I wanted to make my own stand to organize my flavors (about 200 as we speak). So my brother in law and me went on a shopping spree to buy some expensive wood, various drill bits, paint and whatnot. Now, we aren't exactly known to be handy men, quite the opposite tbh. However a few years back we discovered the joy of 'working with our hands' when we did some renovation work in their house. Ever since, whenever one of us has the need for something, we prefer to build it rather than buying it. And it's always quite the comical adventure.
So yeah, my flavor stand. We basically fucked up big time, wasted all the wood, broke all the drill bits and I made a big hole in his wooden garden table. Stores were closed, it was past midnight but we refused to give up ... failure was not an option, especially not after my sis and my 4 and 7 year old nieces made fun of us during the entire afternoon/evening.
Eventually we came up with this redneck solution: http://i.imgur.com/Qn72ZZk.jpg. It's so horrible but it actually kinda works really well so I felt like sharing it!

That looks like it works as well as the box my work boots came in.
I did the box thing for a while, until my girlfriend couldn't stand the sound of bottles rattling around every time I went to mix. She then proceeded to organize all of them alphabetically and by manufacturer and I've been so happy ever since. The good ol days of the shoebox still have a place in my heart though.
"Couldn't stand the sound of bottles ratting." Jesus, man. Either you mix every 5 minutes or she is in need of a slap on the bottom.
I built a theater style rack for my sample size flavors. I still can't always read them all, but having them in alphabetical order makes mixing far less frustrating. I'll give something like this a go for my 30,60 and 120ml flavorings. And alphabetize.
I have the solution in the form of this - Imgur
I number each bottle and add them to a spreadsheet. If I want a flavour I just search the name in the spreadsheet, see which number it's at and then grab it. It's made things so much quicker.
If one runs out, I just delete it from the spreadsheet and use that space the next time I get something else in.
