I have spent a lot of time perfecting these. I use bases because it makes it easier to use concentrates to mix different flavors of things like donuts, cookies, cakes, etc. If you were to break it all down it would seem to be way too many flavors, but I have taken the time to break it down individually. I used to use 15+ flavors randomly and I got called out for it a lot, but I've changed my ways a lot since then. I've noticed that there's a perfect sweet spot that can vary by even a .1% so I do not recommend substituting these flavors. I did start by mixing the donut by itself until I nailed it, and it always ended up around 10% so it was very easy to convert to a base recipe.
Donut base
Glazed Doughnut CAP|35| :--|:--| Sugar Cookie CAP|20| Cheesecake (Graham Crust) TFA|18| Cupcake Batter FLV|10| Cookie FA|6| Joy FA|6| Biscuit INW|5| Note if you want to mix this as a recipe, just add a decimal (35 to 3.5 etc).
Flavor Breakdown - I really love Glazed Doughnut, but only at semi low percentages. Too much of it and it just tastes like playdough, regardless it needs 3 days to mellow out. Sugar Cookie is one of my most commonly used flavors for any type of cookie/cake because of that nice buttery sweet cookie taste and it works well in this. I used to use it higher, but 2% is the sweet spot. Cheesecake Graham Crust (I call it CGC) is another favorite, it adds some texture and density to any bready flavor, while also adding some very subtle creamy notes. This flavor wouldn't be the same without Cupcake Batter, which flavorah absolutely nailed. Normally you need around 4% to get the cupcake taste, I just wanted it's unique cake notes to make it a little more cakey yet not a cake donut, which you could definitely make by upping this flavor. Flavor Art did an amazing job on Cookie, which is more a biscotto than cookie I wish more companies made note of this. Joy is such a versatile flavor. It can add that irreplaceable cake essence to cake flavors, but more importantly add a fried taste to a doughnut flavor. If you haven't tried Biscuit, you absolutely should. It doesn't add that much to this flavor, but it is still essential IMO. I've tried it at higher percentages, but I prefer it to be a little lower so the sweet doughy goodness can shine. I really recommend mixing this base up and using it at 10% with other flavors. It is good by itself, but it's amazing when added with berries, fruits (apple for a fritter), or creams/vanilla. if you guys like this and want to see my lueberry base and my Blueberry Donut recipe, just let me know! By all means, feel free to sell this recipe. I wont share a lot of them, but I'm posting this knowing that the entire world will see this.
You think the cupcake batter could be subbed for CAP Cake Batter? I have everything but that and would wanna play around with this. Also if I just wanted to mix this up into a 30ml, should I just move the decimal over one?
Cap cake batter doesn't compare to flv cupcake batter. Get the flv because it has a really good thick batter taste with hints of vanilla and dark sugar (maple or brown sugar). It totally blows cap out of the water. I bet you could sub it but even OP said not to sub anything. Also, OP gave you the answer about mixing this in any amount as a recipe. Move the decimal over left one space. I.e. 20% becomes 2.0%
Oh I missed the decimal part, but I figured that's what I needed to do. I guess I'm going to have to add FLV cupcake batter to the list of things I need.
you can sub flv cupcake batter with 1 or more other flavors ? like idk CAP cream butter + INW Shisha vanilla + TFA brown sugar? (i just wrote some flavors about the taste you feel in flv cupcake)
I recently ordered cap glazed doughnut, because their chocolate glazed donut had an element to it that I couldn't find anywhere else in order to clone a juice that I like. So I wanted the same flavor minus the chocolate.
But it smells so so strongly of playdough that I haven't even tried it. Does it smell strongly like it but at low concentrations actuality taste ok?
Man, I wanna try this so bad.... But I'm missing Cupcake Batter & Biscuit. Just placed two orders for more flavors over the last week. Wish I would of seen the future and knew want to grab extra then.
I saw the post the guys from Bombies made dropping that chocolate donut recipe. I don't like chocolate vapes, so I tried to alter their recipe to be a non chocolate donut; but it came out horrible.
Donuts a weird flavor I've been trying to hit for a bit now. Tried Wayne's bluenuts, but it didn't taste like a donut to me. Was even thinking of taking his recipe and adding CAP or TFA donut to it.
I never thought I'd own 120 different flavors and yet constantly come across recipes I'm missing one or two things for 😐
I'm generally not a fan of chocolate vapes either, but CAP Chocolate Glazed Donut is a great flavor. The Bombies Deputy recipe is quite nice, and the chocolate flavor is definitely not overpowering.
