i was wondering if there is a reliable Way of Tasting your Aromas and your own Mixes before actually putting them in the Base and letting it steep. I know that you can make 5% mixes and try them right away so you can learn how the flavour tastes and how it tastes after steeping on its own. But i currently dont own a dripper and i really dont want to fill my tank with some horribly bad Juice that im gonna throw out right after. So : Is there a way to taste you aroma without vaping it ? For example if i put like 3 drops of Strawbery and 2 drop of Green Apple in a 50ml glass of water and drink it, is it going to remotely taste like the Juice that i would get when mixing like 6% Strwaberry and 4% Green Apple ?
Not really. Sure you'll be able to taste whatever you put in the water, but that's not the same as vaping it. If you want to know what it will taste like when you vape it, you're gonna have to vape it. Simple as that. Get yourself a cheap dripper or a smaller tank like a 22mm Griffin to test things. I like using a dripper and a tank. When I put a new mix into a tank, I'm forced to vape it till it's done and it gives me a longer opportunity to figure out what's going on. You can't really cheat in this hobby.
Yeah, water can give you a decent idea sometimes, and others be a terrible idea. I tried some FLV Alpine Strawberry in some water and it completely blew out my palate with chemicals, but put it in a vape at a small % and you get a real nice strawberry. Water/Coolwhip can give you an idea of what the taste will be like, but the chemicals that make up the aromas may taste vastly different on your tongue than translated to aroma via vapor.
I put my new mixes in my work setup so I can vape it through the day. I am firmly convinced that you can not judge a juice properly till you have vaped a decent amount of it. Some that I loved at first taste I was sick of by the end of a 4ml tank and others I was not initially impressed with I was in love with by the end of the tank.
There are like, $10 RDA clones everywhere that you can get as a tester. That's the only way you'll accurately know what your vape will taste like.
Even the Sapor RDA is great. It was actually my favourite RDA until I got this DotMod. And it's only like, $15 at my b&m so I reckon it'll be even cheaper online.
Tasting in water or back of the hand taste tests are a good way to get a general idea of single flavours, but that's about it.
I found a great deal on Tsunami 22mm's so I bought 5 @ 17 bucks each. I use them for tasting only and in single coil mode. They use only tiny bit of cotton and rinse clean in seconds. I like using the same RDA, same coils and cotton to compare iterations of a recipe. Overall I have way too many tanks all with different recipes in them. To keep track, I use color coded vape bands. What kind of tank are you using?
Aspire cleito with the 0.4 Coils.
If you had an rta I was going to say you could just drip on to the coils and cotton and attach an empty tank. You wouldn't get as many pulls before redripping as you would with an rda but it could get you by until you got and rda. But with a regular tank this wouldn't work
Get a derringer.
Check out bridgeless atomizers. Only a few bucks and similar to drippers but no wicking or coil building required.

Hello ! I've asked kind of the same thing some time ago except i was ready to vape it but not changing 100 time the wick. So if you want to try some vaping solutions here is the modest monday thread about it with the according podcast too.
I've also read somewhere (probably in the sidebar) a way not to mix 5 or 10 ml at a time for each flavour. You need to have the same kind of dropper bottle tho, as the drops need to be aproximatively equal (they never are but at least you get close to it). So if you want to try let's say FA Fuji, you put 1 drop of it and 19 drop of your base and you get FA Fuji at 5%, the maths are simple (flavour drop count/total drops ; in our case 1/20 = 0.05 = 5%. for 4 % 1 drop flavour + 24 drop base = 1/25 = 0.04 = 4% etc... ). If you can't manage to have same bottles, just use pipettes.

Wow thx :) Yeah rewicking is also something i dont want to do that much as soon as i get an Rda, dont get me wrong i liked building on my little Rba Base for my old Mod but rewicking for each flavour is a bit to much hazzle for me :) Im not a natural englishspeaker too so i dont care :)
Yeah if i remember correctly, you could use wickless build (but there are limitiations and it might not be the best for flavour) with a fused clapton coil you can hold 2-4 drops and have an idea of your flavour. You can try half wick which is wicking but just the size of your coil, it goes faster. Some say dilute in water but i don't recommend it.
To be honest i anyway do 10 ml as i want to try my flavour after 1, 2 and 3 weeks steeping.
