Does adding the nicotine after steeping affect flavour compared to adding it before steeping?
submitted about 9 years ago by PaisleyBowtie

I tend to make my juices nicotine free, and add nicotine for friends or special occasions, does nicotine make a difference in the steeping process?

How about other additives, like koolada or sweeteners?

I've tried before and after and never noticed a difference. I only add afterwards if I'm experimenting new recipes

In my experience nic acts as a catalyst for certain flavors in steeping and has no affect in others, the NN citrus slap steeps 5x faster with box than without. But their chai tea seems to be unaffected. Dunno why, could be wrong and crazy but that's just my experience.

Nic, no. Koolada, never tried doing this but probably not much difference. Sweeteners, depending on which one, may need a day or two. In all cases, especially with nic it needs to be mixed extremely well before anyone vapes it though, to avoid hotspotting.

It's not going to alter the flavor or steeping but you do need to shake it up really were before use so you dont get any nic hotspots
