I just wanted to share my experience with all you fine lads and ladies.
I very, very recently ordered nicotine from VapeWild. I know, I know. Probably a bad move. I needed bottles and nic badly, and they have PET bottles for dirt cheap (10 for $3.75). I decided to try their nic. 'Seven something for a 60ml bottle of 100mg/ml nic isn't half shabby', I thought. Well... I got what I paid for.
This morning, upon opening my box from VapeWild (it arrived extremely quick... two days, and it shipped out at 10pm on Tuesday the 27th) I was pretty ecstatic. Fifty new 30ml bottles, and two 60ml bottles of 100mg/ml nic in 100% VG (not happy about 100% VG, but it's all they had). Immediately it was off, though. The nic is a medium brown. My Wizard Labs nic that I've had for two months isn't that dark yet. I cracked open a bottle of the VW nic (which isn't sealed, only child-proofed), and I got that wonderful waft of horse cum. You guys know what I'm talking about. It's as if the shit was left out for days in sunlight. It's absolutely horrible.
I have gotten in contact with VW to see what the deal is and try to get my money back for the nic. I just wanted to let everyone else know. I know there have been a few questions on the sub about VapeWild's nicotine, as it's so cheap. I wouldn't recommend this nicotine at all.
As an ending note, I'm not bashing VapeWild. They've were pretty awesome to me before I got into DIY. Their nic is simply awful, though.
Have a good one, and look forward to a few recipes coming soon! I've been quiet, but I've been busy as well.
EDIT 1: I spoke with VW customer service, and they are going to send out two new bottles. The man I spoke with said that he spoke with his supervisor and a "avid" DIYer and they both said it's normal after I sent a picture and explained the situation. It's definitely not normal, but they are trying to fix it. Hopefully the new batch is good to go. I'll update again when the new bottles arrive.
EDIT 2 : Image of the nic the day I got it.

EDIT 3 : I received my replacement order of nicotine today, Oct. 3, 2016, and it is just as bad as the order I received on Sep. 29, 2016. I will be requesting a refund from VapeWild. Following will be shots of the nicotine against standard white printer paper for a better viewing experience.

Thanks for sharing. This may help some other beginners to stay away from it.
For future reference, there are plenty of reputable nicotine vendors listed in the side bar. I personally prefer nude nicotine, though a quick search yields many people having trouble with them. Never been the case for me, and they have a lot of proprietary nicotine blends and processes.
Oh, absolutely. I usually use Wizard Labs as the quality has been great for me personally. I know people had issues a year or so ago, though. I have had hesitation with NN simply because of the long shipping times and the horror stories I have read.
Really wanted to get VW Nic for the science. I was curious, and others on the sub were as well. I could have eaten the shipping from somewhere else, but someone had to make the leap.
I wonder if mixing with this will add that delicious semen taste I've been looking for.
Liquid barn's us one was exactly like you described. Their niquid one is ok. Wiz is still the best ive ever used
I got nicselect from liquid barn around February for my first order and it was pretty bad, off colored and smelled like a mixture of burnt rubber and black pepper, It was all I could taste even in mixes at 15% flavoring and was harsh as hell, totally unusable.
I'm sure it was just a bad batch or something and their customer service was great, but I'd rather spend a little more and know what I'm getting.
I have some Heartland vapes nicotine that is over a year old (been in the deep freeze since I separated into smaller bottles) and it is still crystal clear.
Same. No one ever talks about Heartland imo (it's always Nude, Wizard, Carolina, etc. but I can't tell a real difference lol). I love Heartland. I've never had a single goddamned problem with them, and with all the issues and controversies that spring up around these companies, Heartland is my go-to now (and has been for some time) specifically because they're easy to work with and everything is on point.
So it's odd to me that no one ever shows them any love. You're like the only other person I've ever even heard talk about em lol.
I have a bottle of Heartland nic filled between 1/4-1/3 that's like 6 months old that hasn't ever been frozen, hasn't ever been refrigerated, nothing. It's not brown, has no off smell, etc. It's completely oxidized like it was brand new or something lol. It was kind of an experiment to see how fast it would oxidize if I tried to limit it's exposure, and it's absolutely fine, so I'm still using it lol.
So when I hear about this kind of stuff, I just don't understand... Did they just let it sit in a vat oxidizing for hours or something before packaging it?
Heartland is great. Good pricing, fast shipping and no issues. They were giving away samples a few years back and I tried their nic and it was tasteless so I've been buying from them since.
That's what I'm saying. I have some Wizard Labs nic that is still clear, and it's two months old. All I did was put the 120ml bottle in the freezer and pulled it out to fill my working bottle when needed. We'll see what happens, though. They already shipped out the new order, so we shall know in a few days what is what.
I wonder if the nicotine was old supply they tried to make some money on by re-bottling. I also wonder if the batch number has other bottles with nicotine of that quality.
That sucks for you, sorry.
Maybe it was just a one-time mess up on their part because from what I have seen VapeWild has decent products and nice people working for them.
They absolutely have decent products, and the CS is amazing. I exclusively vaped their juice for about a year. The nic just wasn't up to snuff.
I figured I would contact them, and I'll update this if it's a one time thing. In the meantime, I wanted to let people know... I've never received nic this bad before, and I'm kind of a sad panda right now, Sad Panda.
Their juice is awful. I bought a huge sampler from them a while back and threw almost every single one out...
They've announced 2 new nicotines used in their juice in the past year in a half. Supposedly the last one in January was to be even smoother than their previous vg based. Maybe they're clearing out old stock. Maybe it was just a bad order.
Either way I was also hoping they would be a good alternative. Shame that your experience is bad so far. Their CS is supposed to be pretty good though.
Honestly, I think they definitely have the bottles of nic pre-made. I ordered at about 3pm EST and they shipped it out at about 11pm EST the same day. It would explain the weirdly fast shipping and the oxidation.
It came in a clear PET bottle with no batch numbers or anything. There was no real seal on it. There is a seal in the cap, but it is not very functional, as the cap slides up and down freely (it won't come off, but it raises and lowers about half an inch or so just like the screw on cap for a bottle of juice in a plastic bottle). Sitting around in a clear bottle with no proper seal for awhile will definitely destroy the nic.
I've got a bottle of Carolina labs nicotine in my freezer for like 4 months how long is the shelf life? I never took it out of the mylar pack which I don't remember if it's impukse/vacuum sealed or not.
If you like the PET bottles, NicRiver has nice ones and their nic is pretty decent, too.
It is NOT normal at all for new nicotine to be discolored. I've had my MFS nicotine for months and it's still crystal clear. Even my Chemnovatic nic which did oxidize over time, took months to turn a yellow color... Never brown.
You've got to consider that it's been in the upper 90s in Texas until this week. Depending on what shipping method was used and how far away he was, the heat could play a significant part in this.
Brown though? Just from shipping? I found that very hard to believe.
I had a bottle of Carolina Xtracts oxidize enough that my liquids were very harsh (on the edge of unvapable) by just sitting in my 80F room for 2 days.
100mg/ml nic is pretty volatile, and if VW didn't use something like argon to displace the oxygen, the agitation could get oxygen all mixed into the liquid. Add in the heat and you get oxidation. Inside a metal shipping truck the temperatures could easily get north of 100F.
It's also entirely possible that OP is exaggerating, since to my knowledge he hasn't posted any pics of this "brown" nicotine.
Think you can share the pictures you sent VW?
We would like to thank you all for pointing out your concerns about certain VapeWild DIY products. After reading your comments and conducting an internal review, we are taking the following steps to correct these concerns:
1.) We are relabeling our nicotine and website to say 100mg/ml. We will also clarify that our nicotine is 99.87% USP Grade suspended in 99.7% USP Kosher VG on the back of the label.
2.) We are adding batch numbers to all of our 100mg/ml nicotine products.
3.) We are offering a 100% refund to anyone who is not satisfied with their nicotine purchase prior to Oct. 3rd, 2016
4.) The videos in question have been removed.
5.) The VapeWild customer service staff are going through an extensive and ongoing DIY training.
On another note, we would also like to point that the flavorings we purchase are from several different independent flavor manufacturers, and we make custom blends. Nothing is ever sold directly from a flavor manufacturer’s bottle.
VapeWild would like to thank everyone again for their criticisms, and we look forward to making these changes and earning your trust in the future. The reddit vaping community has been a big part of vaping’s growth as well as VapeWild’s. Although criticism is sometimes hard to hear, we understand it is necessary to become a better retailer for our customers.
A couple more things you may wish to think about. Just suggestions.

Amber bottles for the nicotine. Doesn't necessarily have to be glass, as shipping glass is dangerous as it is, let alone with concentrated nicotine inside. The amber color will stop UV light from getting into the bottles. UV light WILL break the nicotine down.
-
Seal the bottles properly. The only seal on the bottle is in the cap (which is not a polycone lined phenolic cap). The seals as they are do not seal the bottle air tight. It does not allow leaking, but air is definitely still getting inside the bottles, causing oxidation.

This may be a stretch, but I think I'm spot on... Make the nicotine to order. Judging by how quickly you shipped out the nicotine (same day), these bottles were pre-made and sitting around before any order was placed. Typically when I order nicotine from a vendor, it takes 2-3 days alone tfor them to process and batch the order (which they combine orders, I'm sure), and then it will ship. This ensures fresh nicotine every time. I would much rather wait a couple days and get clear, fresh nicotine than receive what is in the photos in my original post.

Offer 100mg/ml in PG as well as the VG blend you already carry. VG nicotine is very difficult to work with, hence why most DIYers I know use nicotine in 50vg/50pg or just 100% PG as the carrier.
I have a bottle of this stuff... im fairly new to DIY so its the first bottle of nic i purchased and i used a little over half of bottle, as this shit lasts forever when your only mixing 1.8ml per 30ml, so doing the math the one 60ml nic bottle should last me for 33 bottles of 30ml (over a 3 month supply for personal use). the smell it gave off to me reminded me of a nicotine patch, almost identical. So I assumed that was normal. The nicotine I got looks identical to the picture they have on their website... its slightly amber-ish coloured like this>>> http://www.vapewild.com/100mg-concentrated-nicotine/ And I mix my nicotine so light that it doesn't really sit too heavy in the mix to kick off any flavor... I did ask on this sub and was advised of a different vendor to use when I purchase more nicotine. I will probably still use vapewild for VG and PG though unless I find someone else cheaper, or am given a good reason not to... As far as the nicotine, Im not sure if i should pitch the shit in the garbage and just buy some new stuff now, or use it up then worry about purchasing new... what do you think OP?
If it works for you and doesn't taste bad, there's no reason to toss it. There are definitely better vendors for all of your DIY needs, though. Nic should be clear. The fact that they advertise with a picture of oxidized nic is a little odd.
It's definitely oxidized. It's supposed to be clear. I used it, and there is definitely an off note due to the oxidation. If it works for you, use it. It's cheap, but there is no need to waste. If the next batch they send is the same, I'm going to be a bit upset, but I'm not out a fortune. I typically use Wizard Labs, and have always had good experiences with them. They're honestly around the same price, so I would check them out. The last I looked , 120ml of 100mg/ml nic was $15 something at WL.
I got some flavoring from WL and OSDIY. I'm gonna try WL for my next nicotine purchase. Please do make an update and keep us informed how your replacement order goes. I really want to take a guess whatever u got is exactly the same as what I got. Another thing to mention, when I shake the bottle before use, it leaks a tiny tiny bit. Few drops that I clean off, I'm wearing gloves so it's no big deal. I wish it was PG and not VG only because I obviously know I need to shake the shit out of it and that's when it leaks.
