I find pipettes to be worthless - I have a bag I haven't touched in over a year. Syringes are what I prefer - one of these days I'll get around to a scale and start mixing by weight.

Carolina extract is the agreed upon top quality. Very expensive, though

FA Lime Cold Pressed and Distilled are very popular and potent. TFA Keylime is also good.

For the popsicles I would search around Eliquidrecipes.com and see if anything exists. Those can be pretty simple though. You can get away with single flavor mixes for popsicles.

CAP Lemon Lime is a pretty good standalone flavour.

Just like any hobby, it really depends which route you take. For about $200 you could be good to go for a long time.

$100? Thats a hard one to answer, so here is some homework that will give you the answer.

First seek out highly rated recipes with POSITIVE feedback (there are some real turds out there). Then go to either Bull City Vapor or Gremlindiy and price the smallest size bottles of flavors to make them. Go ahead and price a few mixing supplies (syringes, beakers, empty bottles). And vg and pg. You can also check Essential Depot's prices for that.

Expect to spend most of the money on the nicotine. Dont skimp here, because it is the whole point anyway, amma right? Vape Clarity gets my money, but check out all the reviews in the Verified Vendors link.

I spent just under $100 for a scale, a 450 ml of VG, 225 ml of PG, 100 mg 125 ml of nicotine, bottles and a syringe for nicotine, and enough flavoring for three recipes (10 or so individual flavors). I am just now running out of the PG and VG and have been mixing for three to four months. Hope this helps!

I wished there was a magical "something". I sometimes have to really work thru a few revisions to balance out the ingredients. Can you post up the exact recipe(s) that you have an issue with aftertaste?

I wouldn't go adding a "few" drops to a 10ml bottle, but 1 to 2 drops added and then shake and vape is probably going to give you a little cooling effect without ruining your juice. If you find that 2 drops per 10ml isn't working for you, try 3 next time.

Some people are more sensitive to it than others and some detect a weird chemically-treated paper type taste that's worse when mixed with some flavors such as creams than it is when mixed with fruits.

I go for 70/30PG nic now. Much easier to work with than 100%VG and makes mixing high VG juices with a lot of flavouring a bit easier.

That scale would be most useful at about 100mL or more. You'll have trouble mixing a 10mL batch because a .3g reading could be .25-.34, giving you a variance of almost 1% with any measurements.

My first bottle of nude nic I was a dummy and always just stored it in my cabinet above my fridge; no argon, no freezer, nothin'. Lasted me about a year. It always tasted fine to me. Looking back now that I have stored my nic better, I can see where it probably wasn't as good (especially toward the end), but I wouldn't really worry about it. Oxygen is the biggest enemy so if you didn't open it shouldn't have degraded much.

Are you on mobile? I'm not sure that all mobile apps will let you sort it differently, but on desktop you can sort it by points ("top" or by date "new" and "old."). The default sorting is by "best" which is often but not always the same as "top" - it's determined by some kind of algorithm I don't know all the details about.

You can buy Koolada in the form of crystals or diluted in PG. If you bought Koolada and it's a liquid, it's probably 10% dissolved in PG, so there is no need to dilute it further. How much does the recipe call for?

CAP Glazed Doughnut tastes like Play-doh to most people. I'd skip that one and get CAP Sugar Cookie and/or TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust) instead. Those two are versatile, must-have flavors. But really, the best thing you can do is find some recipes you want to make first, get the flavors you need for those, and play around with the flavors later.

Not a fan of TPA caramel - Cappellas is IMHO a much better flavor.

You should be using an eliquid calculator so that you don't have to ask people to check your math and more importantly so you don't fuck up. This is a downloadable calculator that is very good or if you don't want to download something you should use the calculator on All The Flavors.

Also, in your example you didn't list your target nicotine

Get a juice calculator. There are several on the sidebar. That way you can do the calcs by hand if you want to understand it, but check yourself no matter the input variables.

And no, it doesn't look correct because your original volumes don't add up to 120. With that much VG your final density should be higher than 1.

Edit: If you are trying to do percentages you need to divide by 100 at the end, not 120

Don't think there is much you can do (that I know of). Where did you order the nic from? I don't think the vendor would replace it since this wasn't their fault, but it might be worth a try to contact them and see what they have to say or if they have any suggestions.

Did you try it yet? It might still be fine honestly. I have ordered nic that was clear, pink, yellowish. All were fine and had no throat hit. And an hour inside a box, inside a sealed bottle doesn't seem too long.

As for doing anything else to minimize the oxidization, not that I know of. Except minimize opening it a bunch. Maybe split it into 30ml bottles and then just leave those in the freezer, except for your daily use one for the month.

That is because of the discovery that FW uses corn syrup in some concentrates. And from what I understand, they tried to hide it. Here is a list of those concentrates, plus an explanation why to avoid corn syrup.

FWIW, I still occasionally make one recipe with a small % of YC, but I'm hard-headed:).

Find well-reviewed recipes you want to try. Choose the ingredients in them. Determine how much you want to make before the next order. Buy that amount of flavoring.

It's not used in very many recipes, which means it's likely unpopular or undiscovered. The people who have used it have used it on average at 5.6%, with some at 7.5% and some at 5%.

If you chose 5.6%, and you wanted to make 100ml, you would need approximately 5.6ml of that flavor. To make 30ml, you would need about 1.8 ml. To make a liter, you would need 56 ml.

Buying flavors randomly will result in random e-liquid, most likely stuff you will NOT like.

Generally, 10-15mLs in my opinion. I have a lot of 30mL's that I bought almost two years ago that are still 50-75% full. FWIW, I only vape DIY juice, and vape 10-12mL of juice a day.

For FA/FLV/INW where the percentage used is usually 1-3% a 10-15mL will last a long time.

30mLs for things like TFA Strawberry, CAP Vanilla Custard, CAP Sugar Cookie - flavours that are liked by almost everyone and you will use in probably every second mix.

As you get a bit more experienced mixing you'll start to get a better feel for how much you should be ordering.

If you pick up TFA Grape Juice get some TFA Grape Candy as well, they go well together. /u/queuetue's percentages are about right. Koolada you'll be using in the 0.5-2.0% range.

I first started out with a kit from them, yeah they aren't bad but the kit did include some items that you might not use. It may be better to buy stuff individually.

You should shop around Vapable, Justvape24/7, Vapour Depot, but I was not disappointed with MakeMyVape. Make sure you already have a recipe picked out (with positive reviews) to get the right flavours for a mix.

You can use any flavor as a single flavor. There are no rules saying that you cannot. In general, TFA flavors are not as potent as some other flavoring companies so TFA flavors are typically used in the range of 3-10%. There are definitely some exceptions to the rule, though. Type the exact flavor name of a flavor you want to know about into the search bar and see if you can find any information. Or go to sites like e-liquid-recipes.com and alltheflavors.com and search for the flavor there and see what the average percentage used for those flavors is

You added the correct amount of nic to your 30mL bottle, but shouldn't you confirm that your math is correct before deciding to mix up a bottle? You can refer to one of the many ejuice calculators that will do the math for you.

Is your nic VG or PG based?

Did you measure your VG and flavourings? If so, how much did you add?

If not, don't assume a "30mL" bottle is actually 30mL, they generally hold a little more than that - which would mean your juice would be weaker than intended, but worth pointing out.

Weight hands down. Less cleaning, less mess and way faster finished product.

Without boring you with a wall of text, /u/Botboy141 does an excellent job of explaining mixing nic blends by wieght here. If you're adding straight VG, 1.26g/mL is going to be your multiplier, and I believe most other specific gravities are discussed in that post somewhere as well.

I've only tested two chocolates, and so far the closest thing I can put in that category is HS Australian Chocolate. I believe the FA Cocoa or Chocolate might be more up your alley here, but I haven't tried either of those. I would suggest HiC's "My Notes On" for some information on those two.
