Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:
- /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
- This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.
Happy Mixing!
Hey guys. I lurked here for a while and finally decided to try dabbling in diy. Here's my flavors TFA Cheesecake Graham crust TFA Ripe Strawberry TFA Sweet cream TFA Fruit Circle TFA Vanilla Swirl TFA Banana Cream TFA DX Peanut Butter TFA DX Vanilla Cupcake Capella Blueberry
Any suggestion is really appreciated :) I really love blueberry too but can't seem to find a combination with it that i really like
Also if there is a flavor i should get that you would recommend I'm open to that also. Thank you :)
maybe try
- 1% Cheesecake Graham Crust
- 3% Strawberry Ripe
- 1% Vanilla Swirl
If that doesnt work try
- 1-2% Cheesecake Graham Crust
- 4-5% Strawberry Ripe
- 1-2% Vanilla Swirl
you cld also try a combo of
- x% banana cream
- 3-5% strawberry ripe
- and maybe add 1% vanilla swirl or cheesecake graham crust
this is just a theory and may or may not taste good, or require adjusting the percentages.
Ooh that sounds good, i will try that tonight. I made similar with blueberry instead and it was pretty tasty but a little too strong. The total flavor % came to like 12. Will let you know how it is
This is a tough collection of flavors for me to come up with something so far but I'll take a crack at it. When you say you love blueberry, do you just mean blueberry in general or have you tried that CAP Blueberry of yours by itself and found that you enjoy it alone but not so much in combination with your other ingredients?
I haven't tried it by itself. I just in general like blueberry flavors
Try small testers of all of your flavors by themselves, starting with CAP Blueberry. That should give you an idea of which flavors you want to mix together that would be better than any combination anyone here could come up with from your list of flavors.
Rather than choosing flavors just because they sound good, look for some recipes that look good to you and get the ingredients you need to make them. You might try searching for recipes that use some of the flavors you already have so you're using what you've got and not buying so many. Try those recipes first, play with your new flavors second.
I know posted here for recipe suggestions and not advice on how to become a better mixer, but this is the best I can do with your limited collection. Maybe someone else will come along and actually give you a recipe, I just can't think of one based on those flavors this morning. But if you want any assistance with what %s to test your flavors by themselves or suggestions for recipes to buy things for and try, I'd be happy to help.
Hello everyone. This is a great community, I've been getting a lot of ideas from the recipes! I've recently ordered my first DIY kit from TheBrokeVapor with 15 flavors. I'd love to hear some suggestions! Here are the flavors:
-
TFA Strawberry Ripe
-
CAP Vanilla Custard V1
-
TFA Bavarian Cream
-
TFA Dragonfruit
-
TFA Graham Cracker Clear
-
TFA Caramel
-
TFA Orange Cream
-
TFA Orange Mandarin
-
CAP Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
-
TFA Banana Ripe
-
TFA Cinnamon Spice
-
CAP Butter Cream
-
TFA Juicy Peach
-
TFA Cherry Blossom
-
TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust
Many of these choices were influenced by this subreddit's "Top Flavors of 2015" list, along with some personal preferences. I enjoy Orange Creamsicle flavors but I'm certainly open to any others. Thank you and all my best!
Try this: 7% TFA Dragonfruit, 2% Strawberry Ripe, 2% Bavarian Cream, 1% CAP Vanilla Custard
And this: 6% CAP Vanilla Custard v1, 3% CAP Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, 2% TFA Bavarian Cream, 2% TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust.
Disclaimer: I haven't tried either of those exactly, but one's very similar to a delicious recipe I created and the other's based on an even better recipe that I've tried. Let them both steep for a week.
You're missing too many flavors to make any of the great orange creamsicle recipes I'm aware of and I'm not comfortable with suggesting something using TFA Orange Mandarin because I've never tried it, but look at these: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/4ehoal/dreamsicle_v_perfected_v_2/
https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/3666bd/sicle_an_orange_creamsicle_flavor_with_a_touch_of/
For what to buy next or to experiment with substituting in the flavors you do have.
Make sure you try all of these flavors by themselves first so you can get a good feel for them before coming up with your own recipes. There's an excellent post about that here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/4fdevi/modest_monday_reviewing_flavors/
Thank you for the great info! I will definitely try the two recipes you gave above and let you know how they turned out. If you don't mind me asking, what are some of your other favorite flavors for e-juice creation?
You're welcome, please do, and of course I don't mind. If you'd asked before ordering, I would have advised you to, rather than just ordering flavors that sound good, find recipes that look good to you and order the flavors you need to make those. Make those recipes, single-flavor test your flavors, then start playing around with adjusting the recipes to better fit your own preferences or with building your own from scratch. It's not too late to do that now, and those two orange creamsicle recipes would be a good place to start. I'd get the stuff to make both of them and compare them.
But to answer your question, you've picked out some of the best, most versatile flavors there are, especially for beginners to use, in Strawberry Ripe, CAP VC, Bavarian, Dragonfuit, Graham Cracker Clear, and Cheesecake Graham Crust. Other than that, it depends on what you're interested in and what you like. I strongly recommend CAP Sugar Cookie, but before getting it, look at some of the recipes here: https://alltheflavors.com/flavors/capella-sugar-cookie and get the other ingredients needed to make the ones that appeal to you.
- CAP Vanilla Custard V1 3%
- TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust 2.2%
- TFA Caramel 2.1%
- TFA Bavarian Cream 1.5%
- TFA Cinnamon Spice, 1 drop per 30ml, literally 1 drop, this stuff is strong.
Caramelle Custard
- CAP Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 3.8%
- TFA Orange Cream 2.4%
- TFA Banana Ripe .9%
- TFA Cherry Blossom .75%
Very Berry Ice Cream
Not certain how this one will turn out, not familiar with orange cream or cherry blossom.
Experiment with your flavors, start with low percentages and work down. You learn more from your mistakes then you do from your successes.
Thank you Tiptup, I'm definitely going to try these! The custard one looks particularly yummy :)
Hope it works out for ya. If it doesn't, you can try adjusting the values around to fix it. Good practice.
Remember if you're not tasting a flavor in the mix, but your tasting a flavor "around" that flavor, then it's probably too high of a percentage.
TIP: If you ever run into an unvapable mix because of a too strong flavor, just fill the bottle to the top with your preferred % of vg/pg to the top to dilute the strength of all the flavorings. Then let it resteep for however long it took to steep in the first place. Try vaping it again till the bottle gets a little lower, then repeat. This can also give you a better understanding of how flavorings react to different percentages.
Hey, guys. Here's a list of what I got:
TFA gummy candy
TFA strawberry
FA banana
TFA green tea
TFA brown sugar extract
CAP sweet cream
TFA Dragonfruit
CAP vanilla custard
TFA frosted donut
TFA vanilla swirl
FW butterscotch ripple
TFA honeydew
TFA vanilla bean ice cream
TFA marshmallow
CAP cinnamon Danish swirl
CAP Graham cracker
LA banana cream
FLV butterscotch
So.... A lot of random stuff. If you suggest something super delicious that can be made out of them, I'll be very grateful and you might even get an upvote.
Thanks everyone!
Edit: changed FV to FLV
FV Butterscotch, I assume you mean FLV?
Oops, yep, sorry.
I'd go with something like this for a custard:
- CAP Vanilla Custard 5%
- FLV Butterscotch 3%
- TFA Brown Sugar Extra 1%
- CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl 1%
You could also do a bit of a Strawberry Donut:
- TFA Frosted Donut 5%
- TFA Strawberry 4%
- TFA Dragonfruit 0.5%
- TFA Marshmallow 0.5%-1% (for body)
My flavours are on there way and should arrive on Tuesday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. They are all Liquid Barn flavours and are as follows: Flavor 1: Cappuccino Flavor 2: Cream Flavor 3: Creme Brulee Flavor 4: Vanilla Ice Cream Flavor 5: Menthol (Flavor Enhancer) Flavor 6: Strawberry Flavor 7: Coconut Milk Flavor 8: Peach Flavor 9: Greek Yogurt Flavor 10: Fresh Cream
I plan on ordering more in the future but this is what I will have to start with.
Not a lot of recipes to be found using LB flavors - I've never tried one myself. Recommend trying them all individually first, at various %'s, to get a taste for them, and then you'll know which ones you want to combine. When you go to order more flavors in the future, find recipes that appeal to you and get the flavors to make them, then try getting creative with them after you've tasted them individually and in a mix.
Flavour list https://imgur.com/gallery/Iewh6 here is a screenshot of my flavour stash on e liquid recipes. Any suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks guys! If you need me to write the list out I will, just thought it was easier
Definitely make the famous Mustard Milk, 6% TFA Strawberry, 8% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
Unless you're one of the unfortunate people for whom VBIC tastes like pepper, you'll most likely find it to be a wonderful, versatile flavor that mixes well with almost every fruit, as well as many other flavors. For a handful of other 2-flavor combos, try it at 4% with your FW Kiwi at 5%, Kiwi Double at 4%, CAP Sweet Mango at 4%, TFA Pineapple at 2%, and Cheesecake Graham Crust at 3%. It also tastes pretty good as a shake and vape (I actually prefer Mustard Milk that way) but also changes over time, so you can make those, try them, and if you don't like them right away, put them aside and try them again in after a week to two weeks.
So change the strawberry for the other fruits?
Exactly, but the other fruits are stronger flavors than the strawberry, so you wouldn't want to use as much of them. And 8% VBIC is a lot (I actually like Mustard Milk better with the %'s reversed, so 8% Strawberry and 6% VBIC, though I seem to be in a minority there), so I suggest starting at 4% in combination with those other fruits. If you think it needs more, you could increase it in subsequent batches, but 4% is a good place to start. The point is, you can make many enjoyable mixes with just VBIC and one other flavor. After you try that, you might be inspired to get creative and mix things like Kiwi Mango Ice Cream (like 3% FW Kiwi, 2.5% CAP Sweet Mango, 4% VBIC would probably be good) or Strawberry Pineapple Ice Cream (6% TFA Strawberry, 1.5% TFA Pineapple, 5% VBIC perhaps), but the simple two-flavor mixes are a good place to start.
I've tried some of the suggestions here and thank you, they were excellent! I've added a few new flavors to my stash, any suggestions for recipes are greatly appreciated!

What were some of the suggestions you tried and enjoyed? Knowing that would be a great help in trying to figure out what else you might like.
Hi ID10-T! I did the very first recipe you suggested, the Dragonfruit blend, and it is very tasty! My first e-juice and it did very well, thank you :) My next recipe will be the first dreamsicle recipe you linked.
I'm interested now in some caramel blends, and my roommate like butter rum flavors. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, as always, and thank you for your very kind continued assistance, you rock my friend :)
You are too kind. Now that you've added Vanilla Swirl to your arsenal, try that dragonfruit blend again but with 2% Vanilla Swirl instead of the 1% Vanilla Custard: Mother of Dragons' Milk
I don't have any experience with TFA Caramel and didn't even know that TFA Butter Rum existed, so hopefully someone with knowledge of those flavors will come along and help you. I tried looking for recipes with TFA Caramel but couldn't find one that you have the flavors for.
However, I do see that you have CAP Sugar Cookie now. Allow me to recommend this: Simple Sugar Cookie - 8% CAP Sugar Cooke, 4% CAP Vanilla Custard V1. It's an extremely simple and versatile recipe. After you try the original, try making your own simple variations by adding one of your other flavors to it, such as 2.5% TFA Caramel, 2% TFA Orange Cream, 1% TFA Banana Ripe, ~~0.5~~ 0.25% TFA Cinnamon Spice, or 1.5% FA Meringue. Or try removing 1.5% of the CAP Vanilla Custard and replacing that with 2% Bavarian Cream, 2% TFA Marshmallow, 1.5% CAP Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, or 2% TFA Vanilla Swirl. Or shaving 1.5% off of the Sugar Cookie and replacing that with 2% Graham Cracker Clear or 2% Cheesecake Graham Crust. I can't imagine any of those additions would taste bad, and some of them might be a big improvement on the original. Have fun, and happy mixing! Edit: changed my mind about the amount of TFA Cinnamon Spice.
