Relatable Flavors - Tastes like sweetened coconut milk that's used in coffees, teas or desserts.
Off Flavors - Slight playdoh taste to it but can be easily masked when you mix it with other flavorings.
Position In The Recipe - This is an accent flavour. At 2%, the coconut is vaguely discernible. If you're mixing with this, advice would be to go with 3% and above. As a standalone, 5% would be a great starting point.
Pairings - cream, tobacco, bakery, cakes, fruits, coffee, tea
End notes - Not to be confused with INW Coconut Shisha, this is INW's standard coconut. This flavor nails the creamy coconut milk aspect of it. I'm fairly certain no other flavoring does this as well as Inawera. If you're a fan of coconut flavorings, this would be a perfect addition to your arsenal.

Personally I was not impressed with INW Coconut, I found it to be incredibly dry and harsh, also had barely any coconut flavour and no creaminess. It tastes like they have blended the whole coconut complete with husk, so in that respect it is probably an authentic coconut taste, but not the taste you want.
Your description sounds like it describes FA Coconut (which is a light and creamy coconut).
Are you mistaking it for the other coconut by any chance? I was lucky enough to take a sniff test and the other coconut flavoring that I smelled is exactly what you're currently describing.
My bottle just says "Inawera Coconut" (I assume it is rebottled by the vendor I buy from).
I was unaware that there are more INW coconuts (aside from INW Coconut & INW Shisha Coconut).
This sounds so different than my experience with this flavor, I don't know whether to chalk it up to "taste is subjective" or suspect I got a bad bottle. Single flavor testing, it wasn't all that smooth, dense, thick, creamy, or sweet to me, when compared to other coconuts. If you made a scale with coconut water on one end, coconut milk in the middle, and coconut cream on the other end, I'd place it somewhere between water and milk.
I did get a weird off taste single-flavor testing at 2.5%. It was not the same Play-Doh taste as CAP Glazed Doughnut, I imagined it was like having a bit of the brown hairy fibers from the outside of the coconut in your coconut milk. I did find, as you said, that it could be easily masked when mixed with other flavors, though. I've been playing around with coconut-lime combinations and the lime completely obliterated it.
When I mixed it 2.5% with 1.7% FA Distilled Lime, overnight steep, all I could taste was lime, but after steeping for a week, the coconut came out quite a bit. It was way more than vaguely discernible and tasted similar to Sonic Ocean Water but with too much lime. My next planned version of it is 2% INW Coconut and 0.75% FA Lime Distilled and I expect it to have plenty of coconut flavor. Edit: typo
Ah sorry to hear about your bad experience with this, so far I have only tried it as a single flavour. I will have to make more notes when I start making it with other flavours. Next goal: strawberry cream cake with coconut milk drizzle
Your review seems to be true to my tastes.
The INW version also seems more "fruity" than FA's to me.
