It's pineapple time. Again.
I've been hesitating to post this recipe because it's really simple and not very creative, but it is delicious.
Pineapple Smoothie
-
3% Hangsen Pineapple
-
3% CAP Golden Pineapple
-
3% TFA Pineapple
-
3% TFA Philippine Mango [the 'floater' ingredient]
-
2% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Yeah, that's... really all there is to it.
As far as the 'floater' ingredient goes, I like mango, but you could put pretty much anything here and it would probably be good. Dragonfruit, FA Fuji, papaya, banana cream, orange, whatever. Some lighter fruits like strawberry might not hold up to the Wall of Pineapple, but I think a heavier berry like raspberry or mixed berry might.
Not much of that optional ingredient actually shows up in the overall flavor, but if you leave it out, the pineapple can get a little harsh. So, try to choose something that isn't going to contribute to throat hit; I'd avoid TFA Juicy Peach in particular.
Flavor Notes
It's. Fucking. Pineapple.
And smooth. Not overly complex. Thick and fruity just like it should be, somewhere between a smoothie or a milkshake. I was a little hesitant to go with something as heavy as VBIC for a flavor to get me through these humid-ass 100+ degree days, but it really works.
Looks nice, nothing wrong with a simple recipe! +1 for the bonus kitteh!
I'll give this a try thanks. I recently got Hangsen Pineapple and it is the best pineapple flavor I've tried yet for the fresh juicy taste. I've been adding about 7 drops to my 16oz energy drinks and it's great.
Not positive what I'll use as the floater yet but banana cream sounds like it would be just right.
Looks like I need to get me some of that HS Pineapple! How would you describe that one?
Not OP but fresh juice of a pineapple. Adding it to a 16oz drink in 5-7 drops is a great flavor but going up to about 10 drops it tastes like I'm drinking pineapple juice.
You probably have cap golden pineapple which to me is a very baked pineapple and not that great fresh taste. Together in my drink(how I test sometimes) in similar amounts it gives it kind of a heartier taste compared to just the HS Pineapple alone. Not as fresh and not as juicy and I'm having a really tough time describing it, but they are good together.
Great notes, ty. I have INW pineapple and to me I get pineapple juice from that one, so maybe it'll make a good sub
I like it a lot, it reminds me of fresh pineapple juice mixed half and half with the juice from canned pineapple. More of a fresh flavor, but sweeter.
