon flavor. I don't know of a Jungle Juice equivalent with another fruit (such as strawberry or peach) combined with menthol that tastes like that. Now, if you don't mind it being peach-melon or strawberry-melon, that could be as easy as replacing the other two watermelons with other fruits, but would still be a project to balance it all correctly - you're right that a 1:1 substitution would not likely taste very good.
