Flavor Properties

This flavoring is bitter, and bright, with a complex, savory, and spicy, combination of sassafras, and sarsaparilla, like a good old-fashioned root beer should taste.

I definitely get a woody, and earthy note, along with a rich and juicy all around fantastic root beer flavoring.

Relatable Flavors

Remind me of homemade old fashion root beer done right with dry ice.

Position In The Recipe

This is a great base flavoring for a root beer recipe. I don't see it coming into handy as an accent, or background note, but really haven't tried playing with the flavoring at low percentages.

Off Flavors

The flavoring is strong and can be overpowering, and I know this is not a off Note but it definitely needs a little vanilla to balance it out.

Pairings

Other Cola flavorings, vanilla, creams, ice creams, and I could see it working with a few very sweet fruits, like apple or pear, may also work well with tobacco, and spice flavorings such as cardamon.

Recipe

Recipe was an attempt at root beer float that turned into something else. I have been enjoying this recipe lately and don't feel like it needs to be changed, but would love any suggestions on how to get to the root beer float from here.

Excellent thanks , i think it's better than Capella's and some other Root Beer's out there .

Tasty Puff's Rasta Rootbeer is supposedly the cream of the crop but not mentioned much.

I love FW Root Beer. To get a little more mileage from mine I add a little FW Sassafras, TFA Wintergreen, and a much smaller amount of FA Anise. FW Black Licorice works well as an alternative to FA Anise, and is also incredibly potent.

I love this root beer! Very nice and spicy. Haven't worked much with it but it makes for a darn good vape. Gonna have to give your recipe a try, ty brother.

Will do. Hmm, yes and no. I landed a spot mixing in a lab that fulfills production on some local commercial liquids, but am not really mixing up any of my own recipes except for on my free time. They have me experimenting with some flavorings from a company I've never used before (Delosi) which is both interesting and a challenge

Thanks for the write-up, I'll have to pick some of this up. I've only really messed with TFA root beer float, which is pretty good, and the TFA root beer with triacetin, which is complete taint and should be avoided at all cost. I do love a simple root beer with menthol recipe to get the flavor of those little barrel candies, so I'll give this a shot on my next order.
