Question,

One of my friends wants a peanut butter chocolate cake mix. I've got everything I think I need, except for chocolate.

What chocolate is your guys favorite?

I really like FLV Chocolate Deutsche. Very cakey and chocolatey. But a little bit goes a long way. Might need other supporting cakes to not be overpowering.

I had high hopes for this, but I really hate it. The coconut is beyond overbearing at only 3% standalone.

Don't mix it with Nonna's cake either. The anise potentiate the shit out of the coconut & makes it even stronger. Bleh.

Yeah I'd definitely keep this one at about 1% max. It definitely can be overwhelming. I actually have a 10% base to use instead of the full strength. I actually prefer it that way. That plus a little FW Yellow Cake (I know, poison, shoot me) is fucking stellar. Very little debbie-ish.

I've been working on a PB Chocolate Cake. Here's the latest version:

Flavor|%| :--|:--| Biscuit INW|1| Chocolate Deutsch FLV|.25| Cookie FA|1| Hazelnut FW|1| Peanut Butter TFA|5| Sugar Cookie CAP|2| Sweet Coconut FLV|.25|

Needs to age a week or more due to the PB. I'll use less Chocolate Deutsch for the next version, probably .1% to give the PB a more prominent position. My INW Peanuts just came in, so I'll be using some of that, too.

MF Dark Chocolate remains the only chocolate flavoring I've used that isn't a coil gunking bastardized coffee/nutty/musty/vanilla flavored mess.

Lemmie tellya; I bought TFA Bittersweet Chocolate Extra on a whim, then read the reviews on ELR, and have been scared to use it ever since. Your review made me feel so much better.

I'm going to start working that one into my recipes. I'll let you know if I come up with anything great.

If you check the notes tab on ELR, the first comment is "disgusting". I believe the listing for the "Extra" TFA Bittersweet Chocolate is similarly unfavorable in notes and ratings.

/u/Chrisdvr1's flavor review is much more comprehensive, though, and described it as exactly the chocolate I was looking for, so it's made me excited to use a flavor I had, up until then, shelved.

Just my opinion. There is real chocolate and there is synthetic. For me it's a no brainer... Dark Chocolate MF. It ain't cheap, but it's the best I've tasted hands down. From this I have created a Milk Chocolate that is TDF... (To Die For).

(DIY) Milk Chocolate Gmix

Ingredient|% :---|---: Bavarian Cream (TPA)|3 Dark Chocolate (MF)|1 Sweet Cream (CAP)|1.5

Flavor total: 5.5%

Word of advice. The whole "AP smooths chocolate" isn't really true. I personally believe EM is chocolates best friend.

When I made your "Golden Ticket(REMIX)" I used way more tfa double chocolate clear than I have before(following the recipe) and that juice ended up having zero chocolate taste to me. Some others who commented on ELR said the same thing. Is it likely the EM caused this since you said it calms the chocolate down?

This is the first time I've heard this. I don't even have the recipe up on ELR. But I do know 5% DCC isn't out of the norm. What do you usually mix it at?

Yeah 5% isn't crazy but I usually go 1-2% maybe 3% if it needs more, but it isn't a flavor I use very often. Looking at ELR 5% is the median. I just have not had to go there for some reason so to me 5% was double what I normally used.

You're right it was not you that posted it, sorry about that. The one I used on there was the same as the one listed on your site. I ended up just pouring it out after a few months because nothing changed. Got a bit of a chocolate smell going down the drain but not when vaping it.

I'm out of town do I don't have access to my flavor profile on it but Chocolate Overload from Gremlindiy.com is a good round chocolate, I've found. I use it anywhere from .25% to 2% depending in what it's going with. I first used it in a mix with RF Cookies and Cream and VBIC (with some others thrown in) and it made a good chocolate covered Oreo ice cream.
