Extreme Ice has been my ADV for 4 years now since the first day I started vaping and still going strong with at least a tank a day faithfully from this toothpaste. However my life is now ruined because I picked up a bottle of White Walker from SeduceJuice 2 weeks ago which is on some serious next lvl than anything I've had before. So instead of fretting or going back to buying juice at $35 for 120ml I'm going to see if I can make something that I'm content with.
I'd like to try and keep my base with Extreme Ice (FW) which is menthol & wintergreen and I mix at 15-20% - That might seem high but I believe 15% is standard for MBV and every flavor shot is another 5%. I know I'll have to drop that down big time or not even use it, no biggie as I'm open to anything.
I did a lot of research on what mint flavorings to get from here and reading reviews & notes. I got Wintergreen (FW), White Winter (Spearmint) FlavourArt, Mix Mint (INW). I wanted regular Mint from INW but they didn't have it and Mix adds menthol so I wasn't bothered.
I can go in many directions but don't have a starting point so hopefully some of the M&M fiends could give me any pointers or experience with the flavorings.
I already have Creme De Menthe (TFA), Peppermint (TFA), Cool Mint (CAP), and of course Koolada & Menthol 10% to play with also.
It doesn't get much better than INW Mint flavorings. Mix mint Is the best, followed by Natural Mint.
I'll just leave this here
Some of my friends said it feels like mouthwash and makes them cold
Ingredient|% :---|---: Koolada 10% (TPA)|4 Peppermint (TPA)|10 Wintergreen (TPA)|6
Flavor total: 20%
Remember to rate it at e-liquid-recipes.com!
Even with those flavours you'll find a decent amount of variety.
My favourite's "face melt" which is basically 4% menthol / 3% pepper Mint. Spearmint makes a suitable replacement also.
Anyway your mileage may vary but enjoy trying some. :)
I was thinking of mixing the whole lot basically. Does Wintermint + Spearmint + Peppermint play nice with each other? I take it Winter & Spear does and I was going to throw the Mix Mint with extreme ice in as that is what I had in mind when ordering. What plays well with each other and % are going to be the issue.
I'm going to go balls out for my first try. Extreme ice + spear/winter/pepper mint + Mix Mint + Cool Mint. If that's not minty I don't know what would be. I read Menthol is a natural occurring chemical in mints although Wintergreen isn't one but that should give me enough blast without having to add menthol (10%) or koolada.
I should add that I'm throwing it in my taifun/kayfun v5 at 10-30 watts. I'm not looking to use it in a griffin or high wattage, I don't know how it's humanly possible to do so either.
I just run 1% menthol (10%) and 3% peppermint TFA. I call it peppermenth.
I just mixed that and man that's some good stuff. Now I have a good starting point on trying to see if I can improve it with all my different mint/menthols.
Nice, glad I could help.
If you get a next level mix going let me know. Peppermenth is my ADV as I get tired of virtually every other flavour.
I take it you've tried that but with Wintergreen or Spearmint instead? I just my flavoring and it's time to experiment. The hyped FA Spearmint and INW Mix Mint will be mixed it at it's correct single flavor % and then I'll throw .5 or 1% menthol in later to compare.
I have been diy'ing my own liquids for over a year now, tried all sorts, but my own menthol has been my adv for a while now, I mix my own Menthol from crystals and my own em with em powder, I just find it tastes better and is far more cost effective, my recipe is simple... 5% Peppermint 5% cap Vanilla custard 4% Menthol 3% Koolada 3% E.M. from time to time I'll add a little sugar cookie or vanilla cupcake in there but as it is it's a really nice adv. give it a try man ;)
The best stand alone mint flavour I've come across is Inawera's Frost. If your a fan of spearmint, this flavour is for you!
It's very potent as 1-1.5% is all you'll need.
It's fresh, slightly sweet, very minty and has a similar cooling effect to that of Koolada. 10/10 for flavour and potency, without any noticeable throat hit. Very well crafted all-in-one concentrate. I highly recommend it to any mint fan out there!
This is my ADV: Logan's Winter Ice
Flavor | Brand | % | ---------|----------|---------- | Wintergreen | TPA | 10 | | Menthol | TPA | 4 | Don't get scared by the high menthol percentage, it's well balanced.
edit: I never vaped this @ sub ohm, but at 14W on a 1.2ohm coil in a kayfun5 it's splendid.
