I've been DIYing for a couple years and enjoy it. But my collection of flavors is enormous and getting out of hand.
I noticed a post a while back about Liquid Barn's Strawberry Cheesecake and made me think that if I ordered pre-mixed flavors then it would cut down drastically on the clutter. Considering labor day sales could potentially be right around the corner, are there any recommendations for a pre-mixed flavor base from an online vendor? I'm not sure "pre-mixed flavor base" is the correct term... maybe "flavor blend"?
I plan on trying Liquid Barn's Strawberry Cheesecake and Rainbow Sherbert. I saw OSDIY has something called "Blue Note" that might be interesting.
Well I don't personally know of any other than Wayne's but you can always make your own with whatever recipes you like the most!
There is a button on ELR to convert a recipe to a flavor base.
Hope that helps.
Maybe I'll do that so I can clear out some of my stash to make it more manageable. Thanks!
Gremlin diy and Mount Baker are my goto's. OSDIYS does have some good stuff as well.
What does OSDIY have that's really good? When I need to resupply my Blue Raspberry Slush I'd like to get some other things just to try them.
I bought the wild cherrylicious from OSDIY and its pretty good... it was an impulse buy when I was searching for that elusive cherry sans chemical taste. It's pretty good, and can help compliment fruit mixes. I think that one and bing cherry FLV are the best cherries I've tasted so far.
I really enjoyed their root beer and pink lemonade.
It's funny. As much as I enjoy a good root beer, I can't say I've ever felt the desire to vape one. I don't know why, I want to vape Dr. Pepper, Coke, Cherry Coke, Cherry Vanilla Coke, Lime Coke... but root beer flavored clouds just don't sound good to me. Pink Lemonade, on the other hand... I'll give that one a try. Thank You.
That may have been my post about LB. LB Strawberry Cheesecake is my ADV and has been since I got it two weeks ago. Absolutely fantastic flavour. Their Lava Cake smells incredible but as it's a chocolate I'm giving it a good 2-3 week steep before trying it.
If you're in the UK then Vampire Vape sell their concentrates as do T-Juice. Can't comment as to how good they are, but they're a regular that I see about when buying my bits and bobs.
I think concentrate is the word you are looking for. I guy I work with buys 250ml premixed base, takes 30ml out and tops it up with a 30ml bottle of custard concentrate.
If you can find a flavour you really like, that's the best way to do it, and when you have 30ml of room in your bottle throw the rest back in. It's not going to make any difference.
To the OP, you're doing the right thing. Pre-mixed is far too often ignored, and mixing from base flavours is a rabbit hole. You can always add a bit of base custard or strawberry to something you quite like.
Now this makes me think... didn't a user botboy a while back make standalone flavor blends for sale? I think he was ahead of the curve. I'm envisioning my DIY gear to be 5 big bottles of pre-mixed really good tasting blends, a bottle of VG, PG, and some nic. Maybe a syringe or two. I could put everything in a shoe box! Ha!
Ok so there is that adore e-liquid company that is being heavily and shamelessly promoted by fresh03 and gang, they sell concentrates. There is also Wayne and his concentrates. However, if you don't want to make these people richer, and want to save some money, there is a lot of flavorings by FA, INW, and RF that would be considered complete flavor profiles, and would be cheaper than the above mentioned concentrates. I can list some for you if you like, lemme know.
Damn that adore eliquid is expensive. I knew by going the complete flavor profile route I'd have to pay a premium, but $17 bucks 30ml for something that requires 15-20% flavoring seems a bit pricey.
I knew you would see the light eventually. So here goes:
FlavorArt (FA) makes: Aurora, Cocoon, Eclipse, Euphoria, labyrinth, metaphor, Morning Sun, UP, WOW, Pandoro, Hypnotic Myst, Forest Mix, the list goes on .. here
I recently discovered Lemon Cake by Inawera (INW) .. it's stupid good. They have a line called DUETS which includes dual flavor mixes like cherry-mint, apple-lime, strawberry-chocolate.. here
Pretty much anything from Real Flavors (RF) is a complete flavor profile. Examples: Cookies and Cream, Cherry Pie, Cinnamon Custard, Boston Cream Pie, Bread Pudding, Strawberry Milkshake, and lots more. here
Nude Nicotine makes fantastic flavors, which don't get a lot of attention, because most of them are premixed blends that don't really work in many multiple flavor recipes.
I haven't liked all the flavors I've tried (even really well done pineapple is still pineapple, ugh,) but they've all been well-balanced and very much as described! I highly recommend them to anyone wanting single flavoring mixes.
I just mixed up a batch of DIY or Die's Honey Dewwey concentrate with some 3mg VaporBase and it turned out perfect first try! I think premixed concentrates are going to start gaining a lot of popularity in the mixing community pretty soon here. It probably took me two minutes to make this using a scale with the 30ml unicorn on it.
