I don't remember EVER saying it was an exact clone or anything close to that. I deleted it because of private message threats I was getting on a FB group. Because I deleted it in that group, I was told I would be kicked out of that group if I posted it elsewhere. Rather than deal with the insanity, I deleted it everywhere. Again, I never said my clone was 1:1. I have my NOTES here. No where do i say that.

I can assure you no one told her she was going to be banned from that group. Wayne and I are admins, along with two others (I'm not sure if they want to be named publicly, but I trust them both) and we wouldn't ban someone for petty shit like that. I'm not saying she's lying about the ban threats, but I know for sure it wasn't from the DoD group admins.
I fucking hate FB... I wish Wayne would start up the DIYorDIE Reddit group again, or get a damn forum going on his site (there actually quite easy) or something.
I'd love to be a part of the "community" of DIYorDIE since I am a subscriber, and I listen to his podcasts. But I killed my Facebook account years ago dude all the bullshit that comes with it. But from the sounds of this post, I'm not missing anything..... and FB sounds to function just like it always has.

No, it was a few different simultaneous varieties of FB drama, which I'm embarrassed to say I played a part in.
I think reactions to language in her post were misunderstood or misinterpreted and it became a whole thing, and she just backed out rather than navigate the dangerous waters of our community's peculiar "charm." (Completely acceptable, given just how aggravated it became, given it was her first recipe post, AFAIK - and a decent one.)

I never said it was an exact copy. Never said "exact" or "1:1". Someone asked me how much Sucralose is in the original Milk recipe. My answer(not exact words) was 'If I knew how much was in the original, I would know the original recipe. And I would just post THAT!'
