I posted last week about making better software for the DIY community. A little update I have a team of about 5 professional devs signed on for the project. First meeting is this weekend :) At any rate I had an idea today. One of the cool features of the new site will be recipe iteration. The idea is to have a recipe you're working on and branch off trying different things and whatever work you merge into the main recipe. Rinse Repeat Profit. The idea I had today was what if you could specify percentage band for a flavor or flavors that you wanted to experiment with and the application would automatically generate a handful of flavor percentage combinations for you to try. You could lock all but one or generate percentages for all flavors. The application could also tell you if you're trying to make a batch that had a mix you've already tried. Thoughts?
i use a Combinations and Permutations Calculator for all may flavours, delete all the ones that will be shite (watermelon cheese cake and stuff like that) give the 5% juice a score for how strong it is then go through the list choosing which will be the dominant flavour. if you could automate this it would be perfect
