Hiya,
Trying my hand at creating a 'true' Milkshake base so I can just add variety of fruits. Looking for more than just Strawberries 'n Milk type thing. I want that Milkshake icecream thickness and top it of with whatever I feel like.
I've tried my hand working around VBIC (TPA) together with Whipped Cream (TPA), Milk (FW) and Cream Fresh (FA) but I'm just not getting there.
Probably flavour wise I did;
VBIC (TPA) 4%
Milk (FW) 2,5%
Whipped Cream (TPA) 2%
This got a quite whipped cream milk taste, a bit thin and missing that Ice Cream feeling/note. I'm using Milk (FW) since Milk/Dairy (TPA) was sold out so had to sub it.
I got MTS Vape Wizard in my stash as well that I've read about adding weight but I have not yet played around with it as I wanted to get the taste first.
My latest attempt was;
VBIC (TPA) 3%
Milk (FW) 2%
Whipped Cream (TPA) 2%
Cream Fresh (FA) 1%
Koolada 10% at 2%
Just wanted to add Koolada to see if I could get even more 'true' feeling with coldness. But it was just a mess and way to icey.
Any and all tips appreciated.
If you are going to use koolada to replicate that "cool" feeling of a milkshake, try .25-.50% instead.
Check out TFA Malted Milk plus TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust for that maltiness you associate with milkshake.
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I don't think I have Malted Milk but I think a friend has some I might be able to trade. Guess I can also ask about the percentages I would be playing around at, low I assume?
I use cheesecake graham crust, fresh cream and CAP VBIC. You definitely need milk and ice cream flavoring, and something to give it maltiness and body - cheesecake in my case, but try small amount of hazelnut or something like CAP Creamy Yogurt etc.
I got Creamy Yogurt (CAP) actually. Just wanted it all so been ordering lots and lots of stuff to get this down. I was afraid of it adding to much of a sour note to the milky taste so I haven't used it yet.
I also got Cheesecake Graham Crust (TPA) so I can give that a go as well.
Give this a shot, probably the creamiest milky vape I've vaped to date.
Brand | Flavour | % | ---- | ---- | --- | TFA | Malted milk | 1 TFA | VBIC | 8 TFA | Marshmallow | 3
Marshmallow for mouthfeel, vbic for creamy base notes and malted milk for extra creaminess, at 1% it doesn't add much malt but makes it incredibly milky, any more and I think it might be gross. I usually just vape it with 6% Strawberry ripe and it's pretty perfect. Can also add a minute amount of dragon fruit to mingle with the Strawberry .25 -.50
That looks pretty yum. Maybe I'll have to pick upthat malted milk!
malted milk tfa 2%
vbic tfa 4%
add 1%whipped cream or cream fresh or sweet cream. some recipes on ELR call for vanilla cupcake @4%. french vanilla creme@2%
the choices are endless but if you search "milkshake" on elr and sort by the ratings tab it will give you a solid start of something that provenly[sp] works
2 days ago I did;
VBIC 3%
Milk 2%
Whipped Cream 2%
Cream Fresh 1,5% CGC 2% / Creamy Yogurt 3% / MTS Wizard 0.5%
Can't say I liked any of them so far by the taste of going for a creamy Milkshake icecream taste. I also tried with French Vanilla instead of VBIC for the MTS Wizard one at 3%.
I will have a go at them again in a few days but I'm skeptical. Also adding Koolada isn't my thing at all as I think the coolness draws too much attention from the flavours so going to drop it all together.
So far I'm still liking VBIC 4%, Milk 2,5% and Whipped Cream 2% best. Though I'd REALLY want to check out Malted Milk at this point. I like how CGC added depth but should probably have gone with 1%.
I guess my quest continues to get that perfect 'true' Milkshake base.
I'd agree it is quite high but used in conjunction with Strawberry ripe it stops it becoming a floral mess after a couple weeks steep, it's delicious as a shake & vape but gets much creamier given a couple weeks to steep. If you don't use the Strawberry you could probably take it down to around 1.5% - 2.0%. Let me know if you give it a shot 👍
I've been using this for a couple months. It a true milkshake IMO.

If you have access to Hangsen creams, they're very good. Also, Whipped Cream already has the Triacetin you'd be wanting from the MTS, so I'd skip that. I haven't had anything turn out well with the MTS.
