6 New Flavour Art Flavors
submitted about 9 years ago by CheebaSteebaFrugivore

This was posted in the DIY E-Juice Recipes FB Group by Randy, thought some might be interested in this.

There was a thread ~16 days ago by /u/quakas that contained 4 of the new flavorings to be released from FA; I figured this would still be relevant/interesting since it seems there are 2 extras including Cocoon (Caramel Apple) and WOW (Seems to be the Zeppoli FA contest winner flavor)

Here is a link to the document with the descriptions

What's with the silly names? I find that annoying.

Good post tho thanks!

I tend to agree with that lol. It makes sense with them being complex profiles and part of the "artist's touch" line, but I think it would be nice if they just did like "Zeppoli" and did an awesome fried doughnut.

Either way, I find them very intriguing. I have liked some of their newer stuff like Aurora

But when is Nicotine River going to be carrying them?

Where's Mr. Wayne? What I'm reading here is Lemon, Lemon, Lemon, Lemon, Something close to lemon if not lemon, Lemon.

Anyone have much experience ordering off of FA's direct site? The "good" shipping is like 25$ but the standard shipping offers no tracking and they also say they aren't responsible for lost packages and it'll take up to 20 days. I just don't want to spend 30$ on these concentrates and have them get lost in the mail

Not really sure, I've never ordered direct from any flavor company (maybe I'm missing major savings not doing so) ; but shouldn't some online stores closer to most of us get them in soon?

Not really up in the game enough to know how long a new release takes to get to the DIY shops, or if their giving proper before hand notice to order and get the shipments in, but not put them on their site until the official release date from the maker.

Well, I placed an order for all 6 concentrates. I guess I'll see how it turns out

Where you live? Just wondering how your shipping cost would compare to mine. Im assuming the farther away you are, the more it will cost..... But you know what they say about assuming.

Your thoughts after a month or so are? I received WoW, Aurora, Cornish cream tea and umm one who's name escapes me at present and am yet to mix test batches.

I've ordered direct from Inawera and TFA. INW definitely rapes you on shipping (for me anyway. Southwestern US) TFA isn't too bad, but I noticed a lot of 3rd party vendors (like Bull City) offer different sizes for their TFA flavorings, like 30mL which is awesome.

Yeah, their TFA 30ml price is nice. It's almost so nice you'll grab a 30ml of a flavor you never tried before since it's only a tiny more than the smallest size (cause everyone hates when you get a awesome flavor, but only a little bit and you run out in a week wishing you had just got the damn 30ml).

I ordered a while ago, while I don't remember how long it took to get here, it came nicely wrapped (it was a glass bottle) and had no issues whatsoever.

I've ordered direct from them and shipping wasn't the issue -- the time for them to formulate my order took forever. I think it was something like 2-3 weeks before they actually shipped my order out. Mind you, it was one of my very first DIY orders, so I had about 30 or 40 flavors.

I hope their formulation speed has improved.

Yeah thats what its looking like for me. My order status has been "in processing " for a few days now.

Looks like they're meant to be used as single concentrate mixes.

There's fruit all over the place.

So more cake stuff with hints of lemon.

There's got to be somebody out there that does a legit and accurate Bazooka Joe flavor .

Nobody comes close and i have tried them all , plenty of Juicy Fruit flavor gums but no worthwhile pink Bazooka Joe types.

Have you tried INW's bubblegums? I hear they're pretty close. Or LA bubblegum?

I have long had LA bubblegum and i recently bought Inawera's Donald bubblegum , very disappointed in both.

LA is the better of the two , i have TFA's regular and J. Fruit styles, i have FlavorWest's regular and J.Fruit Styles , i have FA's Tutti Fruiti , Inawera's Donald bubblegum but not their gum ball labeled one.

I also have Capella's Juicy Fruit labeled flavoring which is dead on accurate but weak , very weak .

Shockingly FlavorWest's regular bubblegum is the best of all of them imo but i would love to see FA attempt a Bazooka Joe type.

LA bubble gum is the one you're looking for.

Reviews here:

First impressions:

  • WOW: Very light donut, slight fruity flavour. Enjoyable on its own, check back for combinations

  • Metaphor: Probably the one I'm most excited about, definitely light airy bakery taste with light fresh citrus flavours.

  • Cocoon: FA Fuji seems to be the dominant flavour here, eh it's alright. From initial impressions, it's not the highlight of this lineup

  • Labyrinth: Not really getting much cake but I'm getting an aniseed hint? Check back for updates on this flavour

Check back for more over the next couple of days.

Mixes:

WOW:

Basic quick donut:

  • 4% CAP Glazed Donut
  • 1% FA WOW
  • 0.8% FA Joy

Wow sits nicely here although it does take away from the donut feel.

Jam Donut

  • 4% CAP Glazed Donut
  • 1% FA WOW
  • 1% FLV Strawberry
  • 0.2% INW Raspberry
  • 0.8% FA Joy

Works better here since WOW has a jam fruit element to it already. Fits nicely, I think I'll leave it out of my plain donut recipes but it'll be in my mix if it's a jam donut.

Sounds good to me, I like my doughnut mixes. Been using Joy to good effect for that fried doughnut kick. Wow sounds like the perfect accompaniment
