Serially Easy- Lime Greek Yogurt
submitted about 9 years ago by skiddlzninjaThat one moderator. You know, the honey guy.

The latest edition of my Serially Easy line of recipes.

This one is just an adaptation of a recipe I've been working on for a while. It started at 5 ingredients, jumped to 7, went up to 9, and was abandoned after many failed iterations.

So I went fucking easy with it.

Serially Easy Lime Greek Yogurt

  • 4% FLV Greek Yogurt
  • 3% TFA Marshmallow
  • 2% CAP Lemon Lime

Steep for a week.

FLV Greek Yogurt- This is my go-to simple yogurt. Creamy, tart, thick. Has a bit of a milky aftertaste, and is the best yogurt flavoring on its own. It is only improved by FA Yogurt and FA Fresh Cream, as /u/notcharlesmanson showed with his Creamy Greek Yogurt Base

TFA Marshmallow- Just how I like my motherly southern black women, thick and sweet. Works well to mellow the lime, and thicken the yogurt while adding sweetness.

CAP Lemon Lime- There are better lime flavors out there, but none that work as well in this recipe. This recipe needed a smoother lime, and this flavor fit that bill. A candy-like lime flavoring, just a hint of lemon that works to accent the lime and improve the yogurt.

Thanks for reading, and be sure to check out my other recipes. Follow me on alltheflavors.com for emails about new recipes I post.

I just made a Greek yoghurt recipe this week. Damn near the same recipe percentages as yours too! Only difference was your lemon lime was swapped out for CAP sweet mango and instead of marshmallow I used FW Madagascar Vanilla. I'm glad I read this post it's shown me I'm on the right tracks.

Which ones? I'd seriously like to know for a 7-up type thing I'm working on.

For a lemon-lime soda, I prefer Cap Lemon Lime, to be honest. TPA has one, too, but it has a weird funk so I've abandoned it completely for the Cap version. I use it in a soda recipe at 2 and it's distinct, but doesn't take over the mix. Love Cap Lemon Lime!

For another great, straight-up lime, I like TPA Key Lime for a strong lime flavor, but mellow on the sourness. FA's Lime Tahity Cold Pressed is what I use when I want strong lime with a strong zing.

Oh, and I would suggest FA Lemon Sicily if you're going to mix separate lime and lemon for your 7-Up!

INW lime is kind of like a candy/lime zest mix. No sourness at all. Like green kool-aid.

Looks like a solid recipe to me, will mix it for sure whenever I order some FLV Greek Yogurt. I really like your simple line of recipes and appreciate the quality 2-4 ingredient mixes you are putting out there. Just reminds everyone that you don't need 10 flavors to get a good tasting mix. Not everything needs to be overly complex to be enjoyable and satisfying.

Yup, I noticed a lot of my recipes aren't as accessible to new mixers, so I started this line to help get their feet on the ground.

Hasn't steeped a week yet, but just tried it... It's pretty good so far, but I think a little FA Lime Tahity Cold Pressed would help that lime note along.

Both lime tahitis are a bit rough, combined with the BA in yogurt, it creates a very harsh vape. Original recipe used lime tahiti, but lemon lime fit better

Right on, I just mixed another batch, same recipe with 0.5% of the Lime Tahity added. Gonna compare in a week or so... Take care
