Hey, Ruthless EZ Duz It On Ice has been my ADV for ages and I have been trying to clone it since I started mixing a few months a go. I've tried all of the recipes on ELR and from various threads on here, made about 10 mixes, some of them are pretty nice but not that close enough that I can stop buying it! I've made some Jungle Fever and Rise recipes which are pretty close, but having a lot of trouble getting this one right.
The Ruthless one is 85% VG, and I've read in a few places that they use Capella sweet flavourings so this is where I'm at currently:
- Sweet Strawberry (CAP) 4%
- Sweet Watermelon (CAP) 4%
- Koolada 10% (TPA) 2%
- Menthol Blast (KH) 2%
- Creme de Menthe (TPA) 1%
- Dragonfruit (TPA) 1%
- Coconut Extra (TPA) 0.5%
- Super Sweet (CAP) 0.5%
This is quite nice but not close enough, I'm sure that I'm either overcomplicating it or missing a crucial ingredient.
Any advice would be much appreciated! Cheers
I don't personally like ruthless Ez duz it but combination of Watermelon and strawberry sounds interesting so I decided to take my attempt at it. First batch I mixed
TPA strawberry Ripe 5%
TPA Watermelon 5%
And it taster very close to Ez duz it. Then few tweaks and revisions later I ended up with this
TPA strawberry 2%
TPA strawberry Ripe 4%
TPA dragonfruit 1%
TPA Watermelon 3%
TPA cucumber 0.5%
And I really like it, more than original Ez duz it. If you have those flavours you can try mixing it and who knows, maybe you'll like it as much as I do. Add some Menthol or coolada after for your liking.
Have you tried this one?

Seems pretty close to yours.
Yeah tried that one, think mine is a bit closer with the the sweet Capella flavours. It might actually be the creme de menthe that isn't working in my recipe, will try swapping that for something else.
I haven't tried EZ Duz It, so I won't comment on the flavors... however, that 2% of Koolada could probably be deleted. I find that Koolada mutes flavors without adding much of a cool feeling at all. And at 2%, that's quite a lot of Koolada.
Creme de Menthe is basically Peppermint with Vanillin. I also find that Peppermint masks flavors when used over 0.5. I would try to stick with one, single cooling agent instead of mixing a bunch together. I personally use TPA Menthol at 0.25 - 0.33 and it gives great cooling without overpowering the mix.
Thanks for the advice, I didn't know Koolada mutes flavours. I have some TPA Menthol so will try that on it's own. The reason I was mixing cooling agents to 5% is that the On Ice version is 85% VG and the original is 90% VG, so guessed that's what the extra 5% flavouring was.
I also have not tried the flavor youre talking about, but if you mentioned they use capella's flavors. I suggest trying Capella's cool mint, its pretty strong but adds a smooth sweet mint taste that might be what your'e missing. I also notice that rutheless uses quite a few FW flavors as well, have you tried FW watermelon? Its pretty potent compared to their other ones and its very candy like and sweet.
Hiliq.com has a cooling agent. It has no menthol taste to it and is just pure ice cold in ur mouth when u vape it. I first found this type of flavor from bakers and they called it ice cold. I was thrilled to find it at hiliq. It's great and I personally do not like Koolada. If u do some searching u can find a free shipping coupon code for hiliq.com on a different forum. That will save u like $15. They're nic is really good and clear as well if u decide to get some cooling agent.
