I like TFA RY4 Double. Will I like FA Soho?

Yes, I have read a lot of notes on TFA RY4 Double. And yes, I have read a little notes on FA Soho. I have also tried a lot of tasty recipes including Wayne's PRY4U, which utilises TFA RY4. However I'm looking to deviate a little and explore a different tobacco. Based on the notes, FA Soho seems to be the most apropos. For those who have used it, what do you think? Is it similar to FA Soho? I'm looking for a mild tobacco with a touch of caramel.

I find Soho a lot sweeter than RY4D, but it's similar in that there isn't a heck of a lot of tobacco involved. Something about it though makes it cloying to me after a few puffs. So if you're looking for a non-tobacco "tobacco" vape it could work for you -it's worth trying if nothing else.

You sound like your tastes are similar to mine, so I would recommend FA Shade to you for a mild tobacco with a touch of sweetness. I would also recommend Hangsen's flavors like Desert Ship and Highway - they are mild tobaccos that mix very well (Highway adds a bit of a nutty flavor). You can add sweetness to your desired level and they don't have that "tinny" flavor of RY4D.

+1 for FA Shade. I've enjoyed this as single flavour, if you take it quite high to 6% the sweetness really comes up and it turns into a biscuity ry4 type thing rather than a tobacco, hard to describe but tasty. Love Shade + apple Fuji as an apple tobacco base too.
Edit: agree about Soho however RY4D tastes sweeter to me but there you go. Made some more Soho and RY4D mixes a few days ago will close my eyes and give it a second opinion...

Another +1 for shade, and the Shade+fuji combo is on point. It's been my go to tobacco for the summer.

What percentages do you use it at? And do you add any caramel or butterscotch to it?

Yeah I think you will. Mild, clean, very slight sweetness and nuttiness. It's enjoyable as a single flavour, you want it at 7 to 10% and trust me on that it was one that FA designed as kind of a single shot concentrate. I will say it is nothing like an RY4 really, if you want the caramel/maple sweetness you will need to add that in. Also brings much less of the throat hit I get from RY4D.

Two others I recommend highly are FA Glory and FA Desert Ship which play well with the same nut, vanilla, caramel, cream ry4 mix components. Glory particularly is great blended with Soho and any nut accents. 2 to 2.5% for those two.

I find FA Glory to be a bit harsh past 1.5%. I tend to keep it 0.5-.75%. I really need to try Soho.

heh that's you and /u/Tabboo saying this. I've been enjoying it mightily at around 2% which is kind of where I started with it and haven't moved. But I've made a note to play around with it lower %ages next time, see what that brings.

I just find it really strong. I did mix it at 2% in another tobacco blend and gave it to a "vaping n00b" and he loved it, so to each their own. (not calling you a vaping n00b).

Well two have disagreed with me about 2% Glory being a good strength so take that witha pinch and make your own testers if you get it! Banana's one of my no-go flavors so not one I use, though Glory has a lot of nuttiness in it so banana-coconut is definitely a possible direction with that. FA Desert Ship, I have a WiP recipe that I'm really enjoying with almond, a little marzipan, caramel, vanilla bourbon - so coconut could def work there too and maybe banana also.

Edit: digging through the FA UK site last night they have a blended concentrate 'Ozark Sweetleaf' that may go in my basket next time > Inspired by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils' "Men From Earth" album, this is an audacious blend of tobaccos with hints of sweet caramel and coconut. A warm, fairly dry tobacco mix tempered with a little sweetness

It tastes like pyrazines and maltol.

If you want tobacco flavor in that combo I wld go for INW scamel which is in the same vein

Sorry if I can't contribute to your question since I have not used FA Soho, but I wanted to ask what percentage you use RY4 Double at? I recently got 15ml of it. I was thinking of making a 120ml batch and leaving it a drawer for awhile.

Hey no problem. I already got my answer. Back to your question, it really depends. This recipe by Wayne uses it at 3% while this one by SadPanda uses it at 3.5%. I've seen some people go up to 10% too. Overall it's a pretty versatile flavoring but it definitely needs a good steep.

I used the RY4 Double once in following recipie not got quiet a punch from anyother RY4 yet 40/60 PG VG Blend

TFA RY4 Double 8% TFA Vanilla Swirll 4% Signature's Concentrate Dulce De Leche 1%

Steep Time atleast a one month quite the charming at 45 days+ It give a wonderful aroma on sniffing it and very relaxing on vape
