While I haven't noticed it myself (I only vape ~5% nicotine), when I make 24% juices for people I've had two different people ask me if I'd used tobacco flavoring in the flavor mixture!! I cannot detect this myself, and I'd have written it off if it were just a single person, but two unrelated people brought it up to me. Has anyone else noticed this with nude nicotine? I keep my main bottle in the freezer, and only pour out ~1wk's worth at a time, and am very very strict on shaking it to hell for consistency.
That 'caroline extracts' supercritical stuff is too expensive for my budget, am inclined to just order from Nude again but hoping for some insight into this 'tobacco aroma' that may / may-not be there!!
I'm lost. CXTC sells 120ml of 100mg/ml for $17.99 and Nude sells 120ml of 100mg/ml for $19.00. How is it too expensive? Is the shipping the culprit?
Is cxtc that caroline company? Do they have multiple lines or something? AFAIR, it wasn't their pricing-per-mL that was the problem, it was the minimum order (was around or over $100, which is definitely not something I'd spend on nicotine being that I only make for myself and a couple friends)
Just for your future knowledge, converting mg/ml to % you need to shift your decimal one sigfig smaller, so 24mg/ml is 2.4%, guessing you vape 0.5%, I do 0.25% myself.
Sorry that's my bad, most people seem to be oblivious to how often it's mislabeled, in common parlance amongst vapers to refer to 0.5% as 5% and I just fell prey to it, I know it's wrong (I mean, I know how little 100mg/mL of it I use in my DIY product - I shudder to think how many ignorant ppl trying DIY juice have made real 5% juice, thinking it was their regular dripping-strength juice, and had violent nausea from it!!)
I'm having nic issues too & am wondering if I'm just storing it wrong. My first bottle was a 250 of nude v2 50mg, kept it in the freezer & opened it like 8 times over 4 months. But it was harsh after just a month.
Last month I got 120 from wizard labs & was very pleased with the quality, totally clear & smooth. Pulled it outta the freezer for my second mix & it was yellow...& harsh when vaped. My only guess is that nic is far more sensitive to oxygen than we give it credit for. So I'm ordering a dozen 60ml amber glass bottles next time hoping that helps. If anyone else has pointers I'd love to hear em!
How did you warm it after taking it out? Applying heat to nicotine doesn't go well.
You'd be better off splitting it into smaller bottles and keeping one out at a time.
Yea Ive stayed away from heat. I just let it sit for a few hours then mix. I'm still unclear about storing flavors too, been freezing em then I saw someone on here say not to freeze concentrates? More reading in my future I guess...
Weird, I've been using my 50mg 120ml of armor v2 for 6 months now. It sits in my desk 24/7, no fridge or anything and it's still perfect.
There are bottle seals you can buy and slip a luer tip syringe through to keep air out of your bottle. You can also buy Argon in a can and replace the air in your nic bottle with it. I think the starting size on the seals is 20mm.
Thx for the reminder! I just heard about using argon recently but haven't yet researched price & how to properly use it
What is this 'v2' of nude? I only saw that they have nicotine, and you can choose what strength and ratio of solvent base(s)
I wonder at how sensitive it is, too - any scientific types here knowledgeable? That (rate of degradation of nicotine in presence of light, oxygen and both) would make a good /r/askscience thread if anyone cared to ;)
I'm in the same situation as you as well it seems. Always used NN but I'm heavily considering some other place. I really want to try Liquid Barn, very little information comparing the two versions they offer however. Older information I've come across but nothing in the past several months.
