Okay, so..I was talking to /u/TheCatHimself about this the other week, and I want to get some thoughts from the folks here.
What are folks thoughts on vapes containing floral notes (Rose, violet, honeysuckle, jasmine, etc), and steep time?
My instincts on this are turning out to be dead wrong as they're largely not shake and vapes by any means, but I'm still fumbling for how long a proper steep is.
Rose seems to be a few days (FA in my case). So i figured, okay, try a few days for things. I attempted a blueberry/honeysuckle mix because I need to do things with honeysuckle as it's my favorite real world flavor so i of course bought 30ml off the bat. It wasn't great, it was meh even after a week, and i threw it in the back of my box.
Fast forward a month. I was going through my juice box and noticed it was there, pulled it out with the other in-progress flavors and said "i should vape these to get rid of them".
Suddenly honeysuckle is as I wanted it to be. Which shocked the living flying spaghetti monster out of me to say the least.
So, what are ya'll's thoughts on steep time for florals?
I'm not sure since I have no experience but I wonder if INW has any florals because they have really earthy tones to their fruits. Which I love.
I would personally consider Rosemary Shisha a floral-esque (really a herbal but...to me they're in the same vein). But realistically if they have one, I've never seen it listed anywhere.
I know FA, TFA do, which is where most of my experience lies. I would assume MF does, and maybe FLV, but the former is too expensive and the latter i only know in a very select flavors.
So far the only "floral" I have a good amount of experience with is Honey (particularly FLV Honey Bee). IDK if it really qualifies but I liken it to a floral sweetness, at least translated to vaping. I damn near tossed the recipe I had it in straight away but after sitting for a week it really tamed down quite a bit and was in a much more enjoyable place. I would imagine they would get more nuanced and less "in your face" with more time too.
Curious, what % did you use the honeysuckle at in the blueberry/honeysuckle mix? It's the same way in my honey pearry clone, where honeysuckle takes some time but it seems the rest of the fruits taste better right away..
