INW Black Cherry for Pipe

##INW Black Cherry for Pipe##

Summary
Tested at 3%
This is a surprisingly smooth, cherry pipe tobacco. It's not smokey like I had anticipated the "For Pipe" line being after trying INW Black for Pipe. The cherry is delicious (not medicinal at all) and very pronounced, with a nice deep pipe tobacco in the background. I'm no expert in tobaccos, so it'll be hard for me to liken it to a type of tobacco, but I don't get much nuttiness, just kind of a nice, deep, dry, leafy pipe tobacco. The cherry note is somewhat sweet so if you're looking for a not-so-sweet cherry tobacco vape, I would recommend using this as an accent to another tobacco to provide the cherry accent to the tobacco.

On the Nose
Very Cherry forward, slight tobacco essence

Recommended Usage
Stand alone: 2-3%

In a mix: 1-2%.

Throat
Mild, thumpy, not sharp or scratchy/dry

Pairings
Cherry, dark fruits, coffee, other tobaccos.

Avoid
Not too sure here, probably brighter fruits and creams.

Steep
2-3 Weeks. Tobacco becomes much more pronounced and "full" after a steep.

Recipe Ideas

Honestly this concentrate is really great on its own. When using this in a recipe it will most likely be to bring a cherry note to tobaccos

I've been on the (mostly disappointing) hunt for a good cherry ever since trying Cherry Crush from Blu back in the day. Cool!

Quick question: This one's already sitting on my wish list, but, how do you think it would work as an accent for Black for Pipe?

Also, do you think FA Almond or INW Marzipan would fit into this profile?

EDIT: Also, thanks for another great review. :-)

I was actually thinking they would accent each other quite nicely. In "The Norseman" I use Marzipan to bring a bit of sweetness and cherry to the Black for Pipe, so I'd think you could easily replace the Marzipan with this.

As for Almond/Marzipan, I don't know that these would be necessary since the cherry is pretty forward already in the concentrate. Almond I think would be a better pairing, but either one would probably be nice. I just got INW Marzipan in but haven't tried it yet, only have experience with FA Marzipan; INW Marzipan does smell pretty cherry forward.

After more of a review, Vanilla for Pipe probably falls in line with this. I know you were going to try the whole line so I'll throw you my thoughts on it.

It's a light vanilla with a slight tobacco taste, it's not a base flavor at all. I tried it at 2.5% based on reviews. I might try it higher. I really wanted to like this flavor a lot, and I do because I feel it has a lot of potential. I always had interest in vanilla tobacco from rolling my own and trying so many cigarettes and tobaccos before I quit. I think it would bring a depth to Shisha Vanilla in a bakery mix or can be added to Sweet Leaf by u/Vurve to accent the vanilla. I currently have a batch steeping with it at 2% to test. It's not dark, it's a very light flavor but the tobacco comes out slightly after a week. Slightly dry, slightly lacking on both sides. Which is while I think Sweet Leaf can use it because it accents both sides slightly.

Tell me when you try it!

I can do more on this when I clear up some space after this Tax Free prep I'm doing at work. Oh how I miss factory life.

I support this idea! It's a great flavor that can be very versatile

Mixed with some ry4 and CAP vanilla custard, you'd have a perfect dessert tobacco
