Story: Ive been DIYing for just under 6 months. before I started, i loved the entire Telios line including one of their more recent additions, "the cookie". it's described as a grainy sugar cookie with caramel syrup drizzled on top. About a month ago i bought a bottle, only to realize it contained enough sucralose to give you a cavity. months of mixing juice without sweeteners has made me sensitive to additives. So I set out to create my own version sans sucralose.
Recipe:
%2 Cookie FA
%1 Biscuit INW
%3 Sugar Cookie CAP
%2 Caramel FLV
%2 Butterscotch Ripple FW
%1 Vanilla Custard FLV
Notes: The base: CAP sugar cookie is definitely the main components in the base here, its a buttery soft sugar cookie that hits the exact spot we're looking for in the recipe. It lends its texture and mouth feel which immediately hit you on the beginning of the exhale and continue throughout until the end. Cookie and Biscuit add the grainyness to the cookie, they flesh out the base and contribute what i can only describe as a crisp edge on the outside of a perfectly cooked sugar cookie. Caramel, butterscotch ripple, and vanilla custard contribute to the top not, the sweetness, the mouth feel, and make up this predominant notes at the end of the exhale. FLV caramel is my favorite caramel right now, to me it is close to a caramel syrup that you'd find at a local ice cream parlor. In conjunction with FW butterscotch ripple we have a very sweet, slightly heavy caramel glaze. This combo, generally at equal parts, is used in many of my recipes to give a heavy soft caramel sauce. I used FLV vanilla custard to mend the two profiles together. I originally was using CAP V1 custard, but it was too buttery and got lost in the cookie(even at low percentages). To me vanilla custard by FLV is just the right amount of buttery eggyness, in small amounts it seems to glue the two profiles together seamlessly without muting or turning things funky, really only adding a hint of silky smooth vanilla.
Steep:
This juice definitely needs at least a week for the cookie to blossom past the caramel and for everything to mend together. best after 3 weeks.
Disclaimer: THIS IS NOT A 1:1 CLONE! if you prefer the sweetness of the original try adding sucralose at %0.5 and go up from there.
Edit: formating
It must be cookie day. Third cookie recipe I've seen and mixed today. It's a good day.
I have sugar cookie on the way, finally. & JF cookie/biscuit, & some other JF & other things. I just need JF yellow cake nowwww. It's a good week for cookies.
Still can't believe you made it this far in life never having it.
Assuming these are percentages. You need some formatting in there
Dang, only have FA Caramel and FW Butterscotch (not ripple).
Maybe I'll go from here with yours and see what I can Sounds delicious.
Seeing as how you like Teleos, ever get around to a clone of The Milk?
Did you mix it with FA caramel? Wondering how it would work, also thinking about trying it out with INW Creme Brulle instead of FLV caramel
This is one of my favorite cookie juices. I just started working on the same thing last week myself. I always start simple and build from there. My first attempt was an attempt to get the cookie and caramel in the ballpark but I haven't worked on it any further.
I went with
CAP Sugar Cookie 4.5%
FLV Caramel 1.25%
Vanilla Swirl 2.5%
It's not close and while ok, it's not great, but at this stage I didn't expect it to be. I think if I merge some of your ideas into it, especially the butterscotch it will be better.
