I think it tastes weird before it steeps, although I'm not sure I would describe it as bitter. It does take some time to steep, like a week at minimum, I'd give it two for full potential.

Have you tried using it at a lower %? Too much of any single flavouring can cause unpleasant notes.

If that and u/Paleone123 's steeping suggestions don't work for you, it's possible you might be sensitive to the flavour and you'd be better off finding an alternative.

None is required, especially not for the three you mentioned specifically, but many will improve over time. Your best bet is to try them fresh and then put them away to steep for a while and try them again in three days, a weeks, two weeks and observe how they change and how long of a steep it takes for them to taste the best to you.

Rule of thumb is that most fruits won't need a steep. Creams on their other hand take a week or longer

Watermelon, lemon lime. Your question is exactly why people DIY. They want what tastes good to them and the only way you are going to find that is by trying everything you might think tastes well with mint/menthol. Go buy a bunch of flavors 10mL or less of things that you think would be great with mint/menthol and give them a try.

Same here, I really like shisha strawberry. So I ordered shisha raspberry and shisha vanilla, still have to cook something up tho, not really helpfull atm.

If you're making small bottles, a 10% dilution will make it easier to use 0.25% or less.

yes, what you are suggesting would creat eliquid, though it might not taste very good. I would suggest reading through all the links in the sidebar, researching popular flavors, and buying PG/VG Nic separately. Although this process requires a few more steps, it will allow you to make a much more wide array of liquid.

NicotineRiver has good prices on NicSelect, which is pretty good quality, even if not quite as good as CarolinaXtract.

I've been very happy with CarolinaXtracts nic. It isn't that much more expensive than other good options either, not including the shipping. I bought the 120ml 100mg 'sampler' from them and it has lasted forever but I do 1.5mg.

The dropper they include with their 120ml bottle is really nice. I was worried it might leak a bit when shaking like some juice bottles with the droppers can. Never had a single issue with it.

The shipping does suck but when my nic runs out I'll be paying them their high shipping cost again. There might be other coupons out there but I know Dada1 gets you around 7 or 8% off the regular price, not shipping.

I can't answer the nicotine question, but I can say that I prefer my juice out of a glass bottle, much like I prefer my cocktails. I can't say for sure that a plastic vessel necessarily changes the taste, but for some reason I definitely prefer it to be in glass for my consumption. (e-juice or whiskey) It's probably mostly in my head, but I can relate to what you're saying.

Have you tried breaking your 120mL down into a 15 or 30 mL glass dropper for everyday use? For my ADV, I pour my large batches out of their plastic containers into 15 or 30 mL glass droppers for use. See if that makes any difference maybe.

I use All The Flavors.

Make a copy of the previous version, rename it, usually something like Recipename Version 1.2 or Recipename V3.2, make your adjustments, and save. If you're smart you'll use the notes section to describe why you're making these changes. Later, you can go back and search your recipes for "Recipename" and all of your V's with be there. As a side note/request, please keep the recipe private until you think it's perfected. Nobody wants to see all your V's, just the best one after all your experiments are done.

Noting that I know of specifically for juice, but you can do this with Evernote, or really any of the calculators.

I use the eJuice Calculator from the sidebar (I think it's still the third one down), and it has a notes area that I use for this. I just do like a commit note every time I make a change like this:

19AUG16:1130 - reduce Flavor X by 0.5%

Or whatever change I'm making, so that I have all of my development notes right there whenever I pull up the recipe.

That first part is date:time(24hr). I also keep my tasting notes in there with those so I know why I made whatever change.

Only prob with that is, the nic level your base is will not be the same in your finished product. If you use recipies that have different total flavor percentages it would be difficult to take flavor percentages into account when mixing your base. (One recipe has 8% flavor and another has 12)

Also since flavors usually use pg as a base it would be hard to keep your vg/pg ratio the same.

It should actually be reasonably easy to do this - and keep your volumes/ratios in order. In whichever mix calc you're using, plug in all of the variables/percentages/etc for your PG,VG, NIC and flavors - then add up the (ml) amounts for PG, VG and NIC and that's how much of your pre-mixed base to use for a given recipe.

Just mix it in the bottle. But yes, theoretically, you could mix it in anything.

Any air flowing in my room when I mix will cause the scale to jump around. I'd shut the scale off, make sure there are no fans or AC on, make sure the scale is on a flat even surface, calibrate it, then see if that helps.

I don't think most local places will sell much more than basic kitchen scales. These prob won't have the .01g accuracy. I know I looked target, walmart, and bed bath and beyond and they just had .1g accuracy scales

It's not very clear what you're trying to do. Are you missing some of the flavors but trying to get something close? What are you working with? If something is overpowering at a certain amount then use less of it. Maybe 5 drops per 10ml or even less.

I always roll with 2 tanks when I go to work. I fill one up with something before I leave, and bring a bottle or 2 to put in the other one if I run out throughout the day. I think you will find that the more you mix and sample single flavors, the better your recipes will be for a solid ADV.

Everything gets shaken up and mixed together afterwards so it really doesn't matter when you add each component.

I don't know anything about the syringes. One would assume the measurements account for the tips but if you mix by weight you could get rid of those syringes

Agree with edible, plus came to say that you can never have enough empties. You didn't say where you are making your first order, but Bull City has good quality ldpe in 10ml and 30ml, and a 50 pack of each is cheap enough. I picked up the new 120ml PET bottles they are stocking now, along with the yorker spouts. Very nice, as they are square shaped, very compact. They are exactly 120ml tho, with no headroom, so I have been making 100ml in those.

If you have 80/20 and you want 80/20, then you should add 80/20. With 100ml and 3% flavor you have 3 ml of flavor. You want that 3ml to be 2% of your final mix, so 3ml/x = 0.02, or 3ml/0.02 = x = 150ml for your final mix. So add 50ml of 80/20 to your 100ml.

Look up each of the flavors you'll be using either on here, atf or elr and start by trying them out in a mix together at their recommended percentages. From there adjust to your liking
