Since the post the other week about simple recipes I got curious. What's your current favorite 3 or less flavors recipe that you keep in your regular rotation? Doesn't have to be one you created, just plain delicious. Shake n vape or steeped.
Shitty sugar cookie
Cap sugar cookie 5%
Cap vanilla custard v1 3.5%
I hope it's not shitty lol
It's not 10 out of 10 but it's good. I've only had about 20ml. Might be a touch eggy but maybe I'm crazy.
My ADV has been:
5% TFA Juicy Peach
5% TFA Strawberry
.5% TFA Sour
The Juicy Peach is the star in this recipe, it really comes through. The Strawberry helps to balance things out a bit. The JP was causing me to cough and was almost unvapeable, until i added the Sour. The Sour does come through a little bit but also calms down the harshness of the Juicy Peach.
I have a similar mix going right now. Replace the TFA strawberry with TFA Strawberry Ripe and drop the peach down to a 3.5 and you have one I have been vaping off and on for a bit. i love the juicy peach but can only vape for a bit before it hurts my throat too much even at low %.
Manner by /u/altneurose. Vanilla wafer/cookie with lemon creme. Suprisingly good for a 2-ingredient recipe.
4% INW Biscuit 1% INW Lemon
Is this a decent wafer flavour or is it more cookie? I've been looking for a wafer flavouring for a new recipe I'm about to try..
More on the wafer side but has grainy notes. Similar to ice cream cone, but lighter. INW Biscuit becomes very buttery at higher percentages, which makes up the "creme" part in this recipe, at lower percentages (1-2%) it isn't nearly as buttery but still distinctively so.
Mint Chocolate (Chip) Ice Cream
- 3% Creme De Menthe FLV.
- 1.5-2% French Vanilla Ice Cream HS.
Sub any ice cream at its appropriate %. HS is pretty strong & and also pretty buttery, which doesn't come through much here before a 3/4 day cure, surprisingly. Pretty solid shake & vape still while the butter note calms down more. I still think I prefer TFA VBIC.
You can also add more chocolate & a small amount of fresh cream FA (.5%) for more complexity.
How about the original Nana Cream clone?
7.0% TFA Strawberry
5.0% LA Banana Cream
2.0% TFA Dragon Fruit
Mix at 70/30 vg/pg
I'm going by memory, but I believe that's it (might be 3% DF?). Was the first recipe I tried when I got into DIY...and my current ADV, a slightly more complicate recipe which I've tweaked to my own tastes, definitely started with this recipe at its core.
EDIT: dragon fruit is 3%.
Recipe credit: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/49573/Bombies+%2527nana+cream
This one, for whatever reason, started out tasting great and then started to basically taste like...steam, I guess? What might I have done wrong?
Ohh boy you guys. Just switch out that dragon fruit for 2% TFA Quince.
I can't remember where I saw it, but I switched to this version well over a year ago. Citric acid murders your coils, and using Quince actually gives a MORE intense flavor than citric acid ever did.
My coils can last for more than a week vaping this- no baked on coil gunk either!
Yeah, last time I think I used 1.5% DF, 0.5% Quince and 1.0% apricot (also dropped strawberry down to 6% to maintain same flavor %) ... Turned out really well. I also prefer not to use citric acid.
I posted the "original" recipe here however, since it fit with the theme of this thread.
EDIT: fix values after checking my recipe notes.
Do you know if the recipe works with strawberry ripe or only the regular strawberry?
Strawberry ripe will taste more 'fake' and most likely you'll have some alcohol taste to steep out. Otherwise hey man give it shot if its all you got!! But also consider picking up some plain strawberry on your next order,
I use it way ^too ^^much ^^^probably..
Yup, I'm brand new and just made this. DF is listed as 3% normally. 2nd time I made this I dropped all percentages by 20 (I.e. from 15% to 12% total flavoring, ratios the same) and really don't notice a difference yet.
Don't forget the citric acid. It's really important, it lifts the flavours and fills them out a fair bit.
Any idea how much one should use in this recipe? Never used citric acid before.
Does it work with strawberry ripe?
You could always try it out in a small batch.
I don't think it would be bad, necessarily(?), but would probably make the strawberry a bit too prominent for the flavor this recipe is trying to achieve.
Besides the well known Mustard Milk
- *6% TPA Strawberry Ripe
- *8% TPA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
There was a recipe on ELR I found when first starting mixing called Strawberry Haze (would link but on my phone) it's basically a strawberry cheesecake but it's pretty damn good after a 1-2 week steep.
All TPA:
- Cheesecake (Graham Crust) 6%
- Strawberry Ripe 8%
- Vanilla Swirl 2%
EDIT: formatting
Drop the percentages ever so slightly to:
- 4% TPA Strawberry Ripe
- 4% TPA VBIC
And add:
- 1% INW Shisha Strawberry
And even a little sweetener if you fancy but it's not a must. It's fairly close to Elements Strawberry Whip if you've ever tried it. Very nice smooth vape.
Dude... damnit dude... everything that I've found for this recipe says it uses regular strawberry not strawberry ripe. Why didn't I check before I ordered a 4 oz bottle...
Oh no you're good man no worries, I have no idea why I put ripe instead of regular. Though I've vaped it with ripe and it's still good. I'll edit this post later. Sorry for the stress!
OK, none of these recipes are exactly mind blowing, but all vapeable. I mix these at 70VG/30PG and 3mg.
Mustard Milk Mod
6% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
6% TFA Strawberry
1% FA Fresh Cream
Compared to the original Mustard Milk this has less of the thick VBIC flavour and more prominent strawberry. Reminds me of a strawberry sundae from McDonalds at times.
Strawberry Melon Freeze
3% Strawberry TFA
3% Strawberry Ripe TFA
3% Watermelon TFA
2% Koolada TFA
OK, this is four ingredients, but if you don't have both strawberries (you should!) just use 5-6% of the one you do have. Tweak the percentages to your liking, hard to go wrong with this combo. You can drop the level of koolada but I wouldn't go over 2%.
Extreme Ice
3% FW Extreme Ice
Wintergreen, mint, menthol and a high level of cooling. Kind of basic but slightly more interesting than straight menthol and a nice change when you've been vaping a lot of complex stuff. You'll want to adjust the percentage depending on how much you like menthol and your device, 3% is a good starting point.
Candy Cane
10% FW Candy Cane
Another nice, simple, minty vape without being menthol-y. This flavour concentrate is true to it's name.
Banana Waffles/Cereal Milk
5.0% TFA Waffle
4.0% TFA Whipped Cream
0.5% TFA Banana Ripe
I was aiming for banana, cream and waffles, but this ended up tasting more like the milk left in the bowl after cereal/muesli with brown sugar and banana.
3.0% FLV Strawberry
1.5% FLV Vanilla Custard
1.0% FLV Blueberry Muffin
Even though the strawberry is the highest percentage ingredient, to me this is more like blueberries with some light bakery notes in the background. Probably the only blueberry vape I've been able to enjoy. It doesn't have that meaty, floral character that a lot of blueberry juices can have.
I have a few.
Currently, my standalone favorite is FLV Mango 4%. I've probably gone through 120ml of that in the past month. It used to be FA Fuji 3%. My favorite simple fruit recipe is of course, Strap-On: 2% FA Fuji plus 3% each FA Strawberry and FA Watermelon. Half the time I'll add one other thing to that, but the other thing varies.
This one has a very regular spot in my rotation, My Simple Sugar Cookie recipe: CAP Sugar Cookie 8%, CAP Vanilla Custard V1 4%. It's the one I usually add extra nic to for those super-stressful days.
I also enjoy my SBIC, which is nothing more than Mustard Milk with the %'s swapped. Great Shake N Vape.
Simple as can be and my all time favorite summer mix when im lazy or hung over.
Ocean water
Lemon Lime CA 10%
Coconut FLV 1 drop per 30ml
Another One is
Forest Fruit FA 4%
Lime Tahity distilled FA .5%
Black Currant TFA 2%
#Franken Juice v2.5
> 8% Berry Crunch (TPA)
3% Fruit Circles with Milk (TPA)
4% Strawberry (Ripe) (TPA)
found this on ELR. I'm fairly certain it's an exact clone of one of my favourite breakfast juices that I picked up at the first vapecon in Toronto two years ago, who disappeared off the face of the earth, shortly after. which was weird, because they were like the big shit at the con with everyone I talked to. tastes mostly like no name froot loops.
#Bavarian Orange :
>2.5% Bavarian Cream (TPA)
4% Orange Cream (TPA)
2.5% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA)
my first own recipe. not exactly mind blowing, but it's tasty. kind of like an orange creamsicle. you can shake and vape it, but the orange will come out pretty harsh. best to give it a couple days.
#Watermelon Chill
>2% Koolada 10% (TPA)
5% Watermelon (TPA)
tastes like watermelon bubblegum.
Now i gotta add some cereals to my next order... I only have FLV crunch cereal. oh have you tried adding a touch of raspberry to your Bavarian orange? it would probably turn it into a nice raspberry creamsicle. I love those.
hm. that could work. the last time I placed a flavour order, they gave me 3 ml of TFA raspberry that I've been wondering what the hell I can do with.
so I'll try that.
A variation of "serially easy lemon bar" by /u/skiddlzninja
"
Serially Easy Lemon Bar
Oh yeah, here's the recipe:
4% CAP Italian Lemon Sicily
6% TFA Bavarian Cream
2% CAP Graham Cracker
Add 1% TFA Sweetener or equivalent sucralose dilution if you so desire."
I've been subbing a blackberry flavor (not sure who makes it) for the lemon sicily, and it's damn good.
10% RF Cherry Pie
So delicious and surprisingly complex.
- Lemon Sicily (CAP) 4%
- Sugar Cookie (CAP) 6%
And now this reminds me I haven't mixed this in a long time. Tastes just like a sugary lemon cookie. My mouth is watering thinking about it right now.
I've been trying to make a good sugary lemon cookie for a long time. Is it really this easy?
Yep
I'll definitely give it a try - CAP Lemon Sicily is already on my list of flavors to buy very soon because of Skiddlz's Serially Easy Lemon Bar (another profile I've taken jabs at a few times but not succeeded). Maybe my entire library of other lemons just weren't the right lemons for these jobs.
Vanilla Chai Latte: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/741027/Vanilla+Chai+Latte
CAP Chai Tea - 7% TPA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 7%
Is there a big difference between capella's chai and TFA's chai?
I have /u/botboy141 & /u/ID10T to thank for this, but this recipe is a lemonade made with actual lemons and very little sugar, which is how I like my RL lemonade:
3% INW Lemon
1% INW Lemon Mix
Koolada to taste is a nice touch, too, and /u/ID10T also has a killer Chik-Fil-A Frosted Lemonade variation using this base.
Finally got a chance to mix and this is AWESOME. I've been trying out a ton of lemonade mixes and they were all too harsh, I bought the flavors for this recipe and smelled them when they came in and I knew this recipe was legit. Funnily enough I was listening to Doug Stanhope's Sicko album while mixing this up, and saw in the comments just now that you are into Stanhope as well. Thanks so much for this incredible recipe, I can stop chasing lemonade mixes now.
I'm so glad you like it, but, really, I can't take one iota of credit for this magical 2-ingredient recipe. It's all /u/botboy141 & /u/ID10-T's doing. It really made me feel like I could stop chasing that lemonade unicorn, too. Plus it satisfied my lust for a tart-n-tangy vape. It's really magical stuff.
As for Stanhope, man, what can I say?! I absolutely love him. "Beer Hall Putsch" might be one of my favorite comedy hours of all time. He gives me that same "Us vs Everyone" feeling I got watching Bill Hicks, even with the same uneasy; "...wait, maybe he's talking about me!" wince of self-doubt.
Have you read his book "Digging Up Mother: A Love Story"? Elvis fucking christ, it's good. I recommend it without reservation. What a read!
As for his other recorded sets, you can't go wrong with "The Great White Stanhope", "Deadbeat Hero", "Before Turning the Gun on Himself", "From Across the Street", hell, any of 'em, really.
Sorry, I just comedy-nerded out on you so hard. Here, let me get that; blots at your shirt with a tissue.
Yeah, I actually own all his albums and a dvd as well. My favorite bit of his is tied between Scared Straight off of "Something to Take the Edge Off" and Keynesian Economic Theory As Applied To Private Sector off of "Before Turning the Gun On Himself" every time I hear them I still laugh as hard as I did when I heard them the first time.
I didn't know there was a book, thanks so much! I actually just finished up a book last night so I was wondering what I was going to read next. I've just bought it for my Kindle, I'll start it tonight. Also <3 Bill Hicks, that man was a national treasure. Don't worry about geeking out about comedy with me, I still bust out my old Richard Pryor dvds and laugh like crazy while my husband looks at me like I'm nuts, no shame.
I'm so happy you liked the Frosted Lemonade!
Loved it! Will leave a review on ATF as soon as I can. (Just added a link to the Frozen Lemonade recipe, which I couldn't do before on mobile)
Thank you!!!
I've got the FE Lemon and CAP Butter to mix that lmn# now but haven't even tested them yet (I hate mixing with something I haven't tested yet). And I got sidetracked from my mission to get the latest round of flavors tested by a mango. Mangoes have a way of doing that.
Speaking of lemons, I also grabbed some JF Juicy Lemon. I recall asking you to please not tell me what you wanted that one for... If you remember, you can tell me now, please. The CAP Lemon Sicily for Skiddlz easy bar will be on my next order, and then after that, I think no more lemon party for this old guy. Enough is enough.
sweet mango (cap) at 9% is one of my all day vapes.
Sweet mango smells reminiscent of pillow drool to me at those percentages. I envy you.
Recently I came up with this recipe for my girlfriend and now I've been vaping this for 2 weeks straight
4% (TPA) blueberry extra
1% (TPA) cinnamon Danish
1% (TPA) Bavarian cream
It taste very similar to Madhatter I <3 donuts
I was chasing a blueberry yogurt similar to The Schwartz Downside but got busy and gave up. I still mix up some of my "starting point" and keep a tankful of it with me. Not exactly what I was aiming for, but pretty good.:
8% TPA Blueberry Wild
4% FW Yogurt
Malic Acid to taste (optional)
Can shake and vape but starts to get tastier after 3-4 days.
I really need to pick up some yogurt flavors... also some actual yogurt.
- 4% Flavourart Forest Mix; 1% Koolada
- 2% Inawera Natural Mint; 1.25% Flavourart Vanilla Classic (Madigascar vanilla)
- 2% Inawera Eucalyptus & Mint; 2% Flavourart Orange (Still a work in progress)
Should be noted that I'm strictly a MTL vaper @ 17-20w.
POPCORN BALL
10% TFA kettle corn
5% TFA original carmel
This is my ADV. Works well as a shake and vape. TFA kettle corn is OK on its own, however the carmel adds just the right sweetness.
Tfa original caramel contains corn syrup, btw.
dang it. That was my fav. caramel...
4% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
Shake and vape.
Bombies nana cream clone. Simple as hell to make, and one of the only recipes I mixed that turned out any good.
Banana Cream (LA) 5%
Dragonfruit (TPA) 3%
Strawberry (TPA) 7%
Why does everyone forget the citric acid...
>Citric Acid - As Bombies himself told us on this sub, citric acid at 1 drop per mL brings out fruit flavors and makes them "pop." Here, I'm adding 1 drop per mL to a finished bottle. The citric acid is an additive on top of the other ingredients. Mix up the flavorings, VG, PG and nic, then add your citric acid on top. This recipe without citric acid is impressively close, however, adding citric acid pushes it over into spot-on territory. It gives the juice its unmistakeable tang and brightness. It's essential. I no longer recommend using citric acid in this recipe; it tends to mute the flavor over time and isn't very gentle on coils. Up to you whether you use it or not. I personally don't.
Source: fizzmustards post
. 3% INW Am4a . 2% INW Cavendish
So simple but so complex. Am4a is amazing but a little but too sweet for me so the cavendish balances it out well and adds a bump of tobacco
Is it the "Wera Garden Cavendish Type Tobacco"? If so I have both, I'll give it a try. Btw did you mean 3% and 2% or .3% and .2% ? I'm assuming the former.
Yes, WG Cavendish and you were correct 3 and 2 not .3 and .2. The cavendish is true to the name and has that dry slightly sour bite of a true cavendish so I could see some people dropping it a bit but I love it. I haven't tried it with less than a months steep and it does leave a strong lingering smell in the FYI. If you give it a shot let me know!
Made this this morning and loving it.
Green tea tfa @ 3%
Pomegranate tfa @ 3%
Juicy peach tfa @ 1%
I was trying to find a use for my green tea and found an old post, adjusted a few things and came up with this. Could see this becoming an adv for a while.
I am planning to make a green tea kit kat flavor at some point soon so I happen to have green tea in my cart right now. I may have to mix a raspberry version of this.
This is my current favorite: FW banana nut bread (15%) TPA French vanilla (2%)
You can actually skip the french vanilla, FW banana nut bread is AWESOME on its own. My current ADV.
Man I loveeee FW banana nut bread but that shit is so dark and gunks my coils like no other. I vape FW banana nut bread for a year when I first started vaping 4 years ago. Now it clogs my drippers within a couple of hits.
yeah im using it in my kayfun lite v2 :) been using that atty for 2 years or so now lol but i can't seem to replace it. Now i also don't drip that much to be honest, only to test out new recipes (caus its easier to rewick). I am getting an avocado 24 though... :> but i won't be using banana nut bread in it (thinking about making another sugar rush clone OR unicorn milk clone).
Anyways...banana nut bread from FW really is very nice on its own! It beats nana cream from bombies in my eyes.
Ahh Yeah I'm sure it's not that bad in Kay fun as long as you Re-wick regularly. It's the best tasting Banana nut flavor, tfas is alright but not nearly as realistic on its own. I was really hoping FW would make a color free version though :( Now I kinda want to dig out my old Kayfun! I've been craving a little mouth-to-lung vaping lately !
Vanilla Mint
French Vanilla (MBV) 15%
Peppermint (TPA) 2.5 %
My first batch at 5% the peppermint was way overpowering, but this is nice. I think the MBV Vanilla isn't as strong as some others, so you could probably use less if using a different distributor. I made this for a friend and been using it almost exclusively for a month now, it also blends well with other mixes for a good change up.
Pretty new so all my recipes are simple but this was one of the first recipes I threw together and I was pretty happy with it.
-4% Strawberry ripe (TPA)
-2% Menthol (FW)
-2% Lime Tahity- Cold Pressed (FA)
If I have TPA Menthol what percentage would I use it at to replace the FW Menthol?
I'm pretty new so you might want to do some of your own research but when I went to TPAs site it said they use 340g pg mixed with 660g menthol crystals, which seems pretty strong but then when I was looking up the ratio for FW I couldnt find much so I can't reference from there. I would say just try go with 2% and see how you like it. The fw menthol in their at 2% makes for a strong menthol so not everyone might like that.
Current adv
8% Cap Vanilla Custard V2
4% TFA Bananas Foster
.5% TFA Black Cherry
3mg, max VG
So how does the cherry effect the mix? Btw I have been looking for something to use for bananas foster. Thx!
8% Double RY-4 5% Cinnamon Danish .25% M-Type
My ADV.
Still a WIP (next batch I'm thinking of lowering the Bilberry a bit and throwing in some Forest Fruit), but I've been really enjoying this one. Simple shake & vape:
- TFA Bilberry 1%
- TFA Raspberry 5%
- Menthol/koolada to taste (around .1-.2% menthol brightens up the flavour of the berries without adding a noticeable cooling effect, or bump it up - or add koolada - to get an iced-berry flavour.)
8% Strawberry Ripe
4% Watermelon Candy (TPA)
add menthol to taste
Pretty good simple recipe i came up with. Although the watermelon is really heavy even tho its lower than the strawberry. what do?
INW Vanilla for Pipe 3% INW (Wera Garden) Tobacco Absolute Garuda 1%
Great light tobacco with vanilla and Garuda adds a realistic punch to it. I wanna tweak it and add some cavendish or other pipe tobacco but haven't tried yet. Would recommend steeping at least 2 weeks.
atm i am steeping the following deadly sin clone:
- 5% Capella Graham Cracker
- 1% Capella Vanilla Custard
- 1% Capella Cinnamon Danish Swirl
Gonna try it out on my kayfun once its empty and ill let it know how it is just shake and vape and once its matured more :) I also have to say, it REALLY smells like deadly sin! So i am stoked. I do think deadly sin contains a sweetner, which is the reason why it gunks coils AND why i get a vapor tongue after vaping it for a few days. So this recipe is without it...yeah am excited to try it out :)
P.s. that is the base recipe of the juice, i have added around 0.5% french vanilla on it now, because i feel like Deadly sin does have that vanilla tone.
edit: im vaping on it and i have to say, unsteeped it does NOT taste like deadly sin sadly. The cinnamon is overpowering at the moment. Hopefully after a few days in will steep more and flavors come together. Strange that it also smells less like deadly sin (still a little bit) and i smell/taste something sour (graham crackers maybe?). Awell, i will update if something new happens. For now discard this recipe though, it isn't delivering at these %.
second edit: i have upped graham crackers with 1% and added a snuff of ethyl mantol too it. The results are good, a much better shake and vape experience, a lot smoother BUT the cinnamon is still strong. The sourness has also gone away luckily. I have to say, it isn't a bad cinnamon flavor juice this way:
- 6% Capella Graham Cracker
- 1% Capella Vanilla Custard
- 1% Capella Cinnamon Danish Swirl
- 0.5% ethyl mantol ('a snuff')
This will probably gunk your coil faster now, but the taste is good.
I made it on 50/50 pg/vg with 3mg nicotine and vaping it on a kayfun @0.5 ohm @25wattage (on a iStick 60w temp controle mod from eleaf).
After this tank im gonna wait for 3 days then try it again.
And yes this isn't fully what the OP asked (your favorite 3 ingredient diy recipe), but well i hoped this would become that lol. Anyways who knows, it still might after steeping.
#Black Dick#
You all probably have these two thanks to bombies and bronuts
5% cap chocolate glazed donut (such a great chocolate flavor )
3% la banana cream
Was aiming for chocolate covered banana but got alot more. The donut gives a more bread taste so it has a more chocolate chip banana bread profile. Nom nom nom
I was experimenting with the Rocket Man - One Hit Wonder I tried to make a good clone and now i think i have succeeded! Me my self an i think this is spot on!! But as we all know we all have different teste, someone will think its way off. But personally i think its spot on! :)

Are threads like this really necessary? OP just lazy to search and fishing for recipes
No I search, use ELR and ATF plus create my own. It's been about a year since the last good simple recipe thread. Was time for an updated one.
