I heard this sub is mostly just leeches now but I don't believe it..
What Tobacco recipes are you guys and girls enjoying at the moment?
This is what I recommend to people looking for a easy tobacco flavor. Although a pipe tobacco it satisfies a lot of the elements people look for in a cigarette.. ashiness, a nice mild tobacco flavor while not being too fragrant like a lot of concentrates. Near perfect at 5% although the Vanilla is slightly sharp and the Bavarian Cream smooths it out and adds some sweetness, marshmallow adds some body. Only requires a few days for the vanilla to even off before using.
INW Vanilla Pipe- 5%
TFA Bavarian Cream- 1%
FA Marshmallow- 0.6%
Some others I'm rotating at the moment..
FA Shade- 4%
INW DNB- 0.6%
FA Soho- 6%
FW Hazelnut- 0.8%
INW Nutty Princess- 3%
TFA RY4 Double- 4%
TFA Peanut Butter- 2%
CAP Butter Cream- 1%
TFA RY4 Double- 4%
FA Soho- 8%
FA Desert Ship- 1 drop per 5ml
INW Plum- 0.8%
This 'Nanner Bear Clone by /u/project_twenty5oh1. Fantastic.
I like my tobacco flavs with a punch an no frills. This is my ADV. There's notes if you wanna read more.
I also vape Wayne's Marble 27 for a dessert vape. That stuff is seriously amazing and unlike anything I've had before. If you like RY4 type stuff, try this recipe. It has some frills and tastes nothing like tobacco to me but it's so damn delicious.
Last, anything by Kinnikinnick is well worth a try. He's pretty much a tobacco god at this point.
#BurleyBoys #GarudaGang #FlueCrew ... we ouchea!
This delicious recipe is in my rotation right now!
I am vaping this right now. It's good, and the tobacco comes through in a week or so, but still isn't really front and center.
No the pistachio is for sure the star but the tobacco does come out to play a bit. Really good vape and is def if in my rotation.
Actually it has kinda made me want to attempt a pistachio fluff salad juice.
Obviously not for everyone, but I once had marvelous success extracting pipe and cigar tobacco using a Crock-Pot, and using it as either an entire NET flavor by itself, or mixing it with flavorings. My tastes no longer run to hardcore NETs very often, but I still have some of the concentrates in a cupboard (aging and steeping...maybe they'll get better?) and if I have a commercial juice that is too sweet or one-dimensional, a few drops of tobacco will sometimes set it right.^sometimes
PG or PGA? Been doing my due diligence before trying NETs but it's gonna go down next month I think. Still trying to nail down a good hot extract procedure and PGA kinda scares me lol.
I just use PG/VG, higher on the PG. Be warned, any more than 20% of the concentrate in your juices will kill atomizers stone dead, even after multiple filterings. I recommend it for rebuildables only, not your best sub-ohm tank with the $6 replacement coils.
Ya I'm probably gonna pick up some those micron filters and an aeropress to do my filtering. I've heard about the coil killing. Luckily I only use RTAs and RDAs to good to go on that front. Can't wait to dip my toes in!! Heard nothing but good things from tobacco enthusiasts.
I love this recipe in my AIO. I mix it at 5-8mg strength as my go to when I'm really feeling the urge. Dry, Nutty and delicious Hangsen tobacco. I give you Toto
Ingredient|% :---|---: Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (TPA)|0.5 Almond (FA)|0.5 Caramel (FA)|0.5 Hangsen No.5|7 Peanut Butter (TPA)|2
Flavor total: 10.5%
I was one of those lucky ones that got that Flavorah beta-testers invite about 4+ months ago, but, because I am me, I didn't follow up on it until really late in the game, so the only sample box I got was the very last one the day the FDA regs ruined all the fun.
The good news is I got 2 tobacco flavors in there! (Kentucky Blend & Connecticut Shade - both smell really delicious, but, my instincts are failing me as far as where to start with them) The bad news is that's when all hell broke loose in my life, so I haven't had a chance to play with/single-flavor-test them yet.
I'm getting a few more ducks in a row here before life goes back to normal-ish, so I should be able to test those, but, if anyone has any advanced notes on them, I'm all ears.
Otherwise, /u/cheebasteeba has given me a solid reason to put INW Black for Pipe on my wish list, among others.
My tobacco flavors experience is woefully limited, so, thanks for this post!
I mixed up the Connecticut shade at 1% and it's pretty tasty after sitting for 16 days. It's got this really nice coffee flavor along with a mild tobacco. I'm not too experienced with tobaccos, but it's not bad at all. Could probably bump it up to 3% and it would be solid
Yeah I tested it at 2 and 3%. At higher percentages, the chocolate and tobacco notes come forward a bit after some steep time, but the my palate detects (like you mentioned) mostly coffee. I'm putting it in the dessert/bakery/sweet file right now as I'm not getting a ton of tobacco from it (much like RY4D).
The Kentucky Blend is without a doubt tobacco. It's along the lines of a 555 blend, in my opinion. It's mild; not a dark tobacco, bit dry, very slightly ashy, and very nutty. This is based on a standalone 3% tester (aged only 1 week before tasting, but still steeping right now as we speak/type). Although, this may be one of the very few and rare tobaccos that don't require an extended steep to vape and enjoy (though I'm sure it will help).
Honestly I didn't think I'd like the shade, but I'm enjoying it. Maybe that's because I used it at a low percentage who knows. I'm glad it wasn't like their flue cured tobacco because that one didn't sit too well with my palate.
Can you explain what they mean by ashy for the Kentucky blend? Does it literally have an ashy taste or is that some kind of exclusive descriptive word for tobacco flavorings? When I hear ashy I think of ash tray
Thank you so much /u/goldfish18, this is exactly what I was looking for!
I'm just catching up on things here (hence the late reply), and still a bit too addlebrained to mix anything fancy, but I'm going to make a 3% single-flavor mix of Connecticut Shade while I've got my mixing gear out and see where it takes me after I've tried it.
I've been super wary of tobacco flavors after some (really bad!) early 2013 experiences with commercial juice, but the sniff test of this bottle alone made me super excited to give it a go. It struck me as smoky and leathery and savory, in addition to that coffee note, which is exactly what I was always looking for in a tobacco flavor.
Thanks again for the lead! :-D
Red Burley for the win!! If you didn't get it in the sample pack you can pick it up at a vendor now that they've all been released. I use it as a base in my ADV.
I'm brand spanking new to DIY (ordering my first batches of flavors now), so not much I can contribute just yet. While I'm checking out individual flavors at different concentrations to get comfortable, I am going to try my hand at a couple of the recipes that folks in here have been sharing, and since one of my friends' current adv is Teleos Eight Bells (mild tobacco + smores kind of combo), I imagine that she and I will be playing around in that direction after looking at the two clone recipes found so far.
Thanks for sharing! I was hoping a good tobacco flavors thread would emerge sometime so I could see what's working for others. :)

If you do a Search, you will find several good threads dedicated to Tobacco flavors. I'm sincerely not trying to be a dick -- just offering advice to help you research tobacco mixes, as well as help you avoid any "use the search" flaming. Enjoy!
I really like Apple-bacco by /u/SadPandaVapes. The Butterscotch Ripple and Vanilla Custard fill out the RY4 Double and give it a much nicer vanilla, and the Fuji is balanced well and has staying power even at its low percentage.
If you like apple-bacco, you should give the other apple-bacco by /u/matthewkocanda a try.
Missing the Soho, and my FA Apple and Marzipan are 2+ years old and probably need to be tossed, but I'll throw them on my next order and give it a shot. I usually dislike brown sugar that high, but I love when a recipe can change my view on a flavoring or its usage.
Been vaping this the last few days:
- Shade (FA) 3%
- Soho (FA) 0.5%
- Chocolate Deutsch (FLV) 1 drop per 10 mL
The chocolate deutsch steals the show here, which says a lot about its concentration. You can still taste the Shade however and Soho adds a little sweetness and nuttiness but you could easily do without it. It's also good with a touch of FLV Crème de Menthe.
Btw I guess I have the "regular FA potency" version of Soho because at 3% standalone it's really sweet, full flavored, and in typical FA fashion it tends to hurt my throat. I don't think I could bring myself to mix it at 6% or 9% like in yours or /u/matthewkocanda's recipes.
