Ive been searching high and low across the interweb for a Seneca clone recipe but to of no avail did I ever find any luck in that. Nobody has ever even discussed this idea.
I decided to try some percentages based off how prominent I thought certain bases were in the original flavor, topped with 1.5% Koolada and after a day of steeping I instantly got that Seneca rush I've been praying for!
Anybody else ever experience this with your own personal clone attempts??
Honestly, and apologize if this sounds like a thread derailment, but I'm done with clone recipe chasing. In particular, because most of good original liquids in my country are too expensive (and this just kills the whole idea of vaping for me). Of course it's always a kinda good exercise to both your taste receptors and perfumers skills, but what I do these days is just take a shot glass of water and drip a few drops of this and that (a little imagination required) until I get a result I was looking for. Then I mix using 1 drop = 1 flavor % formula...
IMO, cloning does suck... Not that I've tried a ton of new commercial juices lately, but I've become frustrated with one and have basically given up due to the potential amount of sugar syrup and sweetener that is probably in it. (Beard No. 32 if you care) I'd rather come up with my own tasty juice than waste $100 on flavorings just to find out they aren't right and become stumped.
Yes, indeed. I just nailed Liquid State Apple Butter on the first try, and I've only not made a recipe thread because, well, notes? What notes? I guessed, nailed it (at least for my palate and that of the 5 other I let try it). I mean, I'm as novice as they come, but I'm REALLY damn happy with the results.
Ok, instead of formatting, here's the ATF link.

Please feel free to provide criticism, as I have an awfully muted sense of taste. I was a 4-5 pack per day smoker, and 6mos later, hopefully my taste buds are starting to recover.
I'd like to try it as well.
I'm heading home as we speak, once I'm on a PC I'll give it a shot, as I've never posted a recipe, and don't know a thing about reddit formating, especially on a cell phone.
Care to share the recipe which turns out great ?
- Grape Juice(TPA) 6%
- Koolada 1.5%
- Pineapple(TPA) 3%
- Watermelon(TPA) 1.5%
Let me know what you think!
I've had bad luck with TPA Grape Juice even though I want to like it. Do you find it perfume-y at 6% in this recipe or do the pineapple and watermelon help calm that down? I'm writing this down because I want to try it.. Thanks for sharing.
Its really all about how well rounded your pallet is with the flavors you are using. If you know what you are tasting a close to duplicate wouldn't be hard to calculate. Basically your teaching your tongue new tricks each batch.
This is the way I look at mixin and i've been doing it for around a year now. I'm still expanding my recipe collection and trying not to buy many new flavors and just use what I have, so one day I will be as good of a mixer as the cook i am. That took 10+ years in the industry so i have time :D
Holy shit dude. You're my savior. I've been searching high and low for this recipe. I go through a 250 ml a month of this stuff and now I'll be able to indulge instead of holding back.
Quick question though. Have you tried it with menthol instead of koolada? I haven't mixed this yet but I always thought Seneca (colden now) was menthol.
You're welcome man, I was in the exact same boat as you!
Im almost positive that they use Koolada in the original Seneca because in my opinion its just a cool exhale instead of a strong minty one.
You'll have to try my recipe out though and let me know what you think!
Alone, dude, this is one of my favorite recipes, ever!!!! I did mix 30ml a few weeks ago, tried the bottle last day and Im still amazed, delicious, amongst my top 10 or top 5 liquids atm. Thanks a lot, really, thanks (just a note, I did reduce the koolada to 0.5 or 0.7, 1.5 seemed too much for my taste)
Thanks man! So you thought the recipe was pretty good other than the Koolada percentage?
Trying to clone another juice is über boring IMO
I wholeheartedly agree with you, Its much better to create your own recipe that's dialed in to your flavor preferences.
Its just in this particular instance I was hoping to recreate my personal favorite juice so that I would never have to pay premium prices whenever I crave it. And I achieved it!
I think there's always going to be premium flavors that people love from their early vaping days and every once in a while its nice to be able to recreate that nostalgia.
I totally agree. If the same energy was put into making amazing original recipes we wouldn't need to bother with clones. Whatever floats your boat at the end of the day, but I don't ever buy commercial juice- not even as a reference. Just take that energy and try to make something original with it. I was having a good time making a doctor pepper "clone" the other day though (koolada, cherry blossom, black cherry, and French vanilla came very close to nailing it- just need something for the carbonation, and a "brighter" cherry, which could also just be a touch of strawberry)
Make sure to post if you find a good carbonator! Champagne is good but so sour that it's very limiting.
