INW/Inawera Creme Brûlée [creme brulee] review
submitted about 9 years ago by bobbysavageResident Tobacco Specialist

Ok so I bought a sample Of this from bullcity about a month ago. They were out of INW's new custard flavor so I tried this. Since then I've ordered 30ml of the creme brulee and was able to get a sample of custard along with hangsen ry0.

On to the review

Inw creme brulee: I use it at 3-5% in 50/50 or 70/30 and this shit is delicious. Tastes like burnt sugar caramel flavor, semi thick eggy (not so much as FA meringue)custard, with a sweet well rounded vanilla flavor blended somewhere in the middle.

The vanilla is sweet and almost fruity in a sense. I almost taste something that like FA mango or coconut on the exhale. They might share some constituents in small amounts. The flavors are all blended together well.

I think trying to disect and analyze every nuance of this one doesn't do it as much justice as just telling you this is a kick ass creme brulee flavor that's a lil heavy on the caramel IMO. I Think it's worth the price and that you should also pick up INW custard to blend or appreciate separately. I've been vaping creme brulee with nicotine for weeks and love it mane

I'm working on another RYish type recipe using this but time is a bitch as is redditing on my phone

Yeah I like this one a lot, but the burnt sugar can be a bit much at times. I think I had only tested it at like 1% so I will try bringing it up a bit higher since I wasn't getting a whole lot of flavor from it. I've tried it in a recipe that used it though and the vape from it was glorious.

I'm vaping 3.33333% haha (1ml in 30) the caramelized sugar flavor is almost too much at some times I agree. I think blending this with the custard flavor may yield the results we seek.

I haven't even tried that one though so this is all conjecture. I'll get back at this point in the future.

I also may Be building a. Tolerance to this flavor and tasting some constituents more than others

Glorious is an adjective that definitely fits

You son of a gun! I have something in the works with this ingredient. It's really awesome. I tested it at 1.5% and I'm getting that slight eggy flavor, with a good amount of burnt sugar/caramel, and a ever so slight hint of citrus (maybe orange or lemon). Overall it's really good and it's got that "wait, am I tasting something new in this?" factor that keeps me coming back for more

Yea it's a really good just by itself. I have really high hopes for just the straight up custard flavor, it seems close but different.

Oh I got this flavor 2 months ago and made a melon brulee recipe with it. Turned out super delicious after a good long steep. It still needs a bit of tweaking before I post it but I will get around to posting it eventually.

EDIT: I just remembered this was the one I made while drunk and didn't hit save on the recipe. I will be re-creating the recipe soon and am hopefully it will be even better than my original.

Keep us posted, I'm intrigued.

I've totally lost some great recipes I made while drunk. These types of situations are why Google glass looked enticing aside from price point. Hmm I think raspberry has a similar kit...

Sounds like a complex flavor. I want! The caramelized sugar note can find a place in a lot of different applications; not just the obvious creme brulee. Flan comes to mind, too. I've never seen a flan juice....Or candied nuts/almonds/walnuts...hmm.

Also......Hangsen ry0? What's the story on that one? Is it more tobacco? vanilla? caramel? I'm an ry4 fanboy, so I'm very interested; I've never heard of it. And INW's tobaccos are usually pretty on point. Any plans to review it?

For just a single flavor it is complex. That might be why I like it soo much, definitely plug n play. 6-12 hrs and its tasting good in 50/50

I'll get around to reviewing the others when I can. I think jungle flavors Fuji is up next based on my flavor rotation. Can't wait

I cldnt find too much on hangsen ry0 though. There is a review by /u/slapofthebass in the mega tobacco review thread I think. I dont have the concentrste right in front of me and haven't tried it so I can't comment on it At this point in Time

Fwiw it didn't seem like an instant trash

I taste a bit of chlorine in the exhale on this one. It's so weird.

Hmm I know you arent a noobie, have you ruled out gear or wicking?

I have a concise way of testing flavors, yeah. You find subtle hints of fruit, I find subtle hints of swimming pool. It's not bad, just... weird.

How long for steep like 2 weeks? Testing this shit now. SnV leaves much to be desired but I assume this is a long steeper for sure.

Whats the ratio?

50-50 seems better after a couple days. However that's always the case. Higher VG i would expect more downtime.

The burnt caramel flavor does die down a bit. I have a bottle thats 48-72hrs old and expect it to be decent by today or tomorrow. A week or two might better.

I think my palate was fukt when I tried it day 1

50-50 ratio for me. Always. Cuz bacco lol.

I made a tester last night and tried today but I know it was too soon. Will try again in a few days.

Thanks for info :)

Haha 50-50 can evolve, really fast.

I also noticed sometimes after I change wicks I have to drip like 3-4 times for the flavor to come through. Prolly a bit too much cotton or not enough time.

Idk if the color change happens with no nic on this one, but when the bottle goes from clear to a bit lighter than the gold concentrate its good.

If you wait too long it goes red. I think that's the nicotine, but YMMV

by tranceinateabout 9 years agoIn a good mood for now - don't piss me off.

Idk about mango because they don't give off a mango flavour, but coconut could be one of many lactones, which usually add fatty/creaminess in lower amounts, & coconut flavour in higher PPM - like gamma dodecalactone.

I've been meaning to snag this concentrate for over a year, thanks, lol.

by bobbysavageabout 9 years agoResident Tobacco Specialist

That was my first thought and I'm not trying to refute that theory. I think its probably some type of lactone and something off this list (or something similar).

I'm not really into tabacos but today I made some vanilla chai tea with their shisha chai.this stuff is good but really strong.0.5% was just enough to get all the chai spices on top of the cream/milk base

by bobbysavageabout 9 years agoResident Tobacco Specialist

I still haven't tried their shisha line. Chai sounds really good though, thanks for the lead.

Have you tested it in a higher VG blend?

1 points

by bobbysavageabout 9 years agoResident Tobacco Specialist

Yes I normally do 5% flavor in 70/30 for tfv4s.

I Normally don't vape those, but ppl like it after a day or two. My ldpe bottles also allow for vigorous shaking due to the extra space inside.
