This is my first recipe post on this sub. I'd like to introduce a recipe that has went through multiple revisions. This recipe requires more than normal amount of flavorings but to my palate it's worth it. Even though its summer, and everyone wants nice and refreshing fruit vapes, you would give this a try.
Cassia, a Sopapilla Casserole Dish Nothing should be substituted, because I've tried every substitute.
The Base: Capella Cinnamon Danish Swirl, Flavor West Cinnamon Roll, TFA Brown Sugar Extra I wanted a nice and baked cinnamon that gives a caramelized mouth feel to it. Cinnamon Danish Swirl gives a very nice and thick base to build this foundation on. Anything above 3% to me just tends to over power the mix and at that point, no longer contributes to any recipe. Cinnamon Roll is there for the exhale only. Much like Yellow Cake, it has only contributed to the exhale and clean finish of a recipe. On its own its a very empty flavoring and lacks any real substance or effect. In this recipe I use it to clean up the CDS, to keep that heavy cinnamon in line, and end on the exhale and not cream any lingering aftertastes that I hate. Brown Sugar Extra Is here to assist both of these flavors, and create a fried component that I couldn't have achieved with anything else.
The Body: Capella Sugar Cookie, Capella Vanilla Custard V1, TFA Bavarian Cream Unlike the base of this recipe, I do want this body to carry slightly on after the exhale and provide the general mouth feel of the vape. Sugar Cookie by now everyone has this flavoring and it is an absolute staple in this sub and furthermore to any DIYer. Sugar cookie tones down the cinnamon of my base and carries it on to give the entire recipe a baked feel to it. Vanilla Custard V1 assists the sugar cookie and I use it to fluff the recipe to prevent it from becoming tiresome and paired with Bavarian Cream sets the precedence to how this entire recipe begins and ends.
The Finish: Inawera Shisha Vanilla, TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream Towards the end of my process of creating this recipe, the baked cinnamon exhale was getting very stale to me. I decided to add a sort of icing to it to aid the existing creams I had in the recipe. To accomplish this I used the holy grail of vanillas, Inawera Shisha Vanilla. It finishes perfectly, but again to my palate, it is an empty flavoring when used in this recipe. To help assist I used a small amount of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. These two together transitions the finish of the recipe from the thick, cinnamon bakery to a very clean and polished vanilla icing.
The Recipe, Cassia
Capella Cinnamon Danish Swirl 3%
Flavor West Cinnamon Roll 2%
TFA Brown Sugar Extra 0.75%
Capella Sugar Cookie 3%
Capella Vanilla Custard 3%
TFA Bavarian Cream 2%
INW Shisha Vanilla 0.75%
TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 1%
I would appreciate if you would try this recipe, and like always I welcome any feedback from people that actually mixed the recipe. You can get in touch with me here, or on Alltheflavors, on which I go by Myztik
I saw this on ATF and mixed it because it looked good, I had most of those flavors out anyway mixing a cinnamon roll recipe, and I've been meaning to try to make a sopapilla cheesecake vape that would be a similar but simpler profile (based on a culinary recipe that's just canned crescent rolls, cream cheese, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar).
Cassia tastes terrific! It's like a sopapilla or biscuit tossed in cinnamon & brown sugar and then topped with vanilla ice cream. Hits all the right notes after steeping for 15 days. I will likely steal from this when I get around to trying to make sopapilla cheesecake juice.
Thanks again for trying the recipe. It's hard to get anyone to mix recipes coming from mixers who have never posted before. I'm just glad that you liked it.
Mixed this up a couple weeks ago while browsing ATF as well. Very good recipe! After I ran out of the 30ml tester I made I went on ATF and couldn't find it. I was glad I took a screenshot of the recipe on my phone, and now I'm even more glad you posted it up again because this is a great recipe man!
> the holy grail of vanillas, Inawera Shisha Vanilla.
Sorry, mate, but that title belongs to The King, Holy Vanilla.
Motion seconded.
Somebody bang a gavel so we can put this to an easy vote. Not that Shisha Vanilla isn't good.. but "holy grail?" C'mon, Holy Vanilla even has holy right there in the name. For good reason.
Looks great, but as always one flavor is missing :( Any acceptable substitution for cinnamon roll, yellow cake maybe as you mention it in the notes?
"Nothing should be substituted, because I've tried every substitute." sorry, saw that now...
This is the bane of our existence it seems, always one flavor short. Fw cinnamon roll is quite unique and plays a major role in the recipe. If you change one flavor, it's no longer optimized and is a totally different recipe. If you want to sub yellow cake for the cinnamon roll, I'd suggest raising the CDS up to 4% and adding yellow cake at 1. Hope it helps
If I try this recipe, it won't be this recipe as the closest I can get is using Holy Vanilla in place of Shisha.
