Question: Will PG and/or VG go bad if exposed to air?

Hey DIYers, I recently bought condiment bottles to help with pouring VG and PG, but as I opened them I realised the bottles does not have a cap and the content will get exposed to the air, even if the nozzle is pretty narrow.

Is this a deal breaker, or should I be fine storing my PG and VG in them? (with 0 nic)

You don't want VG or PG exposed to air. They both will absorb water from the air and it will ruin your mixes. So yeah... Get new bottles

I use condiment squeeze bottles that have the little red cap that cover the spout, found them on amazon for dirt cheap in 8 oz. bottles. Things work great. Havnt noticed much in the way of them thinning at all in terms of water absorption. Def get ones with caps or make one somehow. Think I paid $10 for an 8 pack

And you guys just leave this like out on your mixing desk or area? Been that way for awhile? Do you taste any difference?

Know vg will absorb shit from the air so not sure about the depth of this but I've read people complaining about leaving VG out and it starting to taste bad. Tried using google to find articles on this to link but I wasn't able to find it. Sure someone could chime in to get into the details of it.

I guess I could just take some plastic foil and cover the tip or something, worst case.

Could work I would still atleast get the dimentions of the top of the bottle and try to find tops either locally or on the internets.

Is that all juice? Like leaving juice in a tank (Max VG) starts tasting funky after a week.

Don't take this the wrong way, but: common sense.

You are going to put this stuff in your lungs. Treat it accordingly. Close all avenues for potential contamination. If this means you're going to have to get new bottles for a proper seal, do it.

You are absolutely right, I was just so bummed when I realised the problem that I wanted to find a easy fix, but I will make sure to find a responsible solution

Vg absorbs everything. Something is gonna get in through that nozzle.
