Switching from FA - Butter to CAP - Golden Butter. Do-able? What ratio?

I use FA - Butter in some of my favorite mixes, but just ran out. When I re-ordered, BCF wasn't carrying FA - Butter so I looked around on here and google and decided CAP - Golden Butter was the best replacement BCF had.

Well, the flavorings just arrived and I was going to mix up a few batches, but I realized I don't know how much CAP - Golden Butter to use. Thanks for any advice!

Butter is at .75-1.0% in the mixes that use it, with those mixes generally being between 9% and 15% total flavoring.

For example, my Strawberry Crumble is:

>4.2% - FA - Red Touch (Strawberry)

>2.5% - FA - Cookie

>1.5% - FA - Whipped Cream

>1.0% - FA - Vienna Cream

>1.0% - CAP - Vanilla Cupcake

>0.75% - FA - Butter

I'd say to try it out at the same %, maybe a touch higher. I've only used the CAP Golden Butter in one other recipe (lmn# by /u/RuntDastardly) and it was in there at 1.5% so that might be a good starting point. Paging /u/RuntDastardly for some input! It's funny that comes up because I'm actually vaping it right now lol!

You're going to have to test at different percentages anyway to find which works best for you since they're not the same and will change the recipe. For the record I'd start at 1%

I wish I had a concrete answer to give on this one, but where CAP Butter seemed perpetually sold out when I started DIY, then was quickly discontinued, I've been subbing with CAP Golden Butter ever since, that's the extent of my experience with it.

I've heard people say that CAP Golden Butter is just a reformulation of CAP Butter, therefore the same, and I've not seen any comments contradicting this, so, I think you can sub at the same percentage, though I think /u/Tamachicken is right about starting at 1%, instead of .75% as it seems very mild.
