Anyone else hesitant to have nic shipped in hundred degree weather?

I typically load up on nic in the cooler months and am down to my last 750ml and need to reorder. I have fears about ordering when I know the temp has been high in my area. Am I being irrational, or is this a valid concern?

In the summer I just buy a few cartons of Newports and get the nicotine out by milking them like you would a cow's udders.

I had the same concern. I'm in AZ so it's not unusual for temps to get to 120F+, and even warmer for areas (like mailboxes) that are exposed to direct sunlight. From what I could gather, it's not a big deal as long as it's not in the extreme heat for an extended period of time. I also gathered that the biggest adversary to nicotine is Oxygen, so as long as the packaging is great, your nic should be ok. I don't have any actual experience or data for this though so I could be wrong.

In AZ as well and just received my nic order a couple weeks ago (when was close to 120), luckily I get home soon after the mail carrier drops off so it didn't sit out long.

I intentionally ordered more than enough nic to get me through the summer back during the cooler months. I would be hesitant, but if you know you're going to need it, maybe order a smaller quantity and re-order some more when it cools off a bit.

Totally valid. It's why we order from Carolina Xtract over Nude despite the higher cost- nic coming all the way from the opposite coast vs. 45 minutes away.

I ordered from CX because cause their process is free of oxygen, hence less oxidation. I'm in Atlanta, which isn't very far, but it will still be in the back of a delivery truck or shipping facility for a couple of days.

I live in Atlanta too, and haven't tried Carolina Xtract yet, is it your preferred nic supplier? I think I'll order a small batch from them and see how it compares, my current supply is almost gone and getting a little peppery tasting.

All that bubble wrap probably helps keep it cool. I think there's about 20' of it wound around each bottle. Then there's the fancy foil bag that could serve as a fire shelter for a small mammal. Other than that I can't tell much difference compared to Nude. Both are great quality.

I'm reading many comments from people avoiding nicotine to get warm, but has anybody ever experienced nicotine to go bad (change its taste) by heat only, so no light, no air?

I try to order based on need during the summer, and over-order during the winter.

Although, FWIW, I've never gotten bad nic from a reputable supplier regardless of season or shipping temperatures.

I'm in Australia and I don't think I would ever order nicotine in the middle of summer even though I'm in Melbourne in the summer most days are over 30 celsius and if it comes during the middle of the day and sits in a box in your letterbox it's gonna be like an oven.

Totally valid concern. I refuse to buy more nic until the 115 degree heat index of west central Florida calms the fuck down. Luckily, I've been vaping zero nic for a long time, but my husband is suffering since our freezer took a nosedive a few weeks ago. All his nicotine was ruined.

It's absolutely ruined. I made him some 2 mg juice last week out of the same nic, it was a disaster. This is a garage freezer that was likely off for weeks in this ridiculously hot weather.

Thanks for all the replies! I talked to UPS, who is handling my shipment from Carolina Extract, and explained the situation. The offered the solution of being able to pic it up from their facility, where it is being held in climate control. That limits the amount of time its stuck in a hot truck. Great service from UPS.

Sounds like a valid concern to me, I've been thinking about it recently..

This also applies to all the vape shops selling DIY accessories or e-liquids and general handling of the whole process. I guess you rely on people to have the proper education and store it properly, or at least to be exposed to unpleasant conditions for as shortest amounts of time.
