Received some new flavors from Flavorah on Friday so this is shake and vape but good for a first pass. I tend to start low and then punch up the flavor notes I want to focus on so you'll note the ratios are low. With that said this is very promising as a base that could be used to pull out some distinct notes especially if the Red Raspberry and whipped cream were punched up a bit or you could go the other way and punch up the Raisin Rum. I'm tempted to add some Blueberry and punch up the Whipped Cream. At the moment it reminds me oforganic wheat bread (where you could taste the sugar from the wheat) I'd buy fresh every day with raspberry jam and butter scraped across the top and then scraped again. Its very earthy with subtle sweet and sour notes. Overall rich and toasty - would go great with overly sweetened coffee.
Fried Dough (Flavorah) 2% Bread and caramel serves as a really nice base if you like to call emphasis to specific sweet notes.
Red Raspberry (Flavorah) 1.5% My new favorite Raspberry. Tastes Real.
Rum Raisin (flavorah) .5% Spot on Raisin Rum. I don't like a lot of alcohol notes but this is a good mid tongue flavor that when used sparingly should work well to make your juice have a little more organic touch to it.
Whipped Cream (Flavorah) 1% Flavorah seems to work magic when it comes to their cream flavors and this is no different than their others.
EDIT: I start my first flavor mixes at 60/40 and adjust from there.
Hey great recipe, would love to hear your notes on FLV fried dough. A lot of us have been trying to replicate that fried effect but FA Joy doesn't seem to cut it. Wondering what your thoughts are on that.
It's the first time I've used it. I need to mix some up on its own before I can comment since this recipe has a lot going on in the way of flavor notes. I chose it because I thought it would have add some body to the mix and carry the other flavors well and it seems to have done that. I'll follow up in a few days after I get some mixed and steeped.
Glad to see some of the new FLV flavors being used. Any chance you've tried their donut? If someone made a donut concentrate that didn't taste terrible I'd be so happy.
Also, it sounds like I have to get their Raspberry now.
I have not and unfortunately I didn't order it this round. My last order was full of hard choices and I chose the fried dough over doughnut. I just got 19 of their flavors that are new to me last week and I have to give them all a try before ordering anything new so its going to be a while.
It's the most vile flavor I've ever had. Straight yeast. Sour, nasty, potent yeast. One drop will destroy a 30ml batch.
