Recipe: Peachy Colada
submitted about 9 years ago by cloudstatevapor

It is has been balls hot for the last 2 weeks so I wanted to work on a Pina Colada with a twist. I have been reading a lot about people having a problem with peach and I usually have the same thing. I have also tried this with Flavor West Apricot so if you have a sensitivity to Peach you can use that, however I have not had the harsh throat hit with this recipe.

(TPA) Coconut Extra 1%

(CAP) Golden Pineapple 2.5%

(TPA) Pineapple 1.5%

(CAP) Juicy Peach 3%

(TPA) Dragon Fruit 1%

If you want to make it more like a Colada Float add 1-2% (TPA) Vanilla Ice Cream.

Coconut Extra: I kept this really low for a Pina Colada because sometimes coconut extra gets really weird for me any % over 1. I think this percent gives it just the right amout of tropical note without overpowering the rest of the flavors. You can taste this mostly on exhale.

Golden Pineapple: I really love this flavor it is one of my favorite pineapple flavors. I tried to keep the percent lower so as not to overpower the peach completely which is supposed to be the star of this recipe, but I also wanted to overpower the peach slightly so as to take away part of the harsh throat hit.

Pineapple: This is just to throw in that more sweet pineapple that I think TPA brings to the table. Kept it lower for the same reason as the golden pineapple.

Juicy Peach: This is what I was most scared to use in this recipe although it was my challenge to make peach work for me without so much of a throat hit, that is why even though it is supposed to be the star of the show it is still at only 3%. It gives more of just a sweet peach candy taste mostly in the mid to exhale, but no throat hit which I am pretty proud of. As I said above you can do apricot instead if you still have a sensitivity to the peach.

Dragon Fruit: Finally, I threw in 1% of Dragon Fruit because it just rounds out all of the fruit flavors and it tones down the pineapple just a bit and from the research that I did, some people claim it takes some of the throat hit out of the peach.

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream: I personally enjoy it with and without the ice cream, but if you are someone who likes a more creamy vape with your fruit than the ice cream is for you. I know everyones taste is different so experiment with it on your own and find what you like.

I think I will make this tonight! Love any recipe that tries to tame the juicy peach!

I don't think it will make too much of a difference. Let me know what you think!

Made it last night, tried it today for the day. Very good. Unfortunately I spilled my last 5ml's of tfa pineapple, so I had to swap with INW pineapple. I miss that tfa tang! I happen to love tfa pineapple, I know many people don't. The INW+ Cap mix nicely, but it is surely a little more subtle than if it had the tfa. I think this could support some mango or other fruit easily. But this is an awesome summer vape, if I make any tweaks, I will let you know!

Have you tried TFA Pina colada? It's pretty amazing, creamy and coconutty

Agreed. I did try it in the first batch but it didn't tone down the peach at all which was the goal of this recipe.

So I've boasted about how Juicy Peach doesn't affect me (TFA, I don't have CAP). I've used it at 7% in some recipes and it was smooth.

So I thought I'd up it a little in this recipe to almost 4%

Pure. Throat. Destruction.

Maybe there's another culprit, but I don't think it can be anything else.

Tastes good though.

Glad you like it though. I kept it at 3% because the same thing happened to me at higher percent too. Forgot to mention that in my notes. I think it is how it reacts with another flavor that makes it killer at any higher than 3
