Nicotine solution smells after storing for ~1.5 weeks?

This has happened with nic from 2 different vendors. I've been storing it in the freezer, only opening when dosing from my syringe and have been keeping it in the plastic amber bottles it was shipped in. It's hard to describe the smell. Maybe something like a faint sourdough? Does anybody have this issue? I don't know about taste yet. I'm going to make a flavorless batch once I use one of my bottles to test the flavor.

You aren't supposed to inhale your nic fumes.

it's only 48 mg/ml. I think it's fine. And it's not like I sat there inhaling it. I took a quick whiff of the vg/pg/nic to see which one was offensiive.

All nic has some hint of smell, even pure pg and vg do. Starts off as sourdough rising, then morphs to horse cum, then finally into a packet of smokes soaked in a barrel of pepper water

My NN has fully embraced horse cum status. Thanks for the reassurance. :) It really overpowers the smell of my flavors, though.

If it's actually overpowering your flavorings in a mix, then you have a problem. Nic should have a faint (idk, hard to describe. Uhm... Nutty?) smell to it, but when diluted and used in a recipe, that shouldn't really affect it. How exactly are you storing it?

The NN stuff certainly did, and my wizardlabs nic has a faint smell, but the jury is out as far as if it will get worse. I keep it in the same plastic bottle it came in, with my pg and vg, in a plastic shopping bag in the back of my freezer.

Mine had that slight sourdough smell as well, from NN though. I think its fine because I don't taste anything off

As long as it isn't putting an off taste when you vape it I see nothing wrong with it

That honestly sounds kind of iffy if it doesn't smell like nicotine. If it was me I wouldn't use it and would purchase from someone else.
