Splitting your nicotine up in to smaller bottles is always a good idea to limit exposure to oxygen. You really shouldn't need to keep your VG/PG in the fridge unless you plan on storing it for > 1 year.

I wouldn't say it's not due to not having enough flavoring (in fact a lot of the time, over-flavoring will mute perceived flavor). There are a lot of different factors that contribute to less-than-desirable flavor.

Seeing a recipe helps a lot here. I normally make 80/20 mixes and have plenty of flavor so I wouldn't think it's the ratio.

If you just started making juice, it could be that your palate is still used to excessive sucralose from commercial juice.

Typically the amount of flavoring to putting more PG In doesn't really matter, since you're coming out to the same PG ratio in the finished liquid.

One thing I've started notice messing around with bases more, is that the quality of your bases (Nic/VG) can make a big difference in the quality of flavor in the finished liquid. If all of your efforts lead to dead-ends, I might check the bases to see if they're lacking in quality.

You are most likely used to the sucralose laden "commercial" juice. Your DIY liquid will taste not as flavorful at first because your tastebuds are so used to the commercial juice, but stick with it and you will be fine

What are the storing conditions/bottle type? What's the recipe? I can't comment on how CXT nic ages, but I intend on doing a review on various vendors' nic. I also only make 6mg for some friends but I have noticed it does darken quicker (maybe not as noticeable as you've mentioned). Could be the liquids you're able to vape @ 6mg just have a combination of flavors that's smoother on the throat.

I normally buy 10ml (~1.50$) samples of flavors, with 30ml (3-5$) being the max I am going to buy a flavor without sampling.

Normally there is a learning curve trying to figure out what you like and how to mix the flavors you got. I was still vaping store bought for the first cpl months of my diy venture because, I was lazy and didnt have an ADV recipe.

I wash/re-use glass bottles, and eventually throw em away. I just got 50LDPE bottles for 10$ off amazon though.

Plastic holds flavor. It's my understanding that you can reuse plastic a few times if you use it for the same recipe over and over. Glass you can wash out with soap and water and use for different recipes. I prefer the usability of squeezing from a plastic needle tip to using a dropper then tossing the bottle though.

Yeah you can reuse them a few times just wash with distilled water and soap then rinse again with distilled water. Sometimes I'll wash them with dw and soap then rinse with some alcohol then with water again.

I have 15 30mL glass bottles that I reuse constantly that are much much easier to clean. You just remove the labels you put on them, boil in dw then put them in the oven to dry and you're good as new.

There are trade offs for both kinds of bottles. I prefer to carry plastic around because it's much easier to squeeze than to unscrew the cap and use the dropper in glass bottles. If you buy plastic bottles in quantities of 100, they're cheap (like 30 cents each) so you can just toss them after use without much worry.

It's really up to what you think will work best for you. I use both glass and plastic.

Probably just rebranded (and marked up considerably) flavors. Possibly mixtures of flavors.

It really depends on what kind of vanilla you want, and some experimenting with different ones might be in order, but if I were making that and just wanted a little vanilla in it, I'd probably start by replacing some % of the Bavarian with some % of INW Shisha Vanilla or TFA Vanilla Swirl and see how that goes.

If I really, really wanted a good orange vanilla cream, I'd get the stuff to make this one

Hello! You probably can. I've never bought flavors off Ebay, but it seems legit. My only reservation is that I don't know what brand this is, so I can't vouch for the quality.

The page suggests mixing each flavor at 3-5% which is a common ratio, so if you try 5% of each, adding 10% total flavor to the base you suggested, you would only reduce the nic level to 5.4 mg/ml and 55/45 pg/vg ratio.

No need for machinery, just shake the bottle thoroughly.

Do not put the mix in hot water. Just don't.

In the end, it's up to you if you want to take the plunge. All you really have to lose is that the flavors won't be the ones you were looking for, or a bit of time and effort getting the taste right. If you make small test batches, you can still use the base with other flavorings should you desire to continue your pursuit. If you do want to venture further, you should look into the more popular brands of flavorings, such as FlavourArt, Capella and The Perfumer's Apprentice.

When you start with a 70vg/30pg base at 6mg/mL of nicotine and when you add flavorings, you throw the vg/pg ratio off as well as decrease the amount of nicotine. Now, this isn't the end of the world and it's fine for someone just starting out, but if you want those exact ratios and exactly 6mg/mL of nicotine, you're going to need to buy all three of those ingredients separately (which the majority of us here do).

The only apple I have is FA Fuji and it's delicious. I don't have any grapes, but I hear Inawera has a great grape flavoring. There are a ton of vanillas that you are just going to have to try out in order to pick your favorite (TFA Vanilla Swirl, CAP French Vanilla, INW Shisha Vanilla, DIYFS Holy Vanilla, the list goes on). Mint is something I am not too familiar with so I can't really help there. Take a look at some of these flavorings that are the most popular and take your pick.

However, the best way to go about ordering flavors is to pick a few highly rated recipes that you think fit the flavor profile you are after and order the flavors required to make those recipes. Check out the monthly recipe threads on this sub for good recipes, visit alltheflavors.com and search for "hot", "top", "popular" by selecting those options for the "TAGS" dropdown.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT mix 100mL of anything until you know that you absolutely love the recipe and/or ingredients or you will waste your ingredients. Stick to making smaller batches preferably 15mL sizes or 30mL at the most and once you know you enjoy the recipe, then mix up whatever size your little heart desires.

As far as recommended percentages to use for flavorings, there is no right or wrong answer. Everyone tastes things differently and a percentage that tastes amazing to you may be too high or too low for someone else. This hobby is a DIY hobby for a reason and you ultimately just have to try it or do it yourself to see what you like best. You can follow people's suggestions for percentages of each flavoring to use, but just keep in mind that it is their suggestion and what works best for you. You can search this sub for a certain flavor to see what percentage people are recommending by typing that flavor into the search bar, you can go to e-liquid-recipes.com and search for the flavor there to find out more, you can look here to see if anyone has posted a review of that flavor, or you can go to alltheflavors.com and search for the flavor there (probably the best option). For example here is what alltheflavors.com offers in regards to CAP Double Apple. Note that it shows you what recipes the flavoring is used in, the percentages used, an average used percentage, and what vendors have that flavor in stock! Pretty damn cool actually!

I know this is a shit ton of info, but this is all stuff that I wish I knew before I jumped into this hobby with a blindfold on. Let me know if you have any other questions.

You can choose between 100% VG Or 100% PG for their nicotine bases. You can edit the calculator you use to factor in whatever ratio of nicotine you're using.

As long as you take precautions with your nicotine, the 100mg base is typically a safe option, and the most cost effective. You can start with whatever you feel comfortable with; I would say 48 or 60 at the lowest. The lower ones give you a little more wiggle room.

I don't know of anywhere that you can buy a solution of Citric Acid from besides Nude Nicotine, but I would be surprised if that's the only place. You can also use different flavorings that have citric acid in them in its place.

I'm no lawyer, but you should be able to to still continue to buy your supplies. We may see some regulation around nicotine base but I think it will be a while and I'd imagine it would just be like rules and taxes.

No personal exp, but I have read others say a dry wickless clapton coil will hold several drops. That should get a few puffs, enough to get a good tasting.

Simplest way to put is I have an ap on my phone called vape tool. You can store your liquids...seperatly..create recipes..and also store and modify them to your likeing. Say if u want more vg/pg. Etc. I have yet to find a program or excel that let's u do all in the same thing As well as the ap. Problem is I'd like it to be computer based not phone based. There were a few excel docs I liked but accidentally deleted when I fresh Installed windows. And can no longer find them. I like to e organized and seems like everyone on here does too. That why I'm asking your guys opinions at to what u guys like about what's at the right or if u have something a little better or tweaked.

This is the best one if you want to use a program that you have to download. Does literally everything you need it to do and everything that you described in your vape tool app. The inventory in this calculator is very useful.

If you want something that will pretty much do the same thing as the downloadable program but is a website, go to All The Flavors. This is a paid subscription site, but $15 for the year is nothing really and everyone that is anyone will be on that site.

It's probably best to put it in the freezer yeah. When you take it out just let it come to room temperature before shaking and splitting it up

Also iv heard some flavorings can lose their potency over time. How long are the bottles lasting? Time might be the culprit too.

Yes. But if your target ratio is 70/30, the flavors (primarily PG based) will change your final ratio. e.g. 10% flavor will end up 60/40.

Excellent way to get your feet wet. As already stated it does change your final ratio and nic level, but not a deal breaker. You may have to get creative with a calculator (or maybe not, try to input a recipe, see how that goes).

Here is my general rule of thumb for steeping:

• Fruits -- Good right away or within 2-3 days
• Lighter Creams -- 3-5 days
• Heavy Creams/Custards -- 1-2 weeks
• Bakeries -- 1-2 Weeks
• Tobaccos -- 2-3 Weeks

My first thoughts are that it might not make a great seal for cutting off airflow to reduce oxidation, and it might be messy. I could be totally wrong though.

On top of the 70/30 mix you bought you'd need a good amount of vg added to reduce the amount of pg. Just add your flavoring to your 70/30 base and next time buy pg, vg, and nic separate

I hear FW Blueberry is one of the best. That along with FA Bilberry at .5% will really make it come out.

Use the cheesecake base from Diyordies.com and take out the strawberries and add whatever fruits you want.

You can just buy like 120ml or whatever you want of nic and split it up in to bottles, would save you a lot. What I plan on doing is getting like 1L of nic and then splitting it up in to 60ml bottles with an argon blanket and sending them to the freezer.

I haven't heard of a nicotine vendor that sells nicotine in 10mL bottles. The smallest I've gotten was a 15mL sample from Nude Nicotine. I don't know if you can order sample size after sample size from them, though. Which nicotine vendor did you get the 10mL bottles from?

A lot of tractor supply stores will have USP PG in bulk, like $20-25/gal, that's about the only place I've seen PG. You can also get some pretty good deals on VG/PG through amazon, which is great if you have prime for free shipping.

I have heard of people getting VG at places like walmart and CVS, but that's about it.
