Accidentally just figured out CCD Wonder Worm
submitted about 9 years ago by choose27

So I purchased INW Cactus after all of the praise I saw on this sub. When I smelled it I thought it smelled familiar but couldn't quite figure out why. I reuse my bottles sometimes because I never have enough new empty glass bottles for mixing and found an almost empty bottle of CCD Wonder Worm. When I opened it to clean it I immediately smelled the INW Cactus... Since Wonder Worm DESTROYS my coils I thought Cactus + Lots of Sweetener. Then I remembered a post about CCD having a good amount of Citric Acid or something to make it tart/sour. So I decided to just quickly try Cactus + Cap Super Sweet...

  • INW Cactus 3%
  • Cap Super Sweet 1.5%

It smells REALLY close. The almost empty bottle is pretty old so it doesn't smell as potent but it tastes exactly like it. I never would have even tried cactus for this since the profile describes it as gummy worms and sweet tarts. Give it a shot if you are looking for a Wonder Worm clone. Don't let the 4.5% flavoring fool you. Cactus is STRONG and 1.5% Cap Super Sweet is like 3% of TFA Sweetener + Citric Acid.

Edit: definitely missing some grape (no clue which one since I don't have any grape concentrates) but I'm pretty sure cactus + super sweet is what makes the sour gummy bear flavor that I couldn't find in any of the gummy candy flavors and TFA sweet and tart was way of even at really low percentages. Should be a good place to start if someone has some grape to toss in there. May need to tweak percentages it's extremely potent at 4.5% but I haven't let it steep. I posted this immediately after mixing and smelling side by side.

I haven't attempting to clone this, but I've had the juice and it definitely has grape in it.

Sorry I never tasted grape in wonder worm. Always tasted like gummy worms with some tart/tang like sour gummy worms from the gas station or something.

Yes, the grape is there, but unless I told you, you wouldn't notice it. It's the same grape used in purple pixi sticks in fact.

Now that you said something I think I smell a tiny bit of pixi sticks grape. Any idea which grape tastes/smells like that? I have no grape concentrates but what I mixed up smells and tastes almost exactly like WW to me at least.

I so want to believe that this is real but I have my doubts. I'm too tired to break out my supplies right now so it'll have to wait until tomorrow. I have an empty bottle of WW and some cactus, will definitely be making some smell tests at least. I agree that there is some grape in there as well, perhaps a touch of INW Grape. I have that on hand as well, looks like I'll be busy tomorrow.

Please let me know. I don't have any grape and never even tasted it until it was mentioned here. I tried so many different gummy bear and sweet tart combinations to clone this a while back and just gave up. The real stuff is still clear after months but all the gummy bear and sweet tart concentrates I purchased had a yellowish color and smelled/tasted nothing like wonder worm. But I had just mixed something with cactus and opening the old bottle of wonder worm definitely made me wanna try again. It smells way more potent right now but I just mixed it. It definitely smells like tangy/sour gummy bears right now.

I've never tried WW, but INW Grape tastes like a purple pixie stick to me. Maybe try adding it by the drop because that stuff will overpower most other flavors even at low %s.

I doubt they use INW, more than likely its TFA Grape Candy/Juice

Huh, and here I am trying to use gummy bases for like 6 months trying to figure out why the fuck I can't get close to a sour gummy worm..

Any idea of what I should sub the super sweet for in EM and CA?

I did the same thing. Hopefully this narrows the search a bit.

Not sure but cap super sweet has: Sucralose (2x TFA so 20%), Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Potassium Sorbate, and Sodium Benzoate. Not sure what transforms the cactus into gummy bear but I think something does.

I always thought it had peach or apricot in it. But cactus does sound very plausible

Ever find out what grape was missing? I just got hooked to this flavor and downed 60ml in a few days, really need my own recipe here.
