DIY: A Love Story
submitted about 9 years ago by benyar

I have a two year history with vaping. I've had premium juices, I've had cheap juices. I've tried all kinds of flavors, and enjoyed most of them. The one thing I've never loved was a cream recipe, though. The cream always seems to overpower anything else in the recipe and just leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Until... /u/skiddlzninja gave us cliché. https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/1383

I made a batch on Sunday (0.75% FA Fuji instead of the forest fruit) and let it sit until today. And oh my word, it was nice. I can taste the cream, yes, but the strawberry is there as well. And the apple. And EVERYTHING.

I jumped into DIY because it's cheap. I'm staying because it's quality. Thank you, /r/DIY. Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback, man. Glad you like it! You can check out the recipe that inspired it if you search mustard milk.

Yep. Intent is to make that soon, but only have strawberry ripe and it will have to wait on the next order.

If you plan on buying more than a small sample bottle of tfa strawberry, I would recommend grabbing a 4 oz bottle of it. On most sites, the 4oz is ~$5 compared to ~4 for a 30ml, it's one of tfa's cheapest flavors in bulk, and it's used in quite a few recipes.

Where are you finding it for $5? Best I can find is $8. Not that that's a bad price...

And the list of flavors I need grows longer. Thank you OP and Skiddlzninja, but my wallet would disagree.

I make cliché with forest fruit and I honestly can't get enough of it. Always have some on hand. It's such a perfect blend of berries they play sooooo nicely together! Thinking of branching out and using Fuji, you can't go wrong with Fuji amirite?!?

INW cherimoya is amazing in it as well.

Fuji is what I am using now. A near-future batch will use white peach, though.

Thanks for pointing this recipe out u/benyar . Just knocked up a batch as I had everything in and hadn't yet used the forest flavor . It smells awesome but gonna give it a few days as I mix Max vg .

I may have to sign up to 'all the flavors' as it seems that's were all the cool kids chill these days

Cliché is one of my go-to liquids. Everyone please give it a review - it deserves the attention. Also, try some of the suggested variations.

This recipe is one of my favorites. I've only tried the Forest Fruit and Cinnamon Roll variations (I have Fuji and Harvest Berry so I'll have to get around to those soon) and both are great! When I'm using the original variation out on the smoke deck at work, literally every time someone comments about how good it smells.
