Let's talk about TFA Champagne.

Trying to help out /u/Tiptup300 with his list of flavors that add texture.

So we've all read that TFA Champagne is supposed to add fizziness and carbonation to a mix. Has anyone actually experienced that? I personally have only gotten a cheap white table wine taste from it. Sort of like a really weak version of FA Liquid Amber. I haven't successfully gotten a carbonated sensation from it though. What are your experiences? Steep time, % in a mix, complimentary pairings, etc? Anyone care to review it for the wiki?

I get a carbonated sensation from FW Pink Champagne. It's become my goto for that. I have TFA Champagne but haven't tried it.

I have tried using TFA Champagne a few times for fizziness. I had some success when using it at 1% in citrus and fruit mixes since those flavor notes mask some of the grape/wine notes in the champagne flavor. Otherwise, I also taste bum wine. But hell, maybe some vapors might like that... if so, here is some inspiration for ya; http://www.bumwine.com/

FW Pink Champagne sounds like it might be better. I think I might try that too.

I've only used it in http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/215112/Sparkling%20Apple%20Peach%20Wine which I really enjoyed but it was one of my first mixes and have nothing to add beyond that. Basically what I'm saying is this comment is completely useless and if you've wasted this much time reading it I'm truly sorry not sorry.

Hmmm, glad I wasn't expecting anything fizzy cause mine isn't either. I have 2 actually, sparkling wine & champagne, both mixed with grape

I kind of use it like vanilla swirl for booze. Might be a placebo effect, but it adds a bit of volume and the bum wine flavor hides really well in other stuff like Gin and Citrus.

I figured the carbonation thing was gilding the lily a bit (like everyone's insistence that their recipes are "sprinkled with" something), as I don't see how you would actually get effervescence out of a vape. It'd be more of a flavor association thing.

I've got recipes that use it for body in a cocktail type of vibe. I''ve got an example here which has it all the way up at 5%. I used it bulk up a recipe that tasted kind of thin without it.

Caveat here, I could be 100% wrong here but just my super subjective take on it.

I have used it in some juices (champagne + almond + strawberry) and while it was good, never got the 'carbonated' effected that's raved about it.

Same thing here. I've tried using it to get the carbonated sensation but no luck. At 1% I thought I was getting it faintly so I bumped it up and got, as u/KG3D said, bum wine.

Unfortunately I haven't tried TPA champagne and I am thinking about ordering because I really wanna make a fizzy lemonade flavour. Something like a clone of this. I am pretty sure I can taste a little bit of cola flavouring so I wonder if some cola flavours bring up the fizziness.

I've tried it in increasing increments up to 2.5%, and I never got the fizzy aspect, just a stale, gross wine flavor.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the majority here, I have experimented with TFA champagne extensively, and for me it definitely does not provide a fizziness like many say. It has a very unique flavor that IMO is not complimented by anything I've mixed it with. It's really nothing special....

So I was planning on grabbing some of this to add to a cherry cola I'm working on but I don't think I'll bother.

Has anyone found anything that does add a carbonated feel. What about TFA pink champagne?

I wouldn't say it's a true carbonation feeling, but a very subtle tingle on the tongue. It's not super noticeable but I don't think it's a placebo. Just my two cents.
