SG For INW Biscuit
submitted about 9 years ago by RomanHaze

INW / Inawera Biscuit Specific Gravity / SG : 1.058

Dropping this here for future google/search bar searches.

I failed to find this information online anywhere, and got no response from Inawera, so I'm leaving this here in the hopes that future people looking for the information can find it in this thread easily.

This was arrived at with Gilson P1000 measuring at 74 degrees F through samples of 1 and 2 mL of Biscuit on a smart weight scale at 50g 0.001. The scale was tested with 20G calibration weights and the P1000 was tested with water at 1mL prior to measuring.

Cool, thanks for doing that.

Neat. I thought I was the only one that mixed with respect to specific gravity. Any other INW flavorings you have SG for? I actually have written down 1.041 for INW Pineapple, not sure where exactly I found that. The rest of them I have been using the generic 1.04.

Is that the case for recipes you post on ATF? I have Grape Ice Cream Cone saved for later. It probably wouldn't make much of a difference, assuming I didn't mix up a liter, but it might be worth making note of it.

Yes. Probably wouldn't make a huge difference, but I feel like you'd end up with less flavor if you use 1 instead of the actual SG.

Nope, currently it's the only INW flavor I've used in anything.

Sweet! I really wish INW would give the specific gravities of their flavorings... this Biscuit will help.

Any chance you could do Kaktus? It really seems that the SG on that one is quite a bit below 1.0, but I'm not sure. Every time I mix with it, I feel like I am needing to add more than necessary.

I agree, I dislike not finding the information from the source!

Left to my own devices, I won't, I don't have or use the flavor. If you want to drop me an email at kate@romanhaze.com and mail me a 5mL sample of the flavor I could tell you.
