Setup: Plume Veil RDA; dual parallel @ .40Ω; cotton wicks; 45W
Testing: TFA Champagne @ 3%; Aged: 13 days
Flavor description: Sort of a mildly flavored white grape type of table wine. No fizziness like you'd expect from the name, but somewhat reminiscent of flat champagne.
Off-flavors: May seem a bit yeasty at higher percentages. Missing the fizzy champagne sparkle.
Throat hit: 2/10 Pretty tame on the tongue too.
Uses: Since it doesn't really provide effervescence (at least to me), I would suggest it as an accent to other fruits, or as a sort of emulsifier to help meld sharp flavors together.
Pairings: Grape, apple, citrus flavors, or any other fruits you might expect in wine.
Notes: IMO, not an overly strong flavor, rather boring by itself. FA Liquid Amber or FA Brandy at lower percentages might work as substitutes in a recipe if you don't have this one in your stash.
EDIT: As /u/apexified stated in my recent discussion about this flavor, FW Pink Champagne might be a better option for a fizzy note.
That's odd because I get fizzy at just 1%. Maybe it's a placebo and my mind just expects it so I feel it.
there's no fizz in vape!
Oh, but there is a fizzy tongue feel that can be had. I will be trying TFA Champagne soon but have had good results with Sparkling Wine(INW)
Thanks for the review. I considered this for the carbonated portion in my Orange soda
I ended up using Sparkling Wine(INW). I'd be interested to see the results in the above recipe.
Shit I just got this one specifically for effervescence, glad to see you back doing these things man.
I put this on hold for a minute and now all of my tester's seem to have gone stale getting the same kind of chalky note from all of them.
Real flavors ginger ale have a decent amount of effervescence.
